Got home with the 12V Hercules, watched your video, got in to the car and went back to HP and paid the extra $10 for the 20V Hercules compact. All my batteries and charger is Hercules, so there is that. I now run 5 cordless Hercules tools, love each one.
I got the Bauer 20V brushless version 2:20 free yesterday (it was free with purchase of a 3 AH battery for $59). You have to get it In-Store. Deal not available online. The 20V Brushless is my first reciprocating saw. It Runs strong with the 3 Ah 20V battery.
As a Harbor Freight Fanboy, I still need my M12 Fuel stuff cuz the Herc 12v line just isn’t there yet. Most tools in the 20v brushless line are super solid now, except no mid-torque yet, but the 12v needs to improve quite a bit still to be closer to on par with red and yellow.
Unfortunately, it stopped working! I haven’t had a chance to investigate the cause but it will cut out randomly when using it. Even when I just hold the trigger down while not cutting anything.

On the fence about jumping into 12v herc vs dewalt.
Dewalt seems like the way to go, at least right now. Hercules is cheaper, but they only offer a few 12 volt tools.

That stroke length is not that great
Milwaukee M12 and Bosch 12v only has 1/2” stroke length. So atleast this one has an extra 1/8th inch to it
