Pixar was truly at its height back in the 2000s. One good movie after another, Cars, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Monsters Inc, Wall-E and so many more. We were so lucky to grow up in this era.

There are very few movie scenes that still pump me up, but I always wait in excitement for “Lightning, you ready?” Then the doors start opening and hearing that song, the whole race is pure dopamine. I love it, I love Lightning being a cocky and young racer doing all those tricks and just showing off, he feels like an underdog despite not showing him struggling. People say this movie is bad, sure when it came out comparing it to Pixar’s other movies this movie didn’t seem that crazy but it’s still a good film and people seem to undermine it and it’s sad.

The reason why people thought the movie was bad is because of Pixar’s movies at the time, Cars came out after Incredibles, Finding Nemo and Monsters Inc.
People compared Cars to those movies and thought Cars wasn’t that good because they didn’t live up to those films.
After Cars 2 everyone thought “Oh well the Cars movies are horrible!”
The first one isn’t bad, it’s great and the 3rd one varies from person to person but it’s ok to me.

Cars 1 is a masterpiece! The main character lightening acknowledging his biggest accident lead to his greatest advantage. He learned to be thankful from others, and got encouragement from a famous car racer who retired! The soundtrack is also perfect in this film! I love this movie.
