I think cestus is basically incinerator remade to be effective against Aegis. I like how incinerator has better effect accumulation but low damage, and cestus have high damage but low effect accumulation. The existance of the new one doesn't hide the existance of the older one
I occasionally use the Incinerator on my Lynx, it does perform quite well. The Cestus seems balanced, which for Pixonic, is very strange.😄 I do use the Raine pilot with the increased splash radius skill.
I like using the scald much more over the incinerator, since the whole weapon is designed around getting blast going scald does it much more efficiently with the short 6 second reload

I run PR dread incinerator orochi with maxed showdown drone...and gosh it loves meatball skyros...what i loved about incinerator is they are eveready, autoloading is what make you confident...coz you dont have to worry about reloading or new clip... Sometimes, we get in situations when we jump in enemy lines and then we realise, ""oh snap, i got one round left in my clip, i forgot to reload ""....that you wont have to face with incinerator... I need to ask and inquire couple of things, you in discord?? Or any sorts??
I think the incinerator still works well. And looks like it outperforms the cestus in most cases. Pretty much the same type of weapon. Another to rebrand a weapon to make more $$$

Not to be rude, but you put smuta instead of incinerator. and also i would pick incinerator because it does the blastcharge faster and hits harder although it does run out of ammo faster.
new grenade launchers are just insane. They got splash damage, 500m range, small magazine capacity but only 5 second reload and horrifing damage output. And if that wasn’t enough they also charge the effect super fast.

The needle weapons didn't seem OP upon release and people weren't using them, they gave them a 20% damage buff, wouldn't be surprised if these received a buff so people will spend money on them....
The target lock makes all the difference too. Not having to aim manually. Incinerators can still be extremely effective but you really have to work on your aiming skills, leading the target etc. I hate games like that first one. Just a little more time and you would have won. 😂

The Blastcharge effect is effective against forcefield bots, tears them apart almost instantly

The problem with incinerators is not the dmg but the aim or so be more precise, projectile speed
I somewhat disagree. They are great rockets for flying targets.

@UniformGem2 yes, but when it's put on a 4 gun bot the opening volley may be enough to kill the red. A lot like how exodus works.

But with cestus you will hit 100% of your shots, with incinerator you will miss half your shots against a fast moving opponent
incinerator is far better at sstacking explosion effects
and cestus has more damage
