Fun fact it was confirmed by one of the show’s artists on Twitter the baby universe was the result of a BMO’s wish. They wished for everyone in Ooo to be a kid but the monkey paw side effect was the BMO of that world is a baby monitor. As In he’s actually just a non sentient baby monitor.

I like the detail of Cake not having good control of her powers, Jake has had experience since birth, while Prismo just gave them to her without any actual guidance or instruction…
I got the impression she didn't have good control in Farm World because in worlds without magic, her magic runs out/doesn't work Fiona and Cake also seem to be eating/destroying magic things when they come into contact with them
@@Marzipanilla well In farmworld, magic technically exists there since in that universe, there was a magic crown that both Simon and finn used, as for cake, she is still new with her powers, so naturally she wouldn't have good control...plus, not sure if cake is a magic cat, since we know Jake is half alien which explains his stretching powers, so that might apply to cake as well now...
I like the fact that Cake's personality is entirely based on her time with Fionna, and not just a brand new personality that was just installed in her or something.
@@AlfredEijipart of me thought the idea that Winter King just overcame the crown’s influence through “sheer force of will” was really neat, but it did seem too good to be true. That plus the other cracks in the facade created a really cool somewhat sinister vibe around the character. I did not at all see the ultimate plot twist coming, though, which I did really enjoy
i wonder how he did it though... he still wouldve had to have some kind of realization that the crown was hurting him in order to do that in the first place
The reason why the normalised universe with Marshall-Lee and Gary is snowy is because the universe is in Simons head, and he’s currently in a snow world
So I wonder how much of an impact Simon has on their universe. We see them watching the same show as he is in the human exhibition, and everything is mundane just like his life.
Also the Betty fountain that was created because of a figurine with made up glasses on Simon's apartament, and the walk Fionna has on the first episode is the same Simon had at episode 2, with the banana guards, the skaterollers, etc.
The implications of Ice Marcy having the axe bass are really unsettling. She only got the bass after Simon left her. So she either left after what she saw what Simon was doing to Bonnie, or she tried fighting back against him and subsequently lost. Hence why Simon keeps her as a child- someone he can control.
My thoughts exactly and do you know what's even more disturbing? Ice King could never figure out how to transfer his madness without help, PB likely helped him rewire the crown for another wish as a favor to Marceline. It is possible that when Simon made his wish, his deepest desire was to have Marcy for himself seeing how close she was with PB. This could have made Marceline angry enough to attack Winter King who by accident kills Marceline. Struck by grief and fear of abandonment, he creates a Clone made of Ice, locking her up in a cage so that she may never leave him for anyone ever again
I definitely felt like the line where he says Simon could make a ice version of Betty and the pauses before saying he's joking and that that would be unethical. He clearly understands that that version of Simon isn't like him and that he should hide the some of the details of exactly what he's doing.
I don't think anyone else has mentioned this, but Fionna's knife was glitched and turned normal. we see her grab a big apocalyptic knife, but then later when they get jumped by the destiny gang she goes to pull it out of her bag only to pull out a butter knife, since she turned it normal.
This makes me scared of cake potentially being turned back into a normal cat, she used to have the power too (hotdog guy) but obviously now shes infused with magic
Winter King also suggests creating an ice Betty, implying that he's already done that himself with Marceline. But also he referred to his Betty as "that Betty" which might be more evidence that he also made an ice Betty
Or maybe this one did have more self control back during the Soup episode, and kept his promise to Marcy not to use the crown... then the mutants got her.
In the original story board marcy just have a small cold but over time she gets sicker and sicker and Simon bacame desperate, so maybe Marcy died of sickness
Things to Note: Finn had a flamethrower to help out the people he froze before. Finn's children share the name of the children in Puhoy The remnants of the Crown was where the Crown got nuked after Farmworld Lich was released The Crown is capable of capturing gods because it was built to capture the Lich. Not on GOLB level tho. If Marcy died after she got her axe, but before she could meet the humans, then no one was around to protect them from the vampires and the humans died ergo Finn was never born. Ice King had a spell that made Ricardio so possibly? that same spell that was meant to ensnare Bubblegam actually worked in this universe and also transferred the madness Fionna's cellphone only receiving signal around magic (pending if its only around Crown magic) Winter King never flew because unlike Ice King, he doesnt have his beard wings The idea of at the very end, Simon is placing himself in the position of a Father again, which lends to the baby scene
What was that spell that created Ricardo and how could it transfer the madness onto PB, or rather why would Ice King want to give PB the madness. Was he just hurt by her rejection, but I thought he had gotten over Betty as he refers to her as the "dead one"
@@SACKBOY123432 Well, the original Crown was not programmed to chase after women so that part was entirely brought by Simon's love for Betty In the original Adventure Time episode, Ice King attempted to cast a spell to make PB fall in love with him, but it backfired and his heart was torn out of his chest. If the spell did work, PB would be madly in love with IK here's the theory: what if this spell (which has the capacity to remove IK's heart) could also remove the root of IK's sadness - his love for Betty I dont think Winter King is more sane, I think he's just less sad and he's less sad because the parts that loved Betty were surgically removed from him and given to PB to power her obsession with him In the process, Winter King no longer remembers Betty as his great love and he also isn't desperate for love the way IK was, which allows him to be more competent at literally everything
I'm so fascinated by Winter King Simon, he seemed at least slightly aware what he was doing was fucked up. The fact he had to lie he was "functional" because of "sheer force of will" or whatever means he KNEW that our Simon would be upset learning about the curse madness transfer. I'M SAD SIMON DIDN'T LEARN FARMWORLD FINN WORE THE CROWN!!!! That would have impacted him greatly I think, knowing an alternate universe Finn had to suffer the crown's curse.
I have to imagine we'll see Farm World Finn at least one more time. Like, he's the introduction to the Adventure Time Multiverse back in season 5, we ain't leaving him on "possibly dead but unclear" status.
I thought the will thing was true in a short time, which was the reason why he put the madness inside her, so that he wouldn't have it and be "free" of it.
Brian David Gilbert as The Winter King was a phenomonal and unexpected choice. Charming and theatrical, but also just the right amount of unhinged where you could tell something is not quite right. Just like his actual music videos on his own channel and his series of Unraveled videos back when he worked at Polygon. I also just love how and what Fionna and Cake does with it's new TV-14 rating, it's still unmistakably Adventure Time but it feels like a natural progression.
Yeah the moment Winter King opened his mouth, I immediately thought "holy crap is that Brian David Gilbert?" Had to skip to the credits real quick before watching the episode to check. It's surreal hearing him in something so high profile.
It was interesting seeing a dimention where the Simon was ice powered but still chill, and the Bubblegum was the crazy one. Also, I like that Cake is still learning to control her powers and Got most of her personality from Fionna. It just makes sense.
I freaking love the Winter King. He's just...the worst, but in a really fun way. He doesn't feel like overly evil despite what he did to Princess Bubblegum. Sure it's abolutely horrid, but also, wouldn't you do the same? If you survived the end of the world, gained immortality, AND got magic ice powers, you'd probably be determined to keep the benefits without any of the concequences. The Winter King is extremely selfish, and it makes him extremely human. Also, he's hot. That helps a lot.
No, I wouldn't I would rather suffer myself than place it on someone else, your morals seem a bit wonky but it's just a show so nothing serious, I partially agree though winter king is very fun
I mean, he still got Jake, and he got to live (or at least remember it) with two loving parents and also got a lil brother no other Finn seems to have, and now he also has kids even if his wife is gone, so I wouldn't say he got the short end of the stick. Also, is the current Finn even the one from Jake's wish? Prismo's loop did create two pairs of Finn and Jake, with one Jake becoming the new dreamer and a Finn becoming the Finn Sword and then Fern.
I didn't realize who the candy store person was until you mentioned it, but it's perfect in so many ways. In the original Fiona and Cake we actually got to see him, and he went by Lord Monochromicorn, and was a totally black, gray, and white version of Lady, explaining the goth aesthetic being chosen, and them not talking to Gary and Marshall might be referring to how Lord Monochromicorn only spoke with his hoofs, which I always interpreted as being a reference to sign language. So as a human they might speak with sign language! Loved your reaction and commentary
Something someone mentioned but if you remember the stakes story in Adventure Time, they used the hats to protect from vampire bites. The stab looked like vampire teeth, so MAYBE Daddy Finn survived the attack, we also did not see any blood so perhaps he lived.
Winter King was an a hole, but i can't help but to feel bad for the guy, he WAS A SIMON, he was an ICE KING He also lost little marcy as A CHILD and a thousand years later he still feels it
I was so excited when I realized Brian David Gilbert was the voice of the Winter King. He has so much range. The orginal music he uploads to youtube tends to skew toward existential, so this was definitely right up his alley.
Yeah, Ice Marceline was dark. Like, from every angle. Did the Winter King break the very ethical rule he recommended Simon not break by making a copy of a person? Did he magically alter the original Marceline? Who knows, but she melted, and everyone is sad. Also, if the Winter King did manage to give Simon a copy of his crown, would the Candy Queen have gotten a double dose of madness?
Most likely since the madness was removed from the crown, the copied crown would also have it's madness removed. That is probably why they cut this universe so short, since if Simon got his hands on a magical crown without madness there would be no reason for him not to wear it and Fionna's world would be saved
@@SACKBOY123432Well, you say it like Winter King didn't have his fair share of madness and being f**ked up. He just expressed it differently. At the very best, our Simon would become as unethical and Ice Kingy as Winter King. Don't forget, can't have magic without sadness or madness
I like how Fionna was like "Trust me, I've played a lot of post-apocalyptic RPGS, I know what I'm doing!" to Simon; an actual survivor of the mushroom war. And that's probably why her world has so many post-apocalyptic RPGs, they're Simon's memories from back then.
Oh nice catch! I hadn't even thought of that. It's absolutely crazy how much impact Simon has had on their world, even if Prismo created it one could almost say that it's Simon's creation in a way. Like the ship of Theseus that was referenced by him in episode 5 when they were talking about Huntress Wizard's perpetual soup
but also turning a nonmagical, but out of the mundane combat knife into a table knife, it's not just magical things, it's things not in keeping with her original world's mundanity.
@@DragonMaster4X don't worry I only noticed when someone pointed it out. When I watched the episode I just thought she had a different knife in her bag and grabbed the wrong one by accident, as a gag.
@@willowarkan2263OH FUCK that explains why they werent able to use the crown again, it hadnt just been stripped of the magic, it turned into just a regular human gold crown.
Just noticed that the awesome dagger Fionna took at the start turned into a kitchen knife at the end because she "normalized" it with her glitchy virus.
20:24 The ship of Theseus conundrum is whether or not it’s the same ship, there isn’t a definitive answer. It’s not about the ship, it’s about our perception of it. Every board is different by the end but you walk the same floors, you steer the same wheel you go up the same stairs. It’s different but it’s the same, everything stays but it still changes.
Winter King's Marceline definitely didn't die as a kid. Ice Marcy has the axe the Marceline got as teenager from Hudson (as seen in Stakes). Marceline probably saw what Winter King did to Bubblegum and stopped hanging around. So Winter King probably made an Ice Marcy relatively recent as it looks like Ice Marcy is not that experienced at axe guitar. On the plus side, if Marceline ever comes back to Ooo maybe they can make up.
There are four details that me and some friends caught in episode 6. 1st unlike Fionna and Cake, Simon doesn’t seem to be cold, mostly due to his time as Ice King. 2nd Fionna’s and Cake’s world starts snowing since Simon is an Ice Kingdom, close to a version of his crown 3rd despite Ice prince having removed his madness to Princess Bubblegum. He still has some of Ice King aspects. Forgetfulness and disregard people’s feeling or boundaries. 4rd the human Rainicorn that we see is based off of Monochromicorn. Also he doesn’t seem to speak since we saw the original one speaking only by hitting his hooves on the ground. The chocolate tasting out of this world probably because of rainicorns not being from the land of ooo.
I've read a couple of theories talking about Betty's wish - like, what if Fionna and Cake's anti-magic powers are an extention of that? Betty wished that Simon would never be harmed, so keeping him as far away from the curse is one way to fufill that wish. Since they were stuck in his head and their universe was clearly changed when he changed - does that mean their anti-magic is something Simon also has that he just "passed down" to them?
Ice Marcy has the Axe *Guitar*... I get a feeling Winter King and Marceline had a not so gentle disagreement about what he did to Bonniebel. Then he created a copy of a version of "better" Marceline who used to follow his every word without question.
Nice to know that Bill is with us on the selfcest. Candy Queen was great and the Wintionna kiss was offputting. Kinda sad he didn't notice Jay's binder though. LD & Jay is the second best romantic relationship in this series so far, though sadly its overshadowing means I haven't seen a lot of art yet. I've seen so many conflicting takes on this episode, I really feel like I'm not in an echo chamber right now! Confidence is boosting! Might cosplay. Cake is a mood. Lots of other thoughts I'm having trouble organizing.
When I was watching the episode I figured out something. _This reality problably has no Finn or even any humans at ALL._ Winter King says "You can get a ice Betty when we are done." and then turns it into a joke to save face. That implies what happened with Marcy, that Marcy problably died just like Betty. Simon made a replica of her out of sadness.. (The replica has Abadeer family Ax Hunson used to break in Marcy's shack when she was older and was left by Simon, but its still tuned into a guitar in the timeline somehow, which has more implications towards Simon and Hunsons involment with each other too.) And sadly if you really think about it there is just no one more important to humans and Betty's survival than Marcy. She saved humans from vampires and put so much care to Hambo that Simon used that to open a portal to Betty thus ironically saving her too. And without Two Bread Tom there is no founders island. And without a founders island there is no Finn.
Oh definitely, on the Marcy bit. In all honesty, Marceline is most likely regarded as one of the earliest, and most impactful heroes in the history of Ooo. Since she was around at the start of known history, and has been active in some way on Ooo for the majority of it. It's genuinely one of the most likely reasons that everyone, even the people who don't like her, seems to respect her. You don't disrespect the person whom literally made so you society survived, on their shear virtue of existing.
2:28 it's probably the last phone that existed before the war. Meaning simon wouldn't be able to have a smartphone in his brain, and only bricks like that
The person who voices winter king is Brian David Gilbert and he has some FANTASTICLY silly little songs here on RUclips, it would awsome to see a trying to stan of him
Now this is everything I could want from this series, although I can't decide which episode I liked more. Farmworld had so much to unpack with how life has changed since the last time we saw it, but I love how *beautiful* the Winter King episode was. And a Gunther fairy!!
i saw someone notice that when Gary was telling how a chocolate covered strawberry met a cupcake (which a lot of people are taking as a metaphor for Gary as the cupcake and Marshall Lee as the strawberry, that's cute), Gary starts describing the first episode of "Adventure Time"! its a really nice detail that really re-centers things around "oh yeah everyone has been having these dreams about Simon's world" and i love how Gary is processing his dreams to funnel into his cinematic baking world ♡ also the way i needed to pause and have a fucking mOMENT upon realizing Marshall Lee was willing to talk to this-world's-Hunson-Abadeer in order to get in contact with the Lemon Carbs (i fucking love that pun) becAUSE HE JUST WANTED TO HELP SUPPORT GARY?? gahhh, i love this world's Bubbline so much. its nice to see them have a healthy relationship without that history of toxicity and dictatorship and everything else. i like this, i love this i really hope that Fionna ends up realizing her world is lovely just the way it is. i think Gary and Marshall Lee are doing a fantastic job at selling to the audience how wonderful the world she already has is (tho i do want Cake to stay talking, i will admit one of my favorite movies is Kiki's Delivery Service so i will be heartbroken but understanding if Cake loses her ability to talk (and stretch) just like Jiji). because if they want me to root to make this world magic, having me fall for Gary and Marshall Lee just as they are was the wrong move to make. i LOVE them even more like this
I don't think it's as easy as "going back without magic", their universe in unauthorized and hidden inside the brain of an aging, mortal man's head. Not only that, the magic of winter King's crown could have transported to their universe along with the Hot Dog knight from episode 3. My prediction is that Simon will find the middle-ground that Winter King said he had but didn't, conquering the madness and becoming the Ice Prince of Fionna's dream or premonition? Depending on how you look at it. I don't think this series will end with the destruction of Fionna and Cake's universe, Simon might have to move on from Betty and accept that Marceline has her own life now with PB. Perhaps he gets to live inside of the world of Fionna and Cake by the end of the series
I read someone's comment saying that all of Farm World Finn's children were a version of our Finn's kids: Jay and Bonnie from Puhoy, Neptr (the one with goggles) and Stormo (reference to the sphinx that Bonnibell created to face Goliath")
It’s worth noting, the bass that ice-Marcy has is the bass she gets from her father when she is older. She did not have it yet at the age that Ice-Marcy is. Meaning that she’s either off somewhere else, was killed by winter king, or killed/candy-fied by candy queen like she was in the elemental miniseries.
I'm really hoping farm world Finn is alive too but will see, I can see the show trying to develop a bond between Fiona and Simone and maybe when they do find a crown she stops him or become very hesitant to let him go. Hoping to get more stories from Fiona world like Marshal and Gary.
@@thewerewolff7248I find that a bit hard to believe unless the Scarab was intentionally not trying to kill Finn. I get that it's a call back and if he died there would've been blood, but is the Scarab's legs not strong enough to pierce fabric or bone?
I'm not sure if someone already said it. But Fun fact: The soup Farmworld Finn's family was cooking for years is a real thing. Perpetual Soup, or Hunter's Stew, if i remembered right. So it could be a hint Finn got with a version of Huntress Wizard. ... it's also probably partially a form of coping mechanisn for Finn...
I absolutely like the fact that, yes, with 99% certainty, Fionna and Cake existing breaks the universes they encounter. Unlike Spider-Verse theres no chance of that not being the case. Hotdog guard got turned into a normal hotdog when Cake swiped it in episode 2. Now Fionna kissing zapped the magic out of Winter Kings crown. I would love it if the villain actually was right and this isnt something to be fixed in 5 minutes. Of course, Fionna and Cake will persevere, but I hope its not as simple as defeating the scarab and then Prismo or Prismos mysterious boss making everything okay. Oh, and may I mention the interesting fact that Winter King KNEW what they wanted a new crown for? Simon seems to have caught up on that as well considering his expression before Fionna interrupts them. That, and him being in her dream, well... I wouldnt be too shocked if we saw him again in some capacity.
A slight correction, Fionna grabbing the crown before it fell to the ground caused the magic to go away not the kiss. You see the Prismo particles when she catches the crown, it's right before they kiss. The magic could either have disappeared, or have swapped places with a similar object from their own universe. I think they are switching places but so far we haven't seen any magic hot dogs or crowns in their world, maybe that will come later. I also think the Ice Prince in Fionna's dream will return, Simon will try to conquer the madness like the Winter King said he had (although a lie, it might serve as inspiration) . Maybe it truly is possible for Simon and the crown to co-exist and he will move inside of the world of Fionna and Cake. Or that is a subliminal wish of Simon seeping into Fionna's dreams
The Winter Kingdom story Marcie didn’t die in the Mushroom wars, this world diverges from the main only 100 years ago. So before Finn was born but after Marcie becomes the Vampire Queen. What’s scary is that Ice Marcie has Marcie’s axe, an instrument Marcie got when she was older from her dad. Simon lost Marcie hundreds of years ago, I get him making an unethical baby Marcie, but at some point he encountered the real grown up loner Marcie post PB break up and somehow ended up with her 2nd most prizes possession (Hambo being 1st)
Something I hope they revisit in a bit more detail is that while Fionna and Cake are having fun on a magical adventure, they have very real stakes here, their world and everybody they love’s lives revolve around getting that sad old man the crown, and I wonder what will happen when they inevitably see the bad of the crown, because it’ll happen when they’ve already grown attached to Simon for sure, that conflict could be interesting, something of a personal trolly problem, because it’s not like they can just go “oh this is really bad for you we shouldn’t do this” because what about their universe? But then the conflict is “can we let this person we’ve grown to love die for the sake of our other loved ones”, Fionna has a stubborn enough personality that I think her ultimate conclusion is gonna be to force a new solution but who’s to say
The one thing I can’t get over is Winter King remembering his relationship with Betty differently to Simon and I wonder if they’ll go into what their relationship was actually like. I can’t remember much about her from AT but I do remember not liking her very much so I hope to be vindicated like Simon was here. lmao
To be Simon, is to Suffer. I knew something was up when we had suddenly ice Pearls everywhere and said "LAB". Simon you're an antiquarian. Also Ice Marcie is just so....freaking sad. The man literally made substitutes so he could live with the past.
If it makes you feel any better, I honestly think that farm world Finn is ok because of several factors: 1. In the Stakes miniseries, it was shown that the animal hats humans wore were designed to protect their heads and necks from things piercing through, such as vampire bites or in this case, Scarab’s spike limbs. And 2. We’ve already seen that this show is not shy about showing blood and gore so if Scarab did pierce though farm world Finn’s head, we definitely would’ve seen blood soak through his white hat and his body fall limp. And last I checked, that didn’t happen.
Magic Jake did eat a lot of chocolate and do dangerous adventures all the time so. Makes a lot of sense Farm World Jake is still around but ours is dead.
Winter King melting in Fionna's arms really drove the nail home for her that this Ice Prince she's been dreaming of *isn't real*. Oddly ironic that her entire existence is considered fake in the multiverse and yet she's searching for her own dreamed up version of Ice King/Prince.
4:50 now that you mention it. We've seen that he has a younger brother. He doesn't make an appearance here but I wonder where's he now and how's he doing.
Hi Bill! The Winter Kings beautiful voice belongs to Brian David Gilbert. He is a song writer and has a music channel on RUclips. I’d love to see a Trying To Stan: BDG sometime. His music videos are very fun as well.
Simon saying "we're going to meet the me of this universe" kinda checks out if you think how farmworld Finn is still not over the crown thing and is still grieving his dead wife :')
17:15 I think there was more to this reversal of candy queen being obsessed with winter king as originally ice king was crazy for PB, throughout the spell I think candy queen is subconsciously aware it was this simon’s fault and was doing everything in her power to get back to him, “connect” in this case, to stop the spell. So in a horrific irony like with our Simon and farm world Finn, this worlds PB is buried under the madness aware of it all and was powerless unless something happens to the crown like the spell breaking or the crown taken off
I think Simon couldn’t save Marcy when they were with each other during the aftermath of the Mushroom War, hence the deep scar enabled him to get free of the crowns madness(as the ice king, not the Winter Prince) and project it into Princess Bubblegum. Which is why theres an Ice Marcy, but Winter Prince didnt want to make an Ice Betty because when Winter Prince projected the crowns madness into Candy Queen, he also lost the ability to care for Betty, this world could still have a Betty but who knows… maybe Simon contacting Betty and her going into that future caused infinite worlds to be born and this one is a example of where: Marcy couldn’t be saved…
I absolutely love your takes for these latest episodes about Simon and Fionna. Every time I finish the episodes I get quite excited to see your videos!! Also you should check out Brian David Gilbert (the voice of the winter king) if you liked the singing voice of the winter king! He's a RUclipsr who does really fun and weird songs and sketches. They may not be entirely your vibe but still fun to check out potentially
I looooved these episodes I am so intrigued by where the show will go with Fionna and Cake removing magic from things they touch and Simon still trying to find a way to be Ice King the "right way" when so far we only see how it will lead to hurting people. ALSO!!! Finns son Jay, when he rips of his shirt for LD to stab him has a chest binder on! I didn't notice it on my first watch but after people pointing it out to me and I love it. Trans boy Jay :)
Bill your videos are always some of my favourites :)) I kept checking youtube hoping to see your upload today because they’re always so comforting and fun!! Really appreciate the extra effort to include resources for those who are struggling and may need them, and the introspection you provide is always so nice and helps broaden my horizons a little more :)) Keep on being your rad funny self 🫡🫡
I woke up from a nap gasping with one thought in my mind. Mr The Third Bill is uploading a Fionna and Cake Video today. And I rushed over as soon as I good. Great Content as always. I have a theory in regards to Ice Marcy. I think Real Marcy is probably fine, just ran off to avoid dealing with the Winter King and how he janked up PB's Brain. Think about it. Ice Marcy was playing with Marcy's Bass Ax, which was a family heirloom that Marceline turned into a Bass guitar after meeting her Bio Dad for the first time after Simon abandoned her cuz he was becoming the Ice King. We know Winter King did become teh Ice King for a while there, it's shown in the song, before transferring the Madness over to PB. So my theory is that 100 years ago, Winter King transfered the magic, came to Marceline Triumphant, and she flipped her shit and they got into an argument about it. Now this part can go 2 ways, either he killed her in a fit of rage, or she just bounced and left her guitar behind somewhere. I'm choosing the second one for my leetol heart. Either way, Winter King took teh guitar and in his grief made Ice Marcy to replace Marceline, and likely reset her to when she believed in and trusted him the most, Baby Marcy. Also Winter King was voiced by Brian David Gilbert, like he could get any hotter.
Oh im about 85% sure Winter King killed his Marcy. Its the only way I can think of why he has the bass but made a kid ice Marcy and not grown ice Marcy. He wanted the Marcy who needed him to protect her and thought he was the coolest guy in the world. Not the one who probably rebeled against him for hurting someone she cared about.
This show is such a banger I love it so much. Still recovering from Candy Queen’s song. Also the tension between Gary and Marshall Holy, JUST KISS ALREADY
Also the detail of it snowing in fionna's world when Simon gets to Winter Kings world, since Fionnas world is literally in Simon's head and it hinting that his surrounding might actually be affecting the world in his head is interesting.
I just realized when you talked about the songs being "fire and ice," I wonder if it's a twisted shout out to the Miser Brothers and their respective ice and fire songs. And I guess if one of them wanted to marry the other... forget it, lol
I don't know i just feel like you would love to listen to derivakat, she is an amazing artist! If you do listen to her please listen both to her 'tales of the dsmp' album and her newer songs that are part of her next album. I think that the new album might be called anger.
I find it interesting how the series, just like Steven Universe Future, tries to recontextualize the action of the original series. In an adventure show, it's normal for monsters to be defeated and killed. But here, it always felt wrong to me. Finn seems almost like a psychopath, killing creatures without thinking, while Fiona thinks about it and wonders if it is always a good thing.
"I've played a lot of post-apocalyptic RPGs" she says, to the guy who literally experienced the plot of The Last of Us firsthand.
i love how Simon doesn't say anything, just silently thinking "i hate children"

@@Marzipanilla well In farmworld, magic technically exists there since in that universe, there was a magic crown that both Simon and finn used, as for cake, she is still new with her powers, so naturally she wouldn't have good control...plus, not sure if cake is a magic cat, since we know Jake is half alien which explains his stretching powers, so that might apply to cake as well now...
I like the fact that Cake's personality is entirely based on her time with Fionna, and not just a brand new personality that was just installed in her or something.
Truly has the vibe of "Cat that learned to talk 48 hours ago"
I know ! I really like her !!!
I love the slight horror to episode 6. Like something was amiss, and it was so satisfying seeing that Simon was lying about his madness.
I knew something was off about him too, and the twist was more interesting than I hoped for.
@@AlfredEiji My brain basket will never be the same
i wonder how he did it though... he still wouldve had to have some kind of realization that the crown was hurting him in order to do that in the first place
could have gotten a decent distance form it enough to make a plan, cos we know the curse has a radius of sorts@@vio7336
Not just normal, normal relative to the Fionna universe
Because magic still doesn't really exist in farm world
Same as the crown when she kissed Winter King. It had nothing to do with the kiss but with her returning it back to normal.
This makes me scared of cake potentially being turned back into a normal cat, she used to have the power too (hotdog guy) but obviously now shes infused with magic
Marcy problaby died of cold. Remember the episode where Simon tried his hardest to find soup? This version of her looks just around that age.
Winter King also suggests creating an ice Betty, implying that he's already done that himself with Marceline. But also he referred to his Betty as "that Betty" which might be more evidence that he also made an ice Betty
@@Boopadee he also knows about the existence of the multiverse
@@Ivan8 He is extremely intelligent, id say even more advanced than bubblegum in the original AT timeline
Finn's children share the name of the children in Puhoy
The remnants of the Crown was where the Crown got nuked after Farmworld Lich was released
The Crown is capable of capturing gods because it was built to capture the Lich. Not on GOLB level tho.
If Marcy died after she got her axe, but before she could meet the humans, then no one was around to protect them from the vampires and the humans died ergo Finn was never born.
Ice King had a spell that made Ricardio so possibly? that same spell that was meant to ensnare Bubblegam actually worked in this universe and also transferred the madness
Fionna's cellphone only receiving signal around magic (pending if its only around Crown magic)
Winter King never flew because unlike Ice King, he doesnt have his beard wings
The idea of at the very end, Simon is placing himself in the position of a Father again, which lends to the baby scene
well its also helps that fionas universe is so close to fionas phone, bc theyre right there, 5 meters apart and lightyears away at the same time
well its also helps that fionas universe is so close to fionas phone, bc theyre right there, 5 meters apart and lightyears away at the same time
I was WONDERING who the mother was supposed to be!
What was that spell that created Ricardo and how could it transfer the madness onto PB, or rather why would Ice King want to give PB the madness. Was he just hurt by her rejection, but I thought he had gotten over Betty as he refers to her as the "dead one"
@@SACKBOY123432 Well, the original Crown was not programmed to chase after women so that part was entirely brought by Simon's love for Betty
In the original Adventure Time episode, Ice King attempted to cast a spell to make PB fall in love with him, but it backfired and his heart was torn out of his chest. If the spell did work, PB would be madly in love with IK
here's the theory: what if this spell (which has the capacity to remove IK's heart) could also remove the root of IK's sadness - his love for Betty
I dont think Winter King is more sane, I think he's just less sad and he's less sad because the parts that loved Betty were surgically removed from him and given to PB to power her obsession with him
In the process, Winter King no longer remembers Betty as his great love and he also isn't desperate for love the way IK was, which allows him to be more competent at literally everything

Holy shit, how have I not realized it was him? You're right, though, charming and unhinged is exactly how I'd describe BDG.
Yeah the moment Winter King opened his mouth, I immediately thought "holy crap is that Brian David Gilbert?" Had to skip to the credits real quick before watching the episode to check. It's surreal hearing him in something so high profile.
I knew I loved Winter King.
I HECKIN KNEW IT WAS HIM!!!!!!!! I WAS DESPERATELY TRYING TO FIND THE CREDITS BUT COULDN'T BUT I KNEW IT WAS HIS VOICE!!!
It was interesting seeing a dimention where the Simon was ice powered but still chill, and the Bubblegum was the crazy one. Also, I like that Cake is still learning to control her powers and Got most of her personality from Fionna. It just makes sense.
Agreed
I never realized how much I needed the Candy King until now.
Couldn’t the winter king have gave his insanity to someone else? It kinda stumps me
@@tendyboys8344 I think it had to also be to someone else immortal, prob if whoever he gives it to dies, he has to take it back on
@@satoshimori5130that would make a lot of sense
Well of course he is it's Brian David Gilbert
No, I wouldn't I would rather suffer myself than place it on someone else, your morals seem a bit wonky but it's just a show so nothing serious, I partially agree though winter king is very fun
Unfriendly reminder that Farmworld Finn is the Finn we followed from episode 1 until he made the wish, with the version in OOO was made by Jake's wish
Loved your reaction and commentary
or Lord Monochromicorn might have been speaking mhorse code 🤣
@@XxMusicxKelseyxX that is art, thank you.
Something someone mentioned but if you remember the stakes story in Adventure Time, they used the hats to protect from vampire bites. The stab looked like vampire teeth, so MAYBE Daddy Finn survived the attack, we also did not see any blood so perhaps he lived.
Winter King was an a hole, but i can't help but to feel bad for the guy, he WAS A SIMON, he was an ICE KING
He also lost little marcy as A CHILD and a thousand years later he still feels it
I was so excited when I realized Brian David Gilbert was the voice of the Winter King.
That’s a really awesome detail lol. Excellent catch
Cake unmagicing that hot dog and now Fiona unmagicing of The Winter King. Seems like a pattern.
Prismo did warn them that Fionna and Cake’s existence can have very unpredictable effects on other realities
but also turning a nonmagical, but out of the mundane combat knife into a table knife, it's not just magical things, it's things not in keeping with her original world's mundanity.
@@willowarkan2263 Oh yeah that’s right! That bit went over my head. Very interesting.
I vibe so much with how this series explores depression and (in a way) addiction through the magic of the crown
The moment Winter King said he cured himself by pure force of will, I was like "oh no".
I love the Candy Queen so so so much!
And the Winter King being voiced by Brian David Gilbert is so fantasic
20:24 The ship of Theseus conundrum is whether or not it’s the same ship, there isn’t a definitive answer. It’s not about the ship, it’s about our perception of it. Every board is different by the end but you walk the same floors, you steer the same wheel you go up the same stairs. It’s different but it’s the same, everything stays but it still changes.
If you noticed, the 2 named kids were basically the same name as Finn’s pillow world kids.
2nd Fionna’s and Cake’s world starts snowing since Simon is an Ice Kingdom, close to a version of his crown
3rd despite Ice prince having removed his madness to Princess Bubblegum.
It’s called GumLee and it’s perfect.
Interesting. I wonder if Prismo's teleportation or change of garments will bite him back in the ass
_This reality problably has no Finn or even any humans at ALL._
Winter King says "You can get a ice Betty when we are done." and then turns it into a joke to save face.

And a Gunther fairy!!
i saw someone notice that when Gary was telling how a chocolate covered strawberry met a cupcake (which a lot of people are taking as a metaphor for Gary as the cupcake and Marshall Lee as the strawberry, that's cute), Gary starts describing the first episode of "Adventure Time"! its a really nice detail that really re-centers things around "oh yeah everyone has been having these dreams about Simon's world" and i love how Gary is processing his dreams to funnel into his cinematic baking world ♡
also the way i needed to pause and have a fucking mOMENT upon realizing Marshall Lee was willing to talk to this-world's-Hunson-Abadeer in order to get in contact with the Lemon Carbs (i fucking love that pun) becAUSE HE JUST WANTED TO HELP SUPPORT GARY?? gahhh, i love this world's Bubbline so much. its nice to see them have a healthy relationship without that history of toxicity and dictatorship and everything else. i like this, i love this
i really hope that Fionna ends up realizing her world is lovely just the way it is. i think Gary and Marshall Lee are doing a fantastic job at selling to the audience how wonderful the world she already has is (tho i do want Cake to stay talking, i will admit one of my favorite movies is Kiki's Delivery Service so i will be heartbroken but understanding if Cake loses her ability to talk (and stretch) just like Jiji). because if they want me to root to make this world magic, having me fall for Gary and Marshall Lee just as they are was the wrong move to make. i LOVE them even more like this
I don't think it's as easy as "going back without magic", their universe in unauthorized and hidden inside the brain of an aging, mortal man's head.
At seeing this I have to think... were Pearl's just intelligent Bannana Gaurds?
It’s worth noting, the bass that ice-Marcy has is the bass she gets from her father when she is older. She did not have it yet at the age that Ice-Marcy is. Meaning that she’s either off somewhere else, was killed by winter king, or killed/candy-fied by candy queen like she was in the elemental miniseries.
BDG never misses, and he KILLED it as The Winter King
Love that he keeps calling farm world Finn "Daddy Finn" lol 😳
Here's a fun reference gary said that cupcakes and strawberry meet at a slumber party in a zombie apocalypse that the first episode of adventure time.
I'm really hoping farm world Finn is alive too but will see, I can see the show trying to develop a bond between Fiona and Simone and maybe when they do find a crown she stops him or become very hesitant to let him go. Hoping to get more stories from Fiona world like Marshal and Gary.
The general consensus is that his hat protected him in the same way the hats protected the humans from vampire bites in the stakes flashbacks
Fionna also turned the knife into a kitchen knife
I kinda like this version of Princess Bonnibel where she has full mastery over her powers as the current incarnation of the candy elemental.
Bill thirsting after Scarab at every possible moment pLS I'M WHEEZING
I can’t remember much about her from AT but I do remember not liking her very much so I hope to be vindicated like Simon was here. lmao
I'm not really feeling like myself today... 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
To be Simon, is to Suffer. I knew something was up when we had suddenly ice Pearls everywhere and said "LAB". Simon you're an antiquarian. Also Ice Marcie is just so....freaking sad. The man literally made substitutes so he could live with the past.
If it makes you feel any better, I honestly think that farm world Finn is ok because of several factors:
Isn't a bit absurd for the Scarab's limbs to be that weak? I also don't think Finn died but wow, a celestial entity can't pierce fabric

"It's a cinematic universe, bro!"
Would it be a... culinomatic universe?
Now I need to see you watch other BDG (Brian David Gilbert, voice of the winter king) songs
So in a horrific irony like with our Simon and farm world Finn, this worlds PB is buried under the madness aware of it all and was powerless unless something happens to the crown like the spell breaking or the crown taken off
I did not notice baby lich

There’s a very low chance you’ll see this comment but winter king is played by Brian David Gilbert and he does some music and fun videos on RUclips!!!
RIP Ice Marcy 😔😔😔
I looooved these episodes I am so intrigued by where the show will go with Fionna and Cake removing magic from things they touch and Simon still trying to find a way to be Ice King the "right way" when so far we only see how it will lead to hurting people.
ALSO!!! Finns son Jay, when he rips of his shirt for LD to stab him has a chest binder on! I didn't notice it on my first watch but after people pointing it out to me and I love it. Trans boy Jay :)
CQ: "I put you into a Blender with me"
Simon: "what a nice metaphor"
CQ: "not a metaphor"
😅
I cant believe brian david glibert is in this show man
This show is such a banger I love it so much. Still recovering from Candy Queen’s song.
Also the tension between Gary and Marshall Holy, JUST KISS ALREADY
Candy goth is Lord Monochromicorn.
Also the detail of it snowing in fionna's world when Simon gets to Winter Kings world, since Fionnas world is literally in Simon's head and it hinting that his surrounding might actually be affecting the world in his head is interesting.
That NOOOOOOOO was one of the most legit no's I've ever heard! XD
I feel your pain >< Ice Marcy shoulda lived!!!
I just realized when you talked about the songs being "fire and ice," I wonder if it's a twisted shout out to the Miser Brothers and their respective ice and fire songs. And I guess if one of them wanted to marry the other... forget it, lol
J and Bonnie are the name of fins kids in pillow world
Candy Supply Guy is Lord Monichromicorn to be precise
26:14 Are we just going to ignore the Bmo baby monitor?
I don't know i just feel like you would love to listen to derivakat, she is an amazing artist!
If you do listen to her please listen both to her 'tales of the dsmp' album and her newer songs that are part of her next album. I think that the new album might be called anger.
my immediate thought was also 'oh its farmworld finns little sibling!' before discovering it was his son
Great reaction! These 2 episodes were so fun!
Great video! And good eye on the candy store merchant! But she isn't Lady Rainicorn, he's Lord Monochromicorn! ✌😊
its a nice touch that Finns has a Jay and a Bonnie, the same names as their sons in the pillow world
