The 2016 addition of the annual Bay Area House Dance Festival, featured a performance and club night to kick off the weekend activities. The performances were curated to represent different places and times of American Club Culture Dance styles.
LaTasha Barnes show cases a lovely mashup of dance styles stemming from many time periods of American Club culture. Her performance sets a foundation in what would be consider American Vernacular Jazz dance while sprinkling the likes of hip hop, house and other "local" club dances. A power house performance.
