As a black American I couldn’t be more proud to be of African heritage! I traced my lineage to Burkina Faso have been traveling back to Africa ever since! I loved Ghana and Nigeria and felt very welcomed! Shout out to Ghana!

is there some sort of rules that prevent foreign tv channels to show beautiful places in Africa???, damn, u come to the continent and do whatever u like. This is a good documentary and showing how far Ghana has come after slavery and the life of AA and yet most of the videos are not showing any of the many beautiful places of Ghana.
Yes there is, it's call racist, because for them disrespect wouldn't allow it, so the can keep on believe they are superior race by putting others down.
The problem with so many people returning is they mainly reside in one of 2 cities - in this case Accra. You need to convince natives to accept strangers - you end up creating inflation with people having Euros,$,£ to spend whilst many others survive on weak currency.
Ghana where when you speak your indigenous mother tongue language the locals laugh at you and say you are backwards, uncivilized and village boy. But when you speak English In Ghana like you are educated in Oxford you get applauds from the locals and you move up the social hierarchy quickly.
why didn't you type in your local language. No one is stopping anyone from speaking their local language. Do you go to the market and tell the market woman to speak English ?

We are not interested in home coming ceremonies, we are primarily interested in FULL Citizenship (To include voting rights and competing for political office). Then and ONLY then could we say that we are, at long last, "welcome home". To move to an African county and not be granted equal citizenship is both an insult and foolish, for one can only pay taxes and be financially exploited by the Govt of that nation. The twisted Irony is that African immigrants can move to the U.S (for a better life) and obtain Full citizenship in a relatively short period of time, meanwhile, there are African Americans whom have lived in Ghana for more than 30-40 years and have not been granted "full" citizenship. These people have contributed to that country in ways that native born Ghanaians who left for western nation would never consider. This needs to change.
While it might be true many lived there for many years without citizenship, they really could do almost everything local Ghanaians did except voting. Many Ghanaians apparently don’t vote! The Ghana government is working on streamlining citizenship for the diasporans but I understand Covid and economic conditions derailed the bill in parliament. Let’s hope the next government of Ghana picks up from wherever the bill was left off.

Returning? They not from ghana. Most of the came from Nigeria or where already in America
Yes, they need to de centralise Accra, but that needs heavy investment into the infrastructure of other regions which has been quite lacking.
