You can buy literally 100 TVS XL 100's for the price of one Harley, and start a Bounce service or something! And you can earn and then buy the Harley, or buy another 100 TVS XL 100's and ...
Well eventhough we will not buy a xl at our 20 but most of the person who drive bike today ,Surely learned their driving in xl. XL one of the coolest childhood memories.
From reviewing a TVS Moped to racing a flight!.. What is that Autocar has not done in over 20+yrs!!.. Always your fan.. right from your 1st Magazine times Autocar ❤️.. You taught Indian Automobile Journalism how to review a Car/ Bike!.. Pioneers really..
TVS Luna has always been a great commercial vehicle. I still remember it's slogan as "Do Paiyokki Lori" that much strength it could deliver. Now About my Bajaj..... 1st 4S champion, 2nd Caliber 112, 3rd Discover 125 (2+ lakh kms may be) still running strong with lowest maintenance. Even the spare parts are so cheap. Bajaj truly is a brand By Indian For Indian. Jai Hind.
I used ride xl to carry a lot of baggage to a small farm... This thing is a beast.... Amazing for carriage and eazy to ride... With a take off pillion seat...
I own a 2016 BS-3 CT100B. A handlebar swap and a rear suspension swap have made this motorcycle so damn comfortable and easy to ride, i don't even want to upgrade to another bike at this point. It's crossed state borders, it's been at hilltops and at beaches and ivr even crossed a stream on it! It's taken everything I've thrown at it with no fuss. I've had a hard time explaining to people that there's more to these bikes than what meets the eye. This video made me so happy, seeing you guys expressing ny thoughts on my bike for me. Thank you so much, you guys
Tvs excel was my first motorcycle, since then I have owned Pulsar 150, Gs150r, Thunderbird 350, and the Dominar 2019. But the excel was a motorcycle with a different feel! It gave me the most fun as I started out! Big shout out to tvs!!
Brought back my childhood, my first motorised bike was a TVS champ. Now I ride bigger bikes, thanks Autocar for reminding me and bringing back good memories
Very well presented video, you guys. The experiment with chikoo was so brilliant! Yes, you are absolutely right- XL has that personal connection that nobody take away from you and plus it stands out among the rest of two wheeler vehicles albeit in a strange way.
TVs kept scooter industry alive by keeping TVs scooty selling till Activa arrived . TVS is reviving Moped industry all alone and kudos to them. Moped is still better option to carry huge luggage inmost reasonable way still
The CT100B was the first bike I purchased a few years ago. A year after its purchase I bought a Himalayan. But the CT is a very good value for money bike. Have thrashed it more than the Himalayan and it has held good so far. Use it for riding in the city as it is a very light bike, can park it anywhere, has good fuel economy and is comfortable and adequately powered for the city usage. Never really done a long ride on it though but I am tempted to take it on a long ride. Just wish that the CT had the suspension like a Himalayan to make offroading lot more fun considering how light the bike is.
Oh! That TVS thingi is an old contraption. My dad bought one in 1984, inspite of living in the backyard of Bajaj, and it worked well into my college days in the late 1990's It was 50cc back then. Very sturdy. Only problem - in the rain the exposed spark plug would get wet and it would stop :) Best of luck trying to dry it in drenching rain.
My grand father had an older version of xl100 and the ride was always fun. The review took me back in time and respect for auto car for putting this review together for the average Indian ✌😎
Nice and refreshingly different review. Now I know the reason why the hippies prefer the TVs xl in hampi! It's a dope ride 😅. True respect to both of these. They are earning livelihood partners for a lot of Indians! Appreciation truly deserved!
M sure al of us who watched this review ver emotionally moved.. now a days kids have an illusion dat to have fun ur bike should be expensive and fast, which is not true at all..
This one review made AutoCar earn lot of respect.

XL anyday. Just have a tsunami or a rain in your city and check which one still works
U can buy new xL every year instead of Harley

Fun fact tvs xl got fi for bs vi and ct100 got e - carburetor
Thanks for the info. I'll get an XL for grocery runs if it gets FI as you say. Those bigger wheels are much safer than a similar priced scooter.
We had a first generation CT 100 that my father bought in 2006. I just sold it last week to the bhangar wala bhayya for 1400 rupees😀
Good video Autocar!
Thanks for this video,
