Yall looking at the crowd but not looking at how the sisters and brothers had they back. They probably couldn't have inside due to covid. Great job AKA divine 9!! Powerful.
Please do not take this the wrong way Ladies, I know I am not a Soror but I am Frat and I love My AKAs'. I pledged Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. Zeta Zeta Chapter at the University of Oklahoma in 1977. Yes, this is the way they cross now but they are not hazing; back in my day, that was the real deal. Frats and Sorors that cross now did not ask for this method. We can't blame them for their time and place. Believe me, for over 20 years I had nothing to do with this process. But now, I'm glad that people still want to join, we still have to choose aspirants wisely that they may have a burning in their heart to be a part of the organization and will work once in!! As much as I wish joining a Greek organization was different now or had the old school flava; It is what it is! Thank you for understanding! Btw, I enjoy watching the young Bruhs and Sorors probate shows; besides witnessing their excitement, that is why I am here.
Wow...this was so unorganized! I felt sorry that they couldn't seem to get started. Why wouldn't the people give them room? It looked like it was a VERY HOT DAY!!
Why didn't they have this inside where it would be cooler and the audience can sit down? That way they wouldn't have to worry about people being in the pathway. Plus the masks were unnecessary since they were outside.
At Howard, probate is held outside. It’s tradition. In 1986 I recall watching DST Pyramids/Probates “death March” and do their probate show in the pouring rain. Nowadays, I don’t think that’s legal to have pledge club do their probate in the rain though or a death march either. The weather was beautiful the next year for MY probate. HU Class of ‘89/ 10A87 DST
Is it a requirement for these young ladies to wear someone else's hair? It appears that most of them have wigs or weaves, and not displaying their natural hair and beauty.
Let’s use common sense. Our hair in the heat will poof up, and if they want it straight a great idea is to use a wig. This isn’t a self hate issue. Silence.
@georgesingleton3425 That wyte woman spell is heavy in our women. Most of them are long gone. But fear not. A new order and brand new evolved black man and woman will appear on earth around the year 2060. Look for the 🟥🟦🟨flags.
This has been the tradition at HU💕💕
