"I don't have any thoughts of my own. I have kids." Died laughing.
What you're hearing is traditional Mongolian throat singing. He is basically, to my understanding, vibrating his vocals cords while singing harmonically over it.
I am so happy for world culture week! This band deserves all the love and praise they get. The only negative is I was speaking with someone from Mongolia when I saw these guys in concert and they said that because of their explosive popularity they actually had very few opportunities to see them in Mongolia because it was like two years worth of touring. Obviously covid changed all that and I suppose it is a good problem to have but I just want these guys to be shared everywhere with everyone.
Also.... I have no musical talent..... makes me want to try and learn the mouth harp

@@OldSkuleNerd You have lack of knowledge on history or you did say that on purpose.
First of all he was called Chingiss khan not Gengiss khan and he did not kill everyone on his way without thinking nothing or reason that is fact.
Second, Mongolian empire under Chingiss khan was allowing every nation and country freedom of religion who did not resist them and united them peacefully.
Last, yes there was violence during Mongolian empire. But remember how much respect and freedom those countries received from Chingiss khan who peacefully united with them. I recommend you to study history from other resources about others history.
I studied in America for years and I learned a lot and I always appreciate it. However i did not like how American schools (education system) change others history on purpose and teach it to it’s people and others from all over the world.

For this song they were indeed singing about battle or defending their home lands.
In other songs they mention Chinggis Khan and the mongol empire.

All the singers here use a lot of throat singing techniques, very common in all corners of Asia. Also you'll notice a lot of vocal fry. What makes the lead singer interesting is that he is playing with some overtones as well, he has is base tone but with his abilities and just physical make up he also has a higher tone coming out on top of that base tone, giving you that didgeridoo sound.

The hu means Something Like human If you translate it. The singing ist called mongolian throat singing and the Band consist of actually 4 or 5 ppl. All the Biker guys in the Background are from a real Biker Gang.
The hu often sings about culture realated things. The try to keep Thier History alive.
They had a colab with EA and Made a Song für the latest Star wars Game. You realy should Check this Song

you should realy listen this with subtitles:
If lions come, we'll fight until the end
If tigers come, we'll fight and battle
If elephants come, we'll fight in rage
If humans come, we'll fight and obliterate

We, if lions come, we'll fight until the end
If tigers come, we'll fight and battle
If elephants come, we'll fight in rage
If humans come, we'll fight and obliterate

    If you come as snakes,
We'll become Garuda birds and fly over you
    If you come as tigers
We'll face you as lions with blue mane

    hu - hu - hu - hu...
    hu - hu - hu - hu...

If you come with evil intenstions, we'll give you a fight!

Ten of us will strike you as thunder
Hundred of us will shatter your heart
Thousand of us will destroy and obliterate
Ten thousand of us will hand you the wrath of heaven!

    hu - hu - hu - hu...
    hu - hu - hu - hu...

If you come as a flood, we'll fight you until death
If you come swarming, we'll scatter you around
If you come flying, we'll shoot you down with our archeries
If you come charging, we'll slice you with our swords

    hu - hu - hu - hu...
    hu - hu - hu - hu...

Let's cut through them as speed of flying falcons
Let's burn within as the hearts of wolves!
    Let's stampede with our horses
Let's defeat them with the wisdom of our Great Khaan, Chinggis!

For US bands... have you met Home Free yet? Their music is all over the map. They cover Boyz II Men "End of the Road," "Man of Constant Sorrow," "Ring of Fire," "Hillbilly Bone," "In the Blood." They have some brilliant originals "Champaign taste on a Beer Budget," "Quarantine," "Dive Bar Saints" "Warmest Winter" and "Snow Globe." Their mash-ups are pretty awesome too "Country-Fried Pop Medley" and the "Butts Remix."

The colab with Jacoby Shaddix is the pretty good, it's the same song as this one, they just alternate between Mongolian and English lyrics.
But I really think you should do "The Song of Woman" colab with Lzzy Hale, there is also a "making of" video you ought to watch, it gives some good insight on how the colab was created. There is also a English lyric video to the original song that will help you understand what the song is about.

    Dear OldskuleNerd!
It's been some time and greetings to you and your daughters!
Commentators and fans have provided you with plenty of great information and I do not want to offend them by repeating their more than excellent contributions!
Living in Japan and a bit nearer to Mongolia (only a few thousands of kilometers, ah, ah!), there is a big interaction between these two countries because the best Mongolian wrestlers are reaping all the big prizes in the Japanese Sumo Tournaments. Quite a few of them get married to Japanese tiny ladies and switch nationalities.
Mongolia is a (very) poor country and this particular band have enough money to run their own recording studio. Simply said they are part of the higher (royal?) society in Mongolia, and they are very well educated for all their traditional garb.
As for their "Hell's Angels", they are just very rich people in heir society where a Harley Davidson would buy them a palace! Rich men there do not drive flimsy Lamborghini's, they ride the best horses available, that is, foreign super bikes. That said, traditional Hell Angels would have little chance to win hand to hand battles with them!
One of the most macho countries in the world but with women to match! Walkyries look like schoolgirls in comparison!
For all their terrible looks and demeanor quite nice people who look after their own better than some of ours and they hold incredible respect and love o their elders!
And they are a thorn in the side of the Chinese who entertain a healthy inferiority complex towards them!
Did you know they chose Russian cyrillic writing instead of Chinese characters for their language which had never been put into writing until then?
Best regards and all that, and more!
    Robert-Gilles
