I know one dumb comment isn't enough to change your outlook on life, but hey,, take it from me Even just a year or two ago this song described me extremely well. I had always dreamed of romance and having a partner of some kind. But I had always been rejected, led on, friendzoned. Nothing ever went well for me and I was always extremely lonely. It got so bad with depression and anxiety that I just straight up started becoming a nihilist about love. I didn't think it existed, and that it was pointless to try. God, that was a VERY good way to describe how I thought. I was so negative, and I still am in some ways, thinking I just didn't deserve love But then I got with my boyfriend. Who isn't just any guy mind you, he was my best friend. Our relationship is extremely healthy, and he is literally my other half. I've known him for years, even through my whole "nihilistic mindset" phase. I didn't think it was possible, if you had told me I'd find someone all those years ago I probably wouldn't have believed you Love, of course, isn't perfect. It has it's ups and downs, and it isn't going to fix everything that's wrong in your life. I'm guessing a lot of people here in this comment section are currently at that nihilistic,, love doesn't exist stage. So if you're reading this, feeling extremely bitter thinking "You don't know what it's like" or "Good for you, that'll never happen for me" I've been there, 100%. All I have to say is,, right now you are extremely vulnerable. Don't rush into anything, or anyone that gives you a centimeter of attention. People can take advantage of the fact that you're lonely, and are desperate for love and affection. Someone who truly loves you will come around, and prove themselves. It just takes time. For now, focus on the daily tasks. Get up and brush your teeth, take a nice hot shower, pick up the dirty clothes off your floor. Take life one step at a time, because remember, everything takes time, love does. And so does loving yourself Good luck everyone out there, I hope you're able to live your life in peace despite everything 💖
