- In this video I'm in Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe. The baroque complex with the castle, the Hercules statue and the trick fountains was built at the beginning of the 18th century on the slope of the Habichtswald. As a unique cultural monument, the Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe was recognized as the 38th World Heritage Site in Germany by UNESCO.
The Löwenburg is a pleasure palace built from 1793 in Kassel's Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe.
The castle, built as an artificial castle ruin, stands above Wilhelmshöhe Castle in the southern part of the mountain park and thus south of the Wilhelmshöhe-Hercules castle line of sight at about 350 m above sea level. NN on the eastern edge of the Hoher Habichtswald. The Löwenburg served its builder Landgrave Wilhelm IX. von Hessen-Kassel as a private retreat and in 1821 also became his burial place. In terms of art history, the complex is considered groundbreaking, as one of the first important neo-Gothic buildings in Germany.

Grüß Dich Walfi, da bin ich wohl der erste, der hier kommentiert. Die Gegend habe ich auch auf meinem Zettel. Mal sehen, ob es dieses Jahr 2023 klappt. Deine Aufnahmen waren hier ja noch in HD. Aber alles gut gezeigt und auch erklärt. Gegenüber der riesigen Anlage, ist der Herkules selber, ja sehr klein. Daumen hoch Nr. 58 ist von mir. Gruß Rainer
Hallo Rainer grüß dich. Ja zu der Zeit hatte ich in HD gefilmt, die Anlage ist wirklich gigantisch groß und wunderschön, ich drück dir die Daumen das es dieses Jahr noch klappt bei dir.
