AU where Friend was a baby during the Commission and when Kezza, Tycer, and Luke quit/escaped, they found Friend and kidnap- I mean... adopted them away from the Commissioner/Commander so he wouldn't experiment on them...
So all the weird portal stuff happened but since Friend is a baby, Tycer instead took them through the portal which leads us to now :]
Also, I mostly just headcanon/in My AU, Friend is AFAB so that's why Maya called them niece (and also because Friend is a baby and doesn't really have the ability to choose their gender/name yet so....-)
and no, not Maya nor Amber are related to Friend, they just call themselves their aunts and call Friend their niece :]
