unless there is a way to cut down on all the Icons you have to click within eBay and upload all the photos from my Downloads at 1 time I can only list at most about 4-8 items per hour. I know how to do 'sell similar' but if the item is new and mine is Like New I have to change that as well as any Icon clicks I have to alter. Any suggestions appreciated. I type fast but its the # of steps that take so long. Loading ie 8 photos 1 at a time is time eating. I have to make sure the photos are all Right side up since my iPhone is not always cooperative.
For me it's the opposite if the work is the same every day. If it's the same everyday, I devolve back into suicidal depression, especially when the 9-5 involved listening to the same radio stations on a loop. Flipping automatically has different sales and trends and new BOLOs everyday compared to the 9-5, as well as always having something to do and having all the choice of a plethora of options to tackle in any order you see fit. So although habits are better for sales and success, sometimes the distractions are necessary for motivation is necessary for the will to live.

My life has recently gotten much less busy but I feel like I was getting very little done because I have to rethink my schedule. Its been the game changer for me.
I only list 5 items each day but that’s all I need to make the income I want and need (plus more if I decide I want them in an auction) It kinda depends on what you are selling. Clothing, yes this is a perfect model but when you have items that are worth $300+ and they are highly collectible and burn through my store I don’t need to work hard at all.
I do it differently. Wife does photos. I list at the same time. If I'm listing too fast I'll work behind her and clean/test items and organise items for her as we go. And we package at the end of the day or during our lunch break. Either way we can get a lot of listing up in one day between the two of us. But your advice is very helpful.

I mean really hit me mentally like the biggest wake up call! I've been subscribed to you for ever! Yes. forever. But, have I watched you continually, no. That's my sidetracked mentality. I thought I had it all together, but I didn't. And still don't. I turned to watching motivational vids, depression vids, pick yourself up vids, etc., etc., etc. And I am no further ahead at all! And on top of that, I haven't even started eBay! That's a different story for another time. "Appointments"; Finish the task; uninterrupted; Wow! Wow! WOW!! Now does that ever make sense to me! Thee most important 'appointment' is to myself! For my over-all health & wellbeing. Then, all other appointments will fall into place once I make me, my desires & goals thee clearest appointment! And your takes with camera work and shipping, can be applied to any tasks! Thank you! I now know where "I" need to start. (& that includes watching more of your vids, lol)

I do my shipping and run to post office then move my unlisted items around and get in front of computer thinking about listing one or two items. End up just running a few sales or looking for other things to do around the house.
As a mom, multitasking is not a myth. In every other part of my life however it is! Like it can take so long to do multiple things in my day at the same time with ADD mind. I end up with multiple things only part way done as the sun goes down! Yet as a mom my kids are fed, clean, dressed, taught and shuffled from point to point and my full time job is done.
I personally needed to hear this valuable insight. I struggle distraction and overworking myself negative impact on my life. I agree important focus on priorities. I think also good write schedule google calendar. Have a great holiday Chris.

I'm from England and I literally am broke right now and I do exactly what you say not to do, I list a couple of items then watch videos then list a couple more, the way I was seeing it was list then reward then list then reward etc but it makes perfect sense that this is not an effective way to list once you've actually explained the reasoning

When I list I go in this order 1 photos 2 pack in poly mailer 3 weigh 4 lable mailer with inventory numer and weight. Then list. Last store items in garage. Done. When item sells go to garage find item print lable. Put in outgoing mail. I only ship through usps.
I usually package everything I list too, once it's listed. I don't tape or seal it, just make sure it's in the same package I weighed it in. I don't sell full time so, I'm not in a big rush to trim time off here or there when posting something for sale.

What about time to learn and edit? I'm new to this and stuck in a state that does present problems and have near to no tech skills or tools. So far at the moment all I have is my cell phone

Ebay has went to crap all I get on the other end of the phone are foreigners from Malaysia that work for eBay, and they don't know what they are doing. They are the ABSOLUTE WORST!!. Funniest part is they use American names like susie.
I have a photo box , my photos still look dark once on eBay, is there something I can get to avoid dark background on photos? It takes time to lighten them up on eBay. I think I’d rather not use the box at this point.

If you use a camera you can change the light balance setting, not sure what to do on a phone.
