This video definitely has a “documentary“ vibe! The shots that you captured are beautiful, and so artistic! If you are doing this all by yourself (like the shots on the train at the beginning)… Wow! Thank you for all of the extra effort that you put in to share your London life with us! Also, I love how you and Sarah connected… I absolutely love her channel as well, so I was totally fan girling at that moment! 😂
I'd like to see more on balance - the balance between working, life itself, and university/grad school. One of the things I struggle with is balance. I've had to recently quit my job because I couldn't taken the stress of it, moving out of state, grad school, and parents divorcing all at once. I've tried timeblocking many times, but it's never quite worked out.
I'd recommend some of Kaelyn's video's from last year! She did a lot on time blocking and the lucky girl syndrome which might be more what you are looking for :) From my understanding, the dissertation diaries series is specifically documenting the research process and less of the overall balance. Hope this helps!
@@chelseamdunn Sadly I've watched all of them so I'm hoping for maybe more tips! She mentioned doing other videos so I offered an idea, that's all. It has nothing to do specifically with the diaries.

I followed you 2-3 years ago when I was a highschool kid and def did not understand the history thing you were talking about (I’m an international student). Now I’m a sophomore in college and taking Black Transatlantic History this semester. I def understand what you are talking about in your dissertation now. I also just declared my 2nd major in History ❤

I just got monetized in September of last year, and would love you to create a video on what you did after you got monetized, whether that be setting up an LLC, hiring a manager, hiring a lawyer or accountant, etc. Like a video of best advice for small, but monetized channels. And also how to grow, how you engage with other creators, how you started finding sponsors on your own, etc.
Congratulations on your breakthrough! It must be such a relief. I'm at the end of preparing my primary data and hope to see how to analyse it when it's done and be able to say similar things to what you've just said. Fingers crossed for the next steps!

I think talking about your editing process and how you position the cameras on your walks (entrances and exits) might be useful. It would be you getting into the filmmaking process about how you make your decisions based on the vlog goal of the day, the locations, and what should be kept in and out for that particular task. I would be interested in that.

@@KaelynGraceApple Yep, it is the first thing that came to mind when you are walking off the street into an area. I thought, "Oh, did she already place that camera there?" You do your videos in terms of filmmaking so well that I have to remember that you are the only one doing the editing and the overall process. Therefore, what is that process? That means you would be getting into the "teaching" aspect of what you are doing. That would require a lot of thought process and work. I've been binge watching them all day. Impressive work.

I recommend the Lymond Chronicles by Dorothy Dunnett for an international view of the late Tudor period. There is fictional romance, adventure, heroes and villains all interwoven with real life people and fascinating insights into late Tudor politics, trade, religion and multiple levels of society. The first book is called The Game of Kings.
At a time when my professional life is chaos (we're going through layoffs) I find your content so cosy for some reason (it's a compliment :D). Wish I was good at creating content (my TikTok account will stay a tiny one :D) if only for the ability to look back at my life and not just seeing the bad stuff

@@KaelynGraceApple I actually typed that when you mentioned it in the video, and then you started to show and talk about some of the process which was great. I'm relatively new to content creation and finding it a little difficult to cram everything in - my life, documenting my life, and the editing/versioning for other platforms. You do it really well and consistently, so big fan of the bts!
