Having tattoo is not illegal but the operation of tattooing is. So you have tattoo overseas and come to korea with it, its okay. But even if you have tattoos no one will have questions where you got it. the law is kind of obsolete.
You're allowed to give tattoos in Korea if you are a licensed medical doctor, but the tattoo scene is so big that there are so many "illegal" tattoo shops nobody really cares lol :)
You can DEFINITELY come to Korea with tattoos. Tattoos themselves aren't illegal (although if you're at a bathhouse or something with a lot of tattoos you might get complaints from older people and may get kicked out) but the act of giving tattoos is illegal unless you are a licensed medical doctor. So many singers and people in Korea who have tattoos either get them when they travel overseas or in secret illegal tattoo shops in Korea. As for tattoos on Korean tv shows they are often asked to cover them up or given sleeves, bandages or given band-aids to cover visible tattoos on TV shows. Each member also has things they've done on their own. Ringa Linga is good as well as Good Boy. Crooked is another good track. They also dropped a new album and music video. And I don't think you'd be judged, as you are foreign, unless it's heavy tattoo work in which case you might get some looks. People who do have tattoo's, as there is an illegal tattooing scene there, places that are illegal and kinda underground, do cover them up for the most part. Some idols do actually have tattoos and will show them up but on some tv shows they'll blur them out and such. It's something that is changing as South Korea's younger generation opens up to things. Compared to another group idol in South Korea, they have their own company to choose what kind music match with them. This thing make me think that they is the best artist on South Korea right now. Iam just "How can they doing everthing on their own?" No wonder they can stay for 10 year. They trully success on music, fashion. Not many artist can stay on top for long time.
