The fact that the electric playground is atill around with one of the original hosts is so cool and nostalgic.
Best thing i learned in 2024
I think Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt made Twister memorable.
Don't forget Phillip Seymour Hoffman. He was awesome
@@PatrixRaider PSH was so perfect and a gift to Twister, the suck zoooooooone buuuuuuuuuudy!! hahahaah i miss his acting! dude was so under rated! Bill Paxton was also perfect in it
@@PatrixRaider I did not realise that Phillip Seymour Hoffman was in Twister because I was very young when I watched it the first time. He was amazing too.
The first time I saw him in a movie was Mission Impossible 3
We miss you on Twitch VIC! :)
facts
I appreciate this review!
And Mr Lucas is WAY more than a RUclipsr 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I miss Bill also. He died way to young
Absolutely.
If Bill Paxton would be still alive i like to imagine that he would have played something like a mentor for the younger stormchasers in Twisters. R.i.P Bill
Game over man, game over!
Thanks for the review, Vic. Sorry you didn't enjoy it but thanks for saving me the time and money of seeing it. I'll go watch Quiet Place instead.
Hollywood needs to come up with some new ideas for movies instead of rehashing old ideas with sequels and remakes that nobody really asked for or wanted.
this movie always looked like it was going to be very hollow. appreciate the honest review.
Let’s face it , no one can replace Bill Paxton . He was just the best in everything he did .
This movie never should have been green lit
Well the movie is a huge hit, the thing is the original was a long, long, time ago and many movie goers weren't even born when it was released so they have no point of comparison. It is a great popcorn flick like the original.
Twister is much better. You said everything I felt.
There was zero tribute to Bill or Philip as well. Hugely missed opportunity of Kate being Bill and Jos daughter, having the same abilities that Bill had predicting storms.
Yup why even pretend it’s a sequel?
I totally agree!! With that being said since she wasn't related to anyone from the OG film,I wonder how did she get her hands on Dorthy 2 in the beginning of the film?!🤔
Huge missed opportunity. Connecting it to the OG movie, while perhaps formulaic, feels necessary to justify this film’s existence. It’s odd that the filmmakers decided not to go that route.
I went into this movie expecting to hate it, but I rather enjoyed it. I saw it at the drive-in with the family. Something about sitting outside, under the stars, just made the experience of a tornado movie that much more exciting.
Come on Vic! You Could’ve given it at least a 5/10 😁🇨🇦
It was less than a mediocre movie for me. It was legit disappointing.
@@EPN Well it’s definitely not as good as the original. Thanks for writing back Vic. Appreciate it. Cheers from Ottawa Ontario.👍🏻🇨🇦
I feel ya Vic. I probably would have walked out of the theater if I was hit with that much country music. 🤣
I enjoyed the movie. I wasn't expecting much going in but was pleasantly surprised. In some ways I actually liked it better than the first one and I loved the first movie, seen it countless times.
That being said, yea, the cast isn't as strong as the first movie and I wish there was maybe a special cameo or something. Still, tons of great action, story was at least decent and kept me engaged. I thought it was worth watching
Yea, I think you're right that the first movie was more "down to earth" this one is a bit over the top but it was fun
The first one was lightning in a bottle. Can't be done again. Like jaws, Ghostbusters and....wait for it... beetlejuice. That will be the next terrible rehash. Mark my words.
Gladiator 2 also..
I really hope not with Beetlejuice Beetlejuice! It’s Burton and Keaton! 🤞🏻
Bill Paxton was really the Extreme
You saved me $20 bucks! Thanks so much as always! Did you review Unicorn Overlord?
I had a feeling this would be bad. It looks like a higher budget straight to video flick.
It’s not…movie is actually really fun. Go in for yourself
Fr I enjoyed it it was fun
This is just Victors opinion. It doesn’t have to be yours. I respect Vic’s opinion but I’m probably still going to see this and decide for myself.
@@davidpliskin3330 who?
@@MJA-Horror-FilmssVictor Lucas…the dude we’re all here to see? lol
Hi Victor. I love that you don't like country music. You and I can be friends now.
The first one is much better and agree with most of the comments that Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt made that movie special. But I did enjoy Twisters a little more than Vic, well made and fun for a few hours in the cinema, I would give it a 7.
Hey Vic, don't forget upcoming reviews for Borderlands,Beetlejuice 2, and Gladiator 2 when they release.
Absolutely! All of those are in the queue!
I missed Bill Paxton too. 😢
We all do buddy...
“Not cool looking goggles”? Lol, those aren’t goggles. Pretty sure those are Randolph Aviator sunglasses, which are really cool, well built sunglasses. Tom Cruise wears them in American Made, Jon Hamm wears them in Mad Men.
Goggles weren’t in the trailer footage. :)
@@EPNi was just pointing it out, what you said about the superman actor’s sunglasses in this movie. Those sunglasses are cool as shit. Expensive, but cool. I own a pair myself with Rx lenses and love wearing them
Vic you should check out the new 4k twister that just came out.
Bill will always remember the cows 🐄 🌪️ or the same one 🐄 so many good memories and movies. 🙏 glad they did a reboot
me: " Twisters looks like it might be worth seeing, but I'll wait for the reviews.."
" I knew it..."
Basically it’s a cluster f of chasers running around
Taking country music out of Oklahoma as hard as taking Rap music out of LA, great movie representing Oklahoma
Welp that sucks but it serves as another example that show some things need to be left alone & not remade
I wonder if the director did the💲 thing like James Cameron and that was it.
I saw a review on Facebook and that was my first thought. I miss Bill Paxton. Looking back his role in Aliens was very whiney but I remember as a kid loving Bill Paxton in Aliens and Twister. The way he went out in Aliens was awesome.
Glen did a great freakin job.... everybody else were boring
Twister started the trend of big disaster movies. Don't think this new one will start another.
Other critics are pretty positive on this one. Maybe you just dislike country music that much?
I didn’t care about any of the characters. 🤷🏻♂️ Probably wouldn’t have even noticed the country music if I did.
I hated the new Twister movie. It just made me want to watch the original
Bill Paxton in the movie frailty was highly underrated.
Vic seems unusually agitated in this review.
Just bummed out by the movie. Wanted to enjoy it and sure didn’t! :)
If FGL were a movie.
Was there a cow ?
Nope!!
You know if Vic gives your movie less than a 5, you done made a terrible movie.
Hollywood has run out of ideas.
Nah! It’s just really competitive now and studios are trying to mitigate risk.
💯💯
Incongruous: out of keeping or place; inappropriate; unbecoming, not harmonious in character; inconsonant; lacking harmony of parts
I hate country music but it wasn’t that bad at all. Overblowing the amount they play. Way too low of a score for sure
It looks positively awful
His last shows agents of shield.
quality click bait headline
Visit the mid-west and turn on the radio.... it's largely country, old honky-tonk, classic rock, Bluegrass and christian music - so this movie got that correct! As someone who was born in Kansas myself, and saw a lot of tornado's growing up in the 80s and early 90s in the mid-west.. this film got both the music and setting really spot on.
I am however actually pretty sorry that Vic is a Canadian watching this film - mostly because, I can only imagine it must have been like a 50+ year-old from Tennessee listening to Hip-Hop/Rap Music for almost two hours. lol. 🤣
*PS* Rest in Peace Bill Paxton! You were always the coolest Space Marine.
Canada has all the same music the US has. Not sure what him being Canadian has to do with it.
@@whisperienced It's a joke buddy. Vic's review basically hinged on him not liking the music, and so I made a 'Canadian' joke. 🤷♂
Secondly, if we need to be literal here (because autism apparently): The mid-west of the US (outside major cities) tends to have a lot of local radio stations dispersed (certainly in the 80s and 90s) that ONLY play that kind of music. There were not as many stations that covered music popular in other parts of the US or (apparently) Canada, and it's just a cultural thing there.
So whether you have the "same music [as] the US" - that has literally nothing to do with the specific context that twister is set in a specific time and place were there is a very narrow culture and specific music to that geographical region. You would know this if you had grown up in the mid-west.
So get off you high horse pal, and pull the diaper wedgie loose. 👍
@@mr.selfimprovement3241 you write an essay defending a lame "joke" and talk about high horses while acting like the arbiter of understanding of the US.
🌪 never thought anyone would ever miss Bill yikes that means this movie is worse then the og how is that possible
wtf are you talking about twister is a damn good movie….trash talking twister you gotta be outta your damn mind
Look the original Twister was pretty bad for its time but compared to what's getting put out today it looks golden. None of this has anything to do with Paxton. I loved him in Aliens and Twister, nothing wrong with saying that. He was perfectly fine for the roles he played.
@darkl3ad3r he was a good as Chet an over sized man fly 🪰 very strange science
Just a cash grab, they’re trying to ride the fame of the original. Sad
Watch it for yourself before making judgment dude…
