Yes absolutely love The Great Siege of Malta... though the 1683 Siege of Vienna and especially the 1566 Siege of Szigetvar are might hold that title in my book, not to say anything about the Sieges of Rhodes & Famagusta, so many incredible events that I am so glad to see one discussed! ;)
I have their Waterloo game, 1815 Scum of the Earth. Yeah, it is a lot of fun. The solitaire mode worked well. I can't get over how amazing art is on the cards.
Production quality on this game is high and I really love historical games (which is what brought me to your channel years ago). I need to check this company out
This looks really interesting. I find the Hapsburg-Ottoman wars of the 16th century very interesting. Empires of the Sea by Roger Crowley is a very good book on the Siege of Malta, as well as the Battle of Lepanto. Agents of Empire by Noel Malcolm compiles original sources about the conflict in the Adriatic and Mediterranean in the mid-16th century between Venice and Hapsburgs against the Ottoman Empire and Barbary Pirates.
Empires of the Sea is an excellent read, and was one of my main sources whilst designing the game - Roger Crowley is quoted on one of the cards: 'In the astonishing summer heat hung the smell of stone dust and gunpowder, the buzz of flies, the stench of the dead.'
Thanks for doing this one. I acquired 1066, Tears to Many Mothers a couple years ago, slogged through one learning play, then let it go downstream for some reason (although I remember stumbling a lot on running the AI correctly in solo mode). Think I'm gonna dust it off and give it another try.
How does the quality assurance at the factory ensure that the 'Sesame Street Elmo 'tickle me' toy' is up to the right standard ...........????? ... ... .... ... Just with two test tickles ...
Great video! Thanks for sharing, and for spreading the word about 'The Greatest Siege in History.' :)
Thank you for the great game. I'd love to try 1815 Scum of the Earth.

The art here is really beautiful, for sure. Hope to play 1815 at some point.

Pretty cool game. I think you'll like it.

@@HallOrNothingGames Now I have even more motivation to get the game! Thank you.
Thanks for the recommends. I think I have a copy of the Crowley book somewhere, or I did before my last move.

Let us know how it goes. Thanks.
Own all 3 I think Waterloo is the best one but I’ve seen this series progressively get better with each game. I also like that you can mix and match
Great system.
@@TheDiscriminatingGamer it’s unique though it’s not for everyone I find the slower pace to be a bit more tactical
I just got 1 of these
We have this and 1066. Both are excellent.
Thanks.

Ha!
Never been into card games, played yu gi oh once using a friend's deck. Would this be a good beginner card game?
I don't think it's too terribly difficult. It is not a collectible card game like Magic.
1st! This looks fun
But far from best.
My only complaint is the size of the box in comparison to the components.
That's true. Big box.
