Belgisch?! Gisteren werd deze band mij aangeraden & groot was mijn verbazing toen ik hier ontdekte dat ze landgenoten zijn ;) Héél straf gemaakte muziek! Ben het album & heel het concept vd band hier voor eerst aan't ontdekken... Het is een waar genot! :D
Heb ze twee keer live gezien in het verleden: één keer in Trix tesamen met Raketkanon, en één keer met Steak Number Eight en Brutus ergens in Nederland. Ze klinken live even overweldigend, zwaar en hypnotisch. Absolute aanrader!
Discovered this band after reading a review of Quelle in WIRE magazine. Brilliant stuff. I'm coming to Belgium to see them live very soon. Love discovering new music in WIRE mag.
This album sounds even better live! Seen them twice in a month, once in a mid-sized venue (Balzaal Vooruit) and once in a big venue (Hof ter Loo). Vooruit was great but Hof Ter Loo was even better because the soundsystem was bigger and it was way louder than in Vooruit. This is the type of music that becomes better the louder it’s being played! I actually went to Hof ter Loo for The Ocean, but I feel pity for them as they had to play after Briqueville as honestly they didn’t even come close in atmosphere and massive sound. Never play after Briqueville, kids! Big ups to Hof ter Loo for being the best concert hall in Belgium btw.
Saw them last weekend in Doornroosje, unfortunately I didn't see the whole show but man I do regret that. Listening to this album on repeat for the last three days and still not sick of it. Fun thing is that the music they make is exactly like what I have been wanting to make for a few years now. Sad thing is that if I begin a band and do that it would probably be a Briqueville-ripoff 😅
Me to ahh that atmospheric build up great tones, if they ever come to the un united cooperate states ehh,half my favorite bands are from Belgium where I have 2nd cousins or Italy and Sweden ahh
