@@Travelwineanddine we live in Denmark , and have a lot of bosnian friends during 30 + yrs(also in California) .Worked in Red cross (u kampu ) and tried to help a lot of Bosnians. 200 persons came from Tuzla area to our town. When i meet Them again They still Call me “nema problema Eni” that was my Nick name in the camp! We still see a lot of Them as friends , and even also meet up in San Francisco and Mostar with Them too. They are a part of our life forever Still we understand some bosnian and talk it…malo malo

We live in USA have faced similar situations like all the people you had helped which is incredible and I am sure Bosnians will always treat you as part of their family!! @@Travelwineanddine we love Bosnian culture , food and the Bosnian people , the humor and the friendly behavior and it would have been so much better to have seen eachother in a different situation in wich everybody Was put at that time wich was devistating for everybody ! We had a situation here, were the only thing we could do was to be able to make a Daily life for Them and bring smiles into all People’s face, listen to Them at night, at filling out the red cross papers for seeking family who was left there. My now pritelija , haden’t seen her husband for two yrs. I convinced her to fill out every paper to look for him throughout borders by Red Cross We send the papers july 1993 and october 16 th late at night, she came Home to me at my House , it was his birthday, and finally she had answer back from him! It was a very very happy day, we always celebrate that date Meanwhile she tried to get back to USA where They lived before, and their kids was born there . I drove her to the embassy and back several times and to the airport thursday august 24 1994 Excactly that time her husband was on leave from military and came to Zagreb. And he had a planeticket to leave for Denmark august 27! That was a problem. I had to get in contact with him and Veritas in Zagreb , to tell him They left for US. After 31/2 month he came to US too and was united with the family after 3 1/2 yrs apart! Have been there twice to visit Them . We also meet up in Bosnia one yr They was attending a wedding there and we drove 1800 km each Way to see Them .
@@Travelwineanddine hvala, it has been an honor to learn about Bosnia and your people! . My grandfather helped the jews during to Sweden, wich was not a part of World War 2 , helped to hide Them and for Them to escape the germans, and he worked undercover in the secret army of resistance. So we already knew how bad things could be. Thats why a lot of danish people knew it could make such a difference and did some acts to help andsome even to hide bosnian people too.
