I would say my two favorite are adidas duramo. They are really durable. Flexible in the right areas. Its flexible in the toes and ball of your foot while not so much in the heel which is great because its heal is very padded and supportive. There very absorbent and you can take high drops. While not getting bruised feet but able to feel the ground. The grip is really really good and the shoe can last you almost two years of you fully use the. The other shoe is reebok classic joggers. They come in alot of cool colors. Very comfortable to wear. Not as durable but still provide good grip and good support
Mhm agreed. Adidas duramo seem really good. Haven't tried them but I've heard amazing things from local communities. Do you think I should give em a go? I am looking for a new trainer.
It would be great if you added some background music! also please at the end of your videos say which shoe you liked the most, which one would you recommend, and why
Thanks for the input. My personal favorite out of this list are the New Balance MRL 420 SD. They are an affordable price (The Farangs are expensive), with excellent grip (better than the Asics), comfortable fit, a moderate amount of padding without being too padded (the Vans and the Reeboks are both more padded than I like) and I like how they look. However, I have found that everyone likes something different. This is not a list of the top 5 shoes that I recommend, but a list of the top 5 most popular shoes this last year. Some of the shoes that I like the most aren't in this video because they don't seem to be as popular as these 5.
Though I'm not a parkour practitioner, I got kicked down a pair of Saucony Bullets that fit perfectly a few years back and they had the grippiest outsoles, best groundfeel, and had just enough padding (for me) to cushion from fairly high drops. They were also hella light. I found that I could ascend an L.A. stoplight by planting the ball off my foot against the side of the vertical pole and get enough purchase to launch myself up to the walking signal and pull myself the rest of the way up. They were my everyday shoes so they didn't last too terribly long, but they're definitely worth it in my opinion. Any parkour practitioners that have any thoughts on 'em?
Yes! The Saucony Bullets are probably my number one "cheap" recommendation for a decent shoe on the more minimal end of the spectrum. My only real criticism of them is their durability, but considering how cheap they are, that's not really a problem. The grip is quite capable but certainly not the best out there. And they definitely don't protect your foot as much as many other alternatives. But for people that like the Onitsuka Tiger Serrano or Ultimate 81, they are a comparable, cheap alternative!
I would say the Farang has slightly better grip, but is a pretty minimal. If you land poorly, your foot will hurt. The grip on the Reebok takes a bit of breaking it, but then it's quite good.
The ultraranges are a softer foam so you can actually feel the ground more, where as the classic nylons are quite thick and pretty firm so you don't feel much. However, in my opinion, because the ultraranges are such soft foam, they almost destabilize your foot slightly as they squish and move around under your weight.
They were still going strong up until around 2009 I think. And they came out with the K Swiss SI-2018 but they weren't like the old ones :( RIP K Swiss SI -18 Ranel
Both have very good grip. I would recommend the Adistar Racers absolutely but they are very hard to find. If you can find them, buy em! The 420s are easily available and if you get the MRL 420 SD they have really good grip and durability. If you get the U420, the pair I had did have very good grip, but they fell apart very quickly. I actually glued them together several times because the sole was falling off the shoe.
@@akronmovementfamily7548 oh ok, did you test the new balance 220 aswell ? Cuz i couldn't find the 420 with mesh or the adistar racers, just with this plastic shiat xd, and i ordered the 220's then
@@Snitzel1 Yes, the 220s are alright. The grip is decent. They seem to be a durable shoe. My one criticism is that they are thicker than I would like. I prefer a shoe that I can feel things in a little more. But otherwise they were good.
I have question are basketball shoes ok for parkour??? since I am a beginner i dont know which shoes to use since the shoes you listed are not available
You can certainly train parkour in any shoe, or even barefoot! So don't let what shoes you have stop you... but basketball shoes are usually not great for parkour. They tend to have a less flexible sole, the rubber is usually specifically designed to have good grip on a basketball court, but they tend to perform poorly on other surfaces, and probably their worst feature is they are usually quite large which make controlling your feet and doing technical movements more difficult. If you are having trouble finding shoes to train in, a good place to start is with skate shoes or running shoes. These tend to be at least decent. It might be helpful for you to check out our video about parkour shoes for beginners! ruclips.net/video/z0JamFysq0Y/видео.html
They have been discontinued by Asics (just like every other great PK shoe ever) but I see they are still available on ebay in some sizes and colours. Hard to say on the shipping. But most of the pairs I've found have been shipped from Europe to the US so shipping can be $20 or more but it depends.
Lol... I'll address them in an upcoming video. All I'll say here is it says a lot that when you watch their training videos, most of the team isn't wearing their own shoe brand... That being said, they're really a decent shoe besides the fact that the arch of the shoe has no rubber on it.
I debated this for several months (hence why the video only just came out). In my opinion the strikes are (obviously) a superior shoe. However, this video is mostly about which shoes were the most popular in the community this year. 6 shoes stood out to me this year, but I had to narrow it down to 5. I decided to keep the vans in and leave the strikes out because while the strikes have become pretty well know around the US, I don't think they are common worldwide, while the vans have continued to be very popular all over. That being said... I'm open to criticism :)
Ollos are our #1 recommendation for beginners because they come in youth and adult sizes, they are affordable, they are easy to find, and it's cool to support a PK community organization. Check out our pk shoes for beginners here: ruclips.net/video/z0JamFysq0Y/видео.html
my own experience with Ollos is they have the worse grip in any shoes I've worn, that even a converse sneaker, tennis shoe, slippers are better. The cushion is the best around by a huge margin even till date. Probably their insole technology that they've been marketing. However, cushion doesn't mean anything if you're gonna slip and fall all over the place. It's so bad it feels like training in the rain on a sunny day. And as though you've stepped in oil on a rainy one.
if you dont have skill the shoe won't help, if you have some expirence the shoes can help boost the confidence in your grip and lead to better movement.

Is the foam of the vans ultrarange shoes softer than the foam of the farang elevate shoes?
Those farangs look really nice I definitely want a pair but and I'm for sure gonna get some aaron

classic nylon are a bit hard at first use but becomes much softer after some sessions

Which shoe has the best grip, the Farang Elevate or the Reebok Classic Nylon?
I would say the Farang has slightly better grip, but is a pretty minimal. If you land poorly, your foot will hurt. The grip on the Reebok takes a bit of breaking it, but then it's quite good.
Is the weight of the reebok classic nylon the same as the farang elevate? If not, which one is the lightest?
The Farang Elevate are definitely lighter than the Reebok Classics. They have a lot less padding as well.
Noice 👍
Please you make more videos like this
We have a big parkour shoe video that will be coming out sometime this year. We're working on it!
I jus need good shoes for framing lol I’m getting tired of boots
What is the best sole to have rubber foam or what please answer I am trying to get in too parkour and are Nike flex plus good shoes to wear
Nike flex has no grip but I think the vans ultrarange is a good shoe for a beginner.
Can you feel the ground better with the reebok classic nylon shoes or with the vans ultrarange shoes?
The ultraranges are a softer foam so you can actually feel the ground more, where as the classic nylons are quite thick and pretty firm so you don't feel much.
