You should take a rosebud and heat relief the opposite frame rail where the rear crossmembers are welded. If not it still has a spring twist built into it.
The car and frames over 90 years old you don,t know or can imagine the roads or wrecks shes been on or in so the frames of any old car truck will most likely be bent hell this is 2024 have you drove pn or seen our roads today in the lower 50 hey i know they,re sorry as hell thats a great fix now hes not building a 50,000..00 car hes building a BadChad ride great video Sweet Jolene Nate Doug Fina
Jolene can you tell Chad he needs to cut the cross bracing to reset the chassis rails. Once the rails are true and square he can reweld the cross bracing.
I wonder if you could use a steel wedge in the relief cut to open it and the back would come down? If you didnt have anyone to stand on the frame. At any rate, great fix and follow up from the other video, 😊
Maybe they could have cut the 2 centre braces on the rear and see where the chassis rails want to go. I’m sure they are going flex back to where they want to be and then repair them.
@@hahahaha5663 I've straightened frames for 30 years and know Chad has no idea whether that front frame rail needed to be lowered. The other rail may have needed raised. The same on the back rails. It probably makes no difference since the floor he's replacing doesn't come close to those areas he changed.
Cutting the frame to try and get the twist out, is not a good idea. Putting some heat on a few different frame spots would work better, without weakening the frame by cutting and welding the frame.
I know that nobody likes sugestions but if you cut a slit on the other frame rail you could squeze it shut instead of prying open the other one to get them the same
you need around 3 seperate relief cuts . youre using one then trying to bend the warp out of it..thats not going to happen ,its a fact sorry. cut few more then watch frame settle then start weldibng
It's under pressure. Weld it and release from the table and it will spring up again. Btw that is why the two sections went out of alignment. That alone should have alerted you!
Normally I would just say even if this project gets finished it's not like it will ever be driven... But if they are really going to have Jolene race this I think it should be a better, straighter, stronger frame to protect her even if it's not raced that fast. Just my thoughts and my "belly button" tho.
BAD CHAD! YOU DON'T HAVE TO TRY SO HARD TO GET YOUR WORDS ACROSS! I KNOW!, AND EVERYBODY KNOWS, THAT YOU ARE THE MAN! , SO LIGHTEN UP!! MAN - WE ALL TRY TO BE APART OF YOUR CREATIONS!, SAY! KNOW YOU DON'T WANT TO SHARE YOUR CREATIONS, BUT WE CAN'T HELP IT! SOMETIMES WE GET CAUGHT UP IN OTHERS PEOPLE DREAMS! , SO KEEP ON SAYING, WHAT HAVE SAY , BECAUSE WE ARE LISTING! JUST KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK 👍
Yes that’s what I was thinking from the get go, simply because it seems like an easy and basic frame style to replicate using basic measurements, probably would have been done or close to it if they did use new box section and saved on labour at the same time, so yes I agree bro , but ya know how it goes when one is set in one’s way , looking forward to the end result though ✌️😎👍
I think what they guy is trying to say when you don't know what your doing is the frame you have is flat may not be level therefore you cannot use a level but measure off your bed for reference points,i build scaffolds on large dredges and they don't sit leve so we measure off eveything to make it flat and level with machine.anyways you will still get there your way.
People are talking alot about frame twist and spring back. Will it matter that much since most of Chad's cars are not driven much at all. If anything this one might see the track and at least this car will have spring travel.
Not sure where all the negative comments come from, Yes they have RUclips and its support their habit. You too could have a you tube channel and show your work. Most of the nay sayer have never built anything, I am sure. There is a difference between a seam style show car, that never drives and get trailered around, and a hot rod cars and coffee build.
Not sure where your negative comments come from. I hear people who know what they are talking about in addressing actual problems and writing comments which btw that are asked for. It has nothing to do with whose RUclips channel it is it is about intelligent interaction. To be intelligent one has to know. Many do.
@@petermoore2574 you made my point, you heard people who know, but you don’t so shut up, change channels, do what ever you want. Stop watching a guy sharing and spending your time complaining. It’s fair to give advice as to your way of doing things, but if he doesn’t take it , ok.
you should have cut all of the cross bars out to start when you found it twisted and put it on the table and made new cross pieces. That would have made sure it was correct the first time.
Jolene if you weld the front down and put a label on it don't you think it. Will be straight but the back goes up now know weld the back down unweld the front watch the front go up now tell me what's wrong it's one of the bases doing maybe cha cross bars are doing it you put that rear end back it's going be unsafe cut the frame down the middle both side will lay flat go from there put it back to get her with a lavel,,,,,,,a lavel it helps a lot
You don't need to explain yourself to the keyboard engineers, you do you and let them whine and criticise as much as they like, "Those who can do, those who can't just whine and gripe".
Fuck another Opinion Police Officer, you realise that Chad himself asks for a comment be it good or bad at times, and that has been said from himself on many occasion , he and others including myself know it as being honest and that is all it is
It gets views and views = dollars and that’s pretty much what both Chanel’s are for 🤷♂️when the views drop they move onto another project without finishing the one there on
Chad has absolutely NO idea what hes doing its like watching a first year apprentice start out then jolenes close ups of his intricate gap welding as if he is some Master fabricator Down really is Up in this strange world ?
I feel so sorry for Nate.
Me too
You should take a rosebud and heat relief the opposite frame rail where the rear crossmembers are welded. If not it still has a spring twist built into it.
Maybe you should consider the amount of springback that could occur, just a thought
you will notice that doug and nate are not getting involved in what is going on here right now.
Coming along really good Team Hiltz soon it will be time for the rear end to be installed! Thank you Jolene for all the excellent work that you do!
I had a car once with a chassis made of 967 small plates. Can't remember which scrap yard it went to
The feng shui in the shop has improved dramatically

Another entertaining video! Thanks again for sharing!
Thank God Jolene can fix their welds..
Gettin Framed…great work team Hiltz
Thanks for the bonus episode 😎👍
❤🐕❤ Sure do love and adore ❤Fina❤ and I’ve never met her but see her daily and sure enjoy seeing her. My fur babies are my world.
The frame he keeps welding to looks like a frame rack back in the day called a DOZER. Its missing a lot of parts but could still be functional.
Fantastic great work Seth
Jolene can you tell Chad he needs to cut the cross bracing to reset the chassis rails. Once the rails are true and square he can reweld the cross bracing.
True story
Same on both Chanel’s - nothing like trying to milk RUclips for those $$

great camera work Jolene and the rest of the TEAM #1
Just a question how do you know that's the side that is twisted and not the other side the maybe twisted down
Exactly, the same thing on the front rail. He really has no idea without a true starting point.
Maybe they could have cut the 2 centre braces on the rear and see where the chassis rails want to go. I’m sure they are going flex back to where they want to be and then repair them.
I see a lot of RUclips people get things mailed to them to use. Get your facts straight

Blah blah blah…..just all talk from the “keyboard frame builders”😂😂
Thanks Chad ,Jolene , Nate and Doug the frame straitening is coming along nicely.
Cutting the frame to try and get the twist out, is not a good idea. Putting some heat on a few different frame spots would work better, without weakening the frame by cutting and welding the frame.
Yes, but here’s the shocker: Chad doesn’t own a torch. How in the hell can you work with metal without a torch?
He tacked it under pressure. My guess is it springs back when he releases it. just a guess.
It's no different to cutting corrosion out and welding in new steel.
I know that nobody likes sugestions but if you cut a slit on the other frame rail you could squeze it shut instead of prying open the other one to get them the same

I'd like to make a comment, but I don't know anything about doing this type of work. Soooo, I won't 😮
This frame is so damn nice great work. I use to fix the bent motorcyle frames from Evil kenivel and you guys are doing it perfect.
for a start , you dont hold down a bent frame , you bend the frame until right , then hold down and weld.
It's under pressure. Weld it and release from the table and it will spring up again. Btw that is why the two sections went out of alignment. That alone should have alerted you!

Very find show....Thanks 😊
are you going to re check it with level since you are welding it back together
Give those Volvos one to Nate and one to Doug they would love them
Tell me what he has ever given anybody.
Give? Cor blimey ! 😲

@@mattnelson5322 My mistake. A $10 paint gun and 2 sh** boxes.
Hopefully it stays after you weld it, Ive seen welds pull it it back as it shrinks.
The chop on the body looks real good
If I bring my flathead ford by could Nate set the points for me ?
What a freakin mess. Good thing its just artwork. Nothing is ever wrong with art. I was surprised to see him using a level.
ENGULFED IN FLAMES!!! start over.
Just by tack welding a frame to a jig does not straighten it, you should know. I used turnbuckles and straps on mine and got it straight.

Back at ya, this extra little video is awesome, now we don’t have to wait till tomorrow to see what happened. Thanks Jolene.
Its gonna spring back up. You didn't relieve it quite enough.
I guess since Chads building a hotrod, its just that. Hand built. Strength not certain. But who cares. Its his
Awesome 👍
Good to see Chad on the level😁
Awesome, Thanks
Wow this is really out of control to most. Time to start fresh with a set of frame rails make from rectangle tube. Chasing your tail makes no sense

Going to jump like a rubber band when its cut loose.
Yeah get its flex on

this correction may throw the c-notch off a little side to side. should be fine, not affect alignment.
You need a frame binh so you don't have to cut it
Team Hiltz good job . I think because of the heat wave the haters are out. Don’t listen.
Why are u dividing the show on 2 separate channels. Cold hav e showed the whole thing on bad Chad channel Very strange. What’s the reason.
They're going down the tube. Google Bad Chad Stats.

he has zero clue
Problem. Solved. Good. Eye. ❤❤❤❤❤❤

You should really let Nate do the welding
How about starting over with new material.
Probably should have cut behind that control at hole mount! Now you moved it slightly!
The frame will be fine for a flat head engine , top speed 60 mph ish
Didnt chad say it doesnt have to be level or square because its a hotrod????? 😂😂😂
it will still be off
jolene just concede his a twit .
things must be going bad , if your now creating a channel
