Jay Baruchel, the original voice pf Hiccup, is 42 and he was 26 or 27 when he 1st voiced Hiccup and the 1st movie came out on March 26. 2010, 1 month before his 28th birthday and I was 7 about to be 8 on August 17th when that movie came to theaters. Now I'm 22 and I'll be 23 in almost two months after the live action remake comes out.
It's crazy how to bring this familiar movie to a franchise coming to live action for the very first time!! I was 15 to 16 in 2010, and now, in 2024, I'm 30, my belated birthday was last month. Time flies...
ye but I'm not excited to see the actual emotional character moments because in live action you lose all of the subtle character animation, I'm only excited to see toothless and his flying scenes, no other live action has a variable like toothless for me to get excited for, like why would I be excited to see a disney princess in real life, but a NIGHT FURY... Gah Damn
If they are going to be race swapping, it really all comes down to how the actor plays the part. I remember when PBS did the same thing to Javert in the mini series for Les Miserables, and they did a good job with that. When they did it in the recent adaptation of the little mermaid I had a hard time with it. I'm hoping they give a back story to Astrid to explain it. Otherwise, this looks very good!
@ yes I think what a lot of people don’t understand about the film industry is that people do audition for these roles so many people were probably auditioned for Astrid and she just turned out to be the best. I’m excited to see her take.

Imagine when they do "TITAN A.E." OH, GOD.
And the series was good to, I use to watch it with my kids and I enjoy it.
Really crying here.
See you JUNE 13
It feels like AI took the animated version and just deep-faked it to be "live-action."
It's uncannily too similar.
The animation is done by Framestore. It's not AI.
are you dumb?
@@GingerWizzard1994, well, kudos to them!

The fact that they have race swapped Astrid is not really getting me hyped.
You can’t race swap a fictional character from a fantasy world 👍🏽
