Namthar "An offering of melody"

'Namthar', which in Tibetan word means 'thoroughly liberating'. Namthar tells a stories or biographies of yogis or Indo-Tibetan Mahasiddha who attained complete enlightenment. The primary purpose of such works is to inspire the devout and lead them to true liberation. Namthar do not focus on a literal chronology of events, but rather function as a kind of learning example that hits the key points of the yogi's spiritual life.
This Namthar, dedicated to His holiness the Dalai Lama well being, was performed during 60th founding anniversary of Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts, Mcleodganj by former artists of the institute.
