How would vijeo citect knows which excel file to write or read ? You are just entering the sheet number.

File which is currently open in excel application is been written. So we are mentioning on sheet number.
If excel application is not open then it will not be written

You can get simple report in .rtf format (Rich Text Format).
However, for reports in excel format using cicode is compulsory.

If you are using the Excel available on Office-2021 on Windows 10/11, the add-in doesn't work. To fix this you will have to install MSExcel from Office-2010 or lower in addition to your existing Office 2021 installation. So you will need to run 2 versions of Excel on your PC! . This is the only way to use excel to edit your Citect database tables.
