I must be a Rover fan because I like them all! The styling just seems to please my eye. I don't really care for the apparently iridescence of the car at 10:57. However, I would be interested in knowing how that appearance is achieved. It looks like the "interference spectral colours" that one sees in optically thin films, like soap bubbles and optical anti-reflection coatings. However, that would require complex paint application so......I just don't know. The "roof box" on Millie 13:36 looks to be very useful, particularly considering the space constraints in a Mini. 20:56 Italian Job special Mini. Yes, the film IS good fun. I love the gorgeous opening sequence, with Rossano Brazzi driving the gorgeous Lamborghini Miura up the Great St Bernard Pass while the soundtrack is Matt Munro's singing a beautiful song, "On Days Like These". I can't resist giving a thumbs-up to the MG Metro at 24:05. It's just so plucky!
Yes, the iridescent shades of paint are very much a matter of personal taste. It's probably not I would choose for my car, but some people do like them. The roof box on Mr Bill's Mini is indeed very practical.
I believe, near the end they all left the factory with the 180 kit fitted. This one is also the 5th to final in XPG, 3rd to final ZS+ 110 and 53rd to final ZS
@@lloydvehicleconsulting We have a few MGBs, some original Minis and a few vintage Land Rover Defenders here in Singapore. Someone in my estate even had an Austin 1100!
@@lloydvehicleconsulting I highly doubt there are still old Rovers left in Singapore. They are rare in Singapore, even when new, even before the company's demise. Last time I saw one was around 2010, it's a green 620 I think. That car is probably scrapped by now.
This was a bit of a curiosity to me so from what you were saying Joseph they use part from other manufactures on the MGs and Rovers so how did that come about when I left the UK parts were from the car manufactuerer I worked in Unipart for a couple of years and we did not use Fiat parts on MGs or Rovers hope the guy who had the seasure is ok regards Andy
When manufacturers design cars, particularly limited production models, it is much easier to incorporate pre-existing parts than design new ones. Thus, the MG XPower SV has headlamps from a Fiat Punto Mark II, as well as a Ford 4.6 V8, as well as an electric mirror switch from a Rover 800. This does work to one's advantage when looking for spares, of course. The XPower SV was the evolution of an Italian car originally called the De Tomaso or Qvale Mangusta, so it's not surprising that certain points were Italian sourced.
@@lloydvehicleconsulting Thank you for your reply it's plain to see from this that parts and distrubution has chaned a lot since the eighties supprisingly Unipart still exsits here but they sell more American parts mainly to the trade is Unipart still going in the UK ?regards Andy Allen.
Any white Rover 25 looks very smart. The Karrite Roof Box looks massive on top of Millie. Not many people know how quick and fine handling a Rubber Bumper MG Midget 1500 really is, it was always dismissed as out of date. Equally it was lost on many how talented the original MG Metro was. Exquisite MG RV8. Did you like the feel of the ZTT 190 Sir?
Sorry I had to disturb you mid Shambolic shuffle Sir ! 😞 But thank you again for being so understanding. And the gentleman in question is recovering well ❤️🩹 and resting. 😊 Big well done to all involved. Especially Becci for her quick response and to assist him as well as Rob from Beards and bangers for his quick dial to 999 ! 👍🏼 Thanks for your lovely comments about my Rover 25 🥰 I spent a fair few days detailing it from top to bottom. 🧼🚗 And indeed the chrome mirror caps are add on by myself. 👌 Take care sir 👍🏼 are you around tomorrow? 😊
Sir, we are replying to your comment from the show itself, so there we go!. Yes, I have seen around today, and he looks much better. The engine bay looked very clean again today when I saw it. Nice to see that I was right about the chrome mirror caps.
A great first part to this shuffle sir and a little drive as a added bonus.
The other two parts have now been filmed, sir! We enjoyed our little spin out to the Piston Club.

You forgotten your apologies at the starts sir
I am not apologising for the lack of apology, sir.
The MK2 ZS at 13:00 is actually a 110 (1.6cc). It left the factory 3 days before MG Rover collapsed with the 180 kit fitted
Never seen a ZS 110 with the 180 kit before. A sheep in wolf's clothing? Thank you ever so much indeed for watching and commenting!

They probably wanted to use parts up, didn't they?
I wish we have British cars like these here in Singapore. Happy 100th aniversary to MG! Happy 120th aniversary to Rover as well!
There must be some old British cars in Singapore somewhere....

Yes, Unipart still exist over here. They were part of British Leyland for a time, of course.
@@lloydvehicleconsulting Ok good to know Joseph they were good to work for thanks Andy.
We aim to please, sir!
I wish Rover is still around today. Even if it lasts for a few more years beyond April 2005, it's still better than nothing!
I think Rover is unlikely to come back, sir, unfortunately. I have owned nine Rovers, so I am one of those who do miss the company.

Sir, we have a video on the ZT-T coming up soon. Millie won an award at the event!
