I love the simplicity of this stitch. A perfect one for gaining confidence as a beginner & it's beautiful how much the final product resembles knitting. I also appreciate that you go very slowly & explicitly show which stitch you go in & whether you go in the front loop, the rear loop or both loops. It's details like that which reduce frustration & increase success & enjoyment when learning a new pattern! If i had one request, it would be that you add the hook size in the video description. I don't have fancy, modern hooks with the color-coded plastic handles. I have my mother's old, metal hooks that are labeled with letters & I can't tell which of them corresponds with these plastic-handled hooks like yours.

You made me very happy🥰 Thank you very much for your really nice words. My hook size is 3mm. You can choose hooks according to the thickness of your rope. 🙏🥰

Pot holders, dish cloths, mug and bowl cozies too, even glass and can cozies to keep your hands or kids hands from getting to cold or wet from condensation in the summer. I even use this pattern to put inside my pots to stack my non stick pots to prevent scratching.

In the US, that stitch is a half double crochet: Yarn over, go through the stitch, pull up a loop and then go through all three loops on the hook. You can go through just the back loop, as you are doing, but in the US in would be more common to go through both of the top loops and create a flatter piece. Back loop only will pull half of the top of the stitch onto the front. Not right or wrong, just whatever look you are going for. It is best to make a gauge square using the crochet hook size the yarn recommends to see if that works for you and then adjust up or down if too loose or tight. Nice work!

This is the half double crochet. It's a basic stitch that most people learn right away. Single/Straight crochet, double crochet/stitch, half double crochet/stitch. I learned these as basic stitches. Most learn these basic stitches first.

Your videos are wonderful. I appreciate you doing them, however, if you put an image of the completed sample in the thumbnail, I am certain you would get more interest and subscriptions.
With all the other crochet channels showing their work it allows people to decide if they want to watch or not. Without seeing a final product, it makes it difficult to watch when I am looking for something specific.
I say this to help you gain the popularity you deserve, not as a complaint.
Best to you in all you do.
