man i want loom remake so much , we are still left with a cliffhanger , it was suppose to be a trilogy , loom , the forge , the fold , even the team who did the forge fan game quit in 2015 , its unlikely to get a new grim fandango because the story is kinda over
@Xwingpilot There was already elements of voodoo in the first, this one didn't deviate far from it. I loved it. The relationship was a fun twist on it all. The ending is either loved or hated. I loved it. Regarding all the other games, first off; the creator of the second didn't make the rest. He had other unknown intentions. Second, we can assume that it was all a dream or a trick. Notice how Chuckie's eyes glow right at the end, showing that it might not just be an awakening after all.
@superspy6 I'd say from all the difficulties I ended up going though both games, yeah. So therefore my rating out of 'em all: Secret, Curse, Revenge, Escape. And same reason too Jessanator11

I got duped! I was so excited to play the game because I thought it was going to be smoothly animated 3d graphics. But when I played the game it was in 2d. It's still better than the first SE. Animation is a little bit better but you can still see it isn't as smooth as the trailer is showing. Damn false advertising!
Reading this 12 years later, and I still wonder: What sane person would ever want 3D graphics on monkey island? The game was all about hand-painted graphics.
@Mrster Yes well, a couple of things I didn't like about the game was all the voodoo stuff, which I thought was cheesy, the relationship with Guybrush and Elaine, and the ending scene. I mean, in the following games which pick where the game left off, how is it possible about LeChuck being Guybrush's "brother", and then just plain enemy?
@trearoos I played them all years ago, that's not my point though in my post. The creator didn't create the games after MI2. Who knows what his intentions were?
Lucas Arts should be sued for this trailer, the remake graphics don't look anything remotely close to this... Just the same rushed crap full of gradients of the first special edition, with lame ass copy-past-rotate animation.

I'm so happy that adventure games are making a return. Maybe eventually we'll get Loom, Grim Fandango, and other old school favorites on consoles?

I would love a new game set in the Loom universe. I want to see more guilds. Or maybe remake the original, but greatly expanded.
The hint line did not use "CHEATER", it used "JEDI' in the original.
And it’s still JEDI in the special edition. I think they made this just for the trailer.
You can tell that Lechuck is enjoying the new graphics more than Guybrush!
