You need to put screens up on ALL your doors that open to the outside AND all your windows, @Sundai! Avoid the bug and “rodentia” at ALL cost, sis! I also RAID the outside perimeter of my home and outside doors 1x a month. I also planted mint on each side of the house to keep mice, snakes, and spiders to a minimum (need more than a small plant).🤗
To RAISE the blinds you have to pull the cable down and to the RIGHT.
To LOWER the blinds you have to pull the cable down and to the LEFT.

The string you're pulling for the blinds to go up, you have to pull it diagonally! Don't just pull straight up. That's how they'll stay! Hope that makes sense!! 😊

Hello Sundai. For your blinds, if you pull the string to the side, it will make them stay up. Pull the string in the opposite direction to the side to release the hold. God bless.

Lol! Those tiles were definitely purple sis. Don’t sweat the bathroom too much. It’s your first home. Also I’m not sure if you’re aware that you can put cute little pink covers on your cat’s nails to stop the scratching. They stay on and work well
Pull the blinds upward and then pull the rope to the left or right at the top and it should hook and stay there.
Maybe you could use some water proof shower curtains as a sort of backdrop to cover the tiles in the bathroom? Lots of cute designs to choose from, inexpensive, and all you need is the curtains and shower rods.

1981 here. Hey girl. You need to pull the string on the blind to the right to make it stay up, and then pull it slightly to the left to make it go down. Sometimes you have to hold the bottom part of the blind and gently help it down WHILE pulling the string to the left IF it is stuck in the up position. Let me know if you have any questions 😊
So when you pulling the blinds hold the string the the left and when you want them to stop push the string to the right. If you look there’s like a gear thing where the string comes from and when you push the string to the right you get it “locked in place” or whatever. Idk how to explain but I’m from 1992 so that’s my level of experience with blinds 😂
Hey, now that you had to get that wood colored shelving for the kitchen and that jute rug, those off white/beige upper cabinets won’t look so out of place with more warm toned things surrounding it. If you can, get some white/beige accessories, like patterned dish towels, oven mitts, trivets and maybe some wood cutting boards for over the stainless counters you wanted to cover. Tie the colors all together though accessories, building upon what you already have, and no one will even notice the uppers being a different color than the lowers, or they might even assume it was all a design choice. It’ll come together in a cohesive way! ♥️

You pull the blind string then carefully yank it to the right and it locks it in somehow. Then when you want to lower them back down you carefully pull the string to the left 😉

My mother got decals that you can put on the tiles to cover up the flower ones. To keep the blinds up you have to pull the cord to side, same with going down. Good luck.
When you pull the blinds cord up, pull it out to the right & that should lock them to stay up. Pull up again but pull out to the left to lower them.

I put 1 cup of chopped kale, carrots, and sometimes chives from the garden into my ramen! More uses for kale and it makes me feel better about eating the ramen 😅

For the blinds
Pull the string to the right you should hear a click which is the string being held in place.
To undo just pull the string to the left for them to be un-held.

Idk if anyone described how to work a blind but u pull it up then pull (typically) to the right to initiate the lock. Usually if u look up where the string comes from ull b able to see the lock up in there and u just push the string into it when its at the height u want

Hi Sundai! Jute is good material that should hold up to Kitty scratches and spills, lol! I have a jute rug on my patio. I love Tokyo Treat boxes! The ramen in there was fire 🔥 😂 how did you like last month's box, the Night Sakura? That box was everything!😋 no the curtain rod didn't fall down 👀😆 you need to pull the cord in a diagonal to get it to stay up. You have a hate hate relationship with that bathroom 😂

lol trust me global warming happening over here. my favourite thing about Vancouver used to be the weather; never too hot, never too cold. Always like 10-25c all year round. now in mid may we were already over 30c. Hard pass, I wouldn't mind it if we had apartments with central air but because of how the weather used to be 95% of the places do not have a/c. Also our apartment faces south. So it is like sauna the entire spring and summer. We have a portable a/c (which i know not everyone can afford, and i'm lucky to) but it doesn't do much honestly it just makes it so it's bearable, it's not like real a/c. I've lived in warmer places but everywhere else had proper air con and it really makes a difference specially getting to sleep.

The tile situation is wild because my childhood home in philadelphia was baby blue and pink and i mean the entire thing was tiled. My dad changed it to white of course but wow the memories
girl i think there is a hack for the curtains you have if you put paper towel rolls cut up in between the rings, i makes it so you cant see the rings and you get the nice pleats that stay in place
If that was my bathroom, I would add white and green accents, embrace the pink and blue, be living my barbie dreamhouse life

I don't think the blue tiles are that bad. The brown flooring you brought to cover them make them less noticeable. As for the rest of the bathroom, I do agree those pink tiles do look funky and that shower spout was installed at an odd spot. I did laugh when you screamed about your roast burning at the end

That mat is ABSOLUTELY purple. But…it doesn’t look bad. The wooden slats might be a bad idea in room that’s frequently drenched in water. I honestly think you should renovate the bathroom if this is your forever home ❤
