  • Welcome back to the channel!
    I was hoping to have more done but there's just a lot of sanding with more sanding ;) but !! we ran into a problem as you can see in this video
    we have ran into more rotted wood in the keel... So this video is just an extension of Episode 4.
    Just an update to show you all what's going on in the boat at the moment.

    Mate, unbelievable what some people do to boats, might even be a pro who has charged some poor bloke for that.

    Could use that combo matt tape for that keel, layer up a good few. You can get that tape from Trojan fibreglass. It's basically 1708.

      @@Fluid36 yeah that would work to make it a solid keel. Im still a little bit on the fence whether to go solid, fiberglass or composite material or hardwood or ply it’s not gonna matter too much because the whole boat is gonna be sealed

    If you open that Transom I can guarantee you it will be rotted mate, get a holesaw and you will see pretty quick.

      @@Fluid36 mate that is a top idea cheers I will do that cause I’m contemplating of just taking it out anyway as it feels a bit soft just on the bottom on the two back boards so I don’t know if the front board has been replaced just as a cover-up. You never know with this boat. Being the only timber left in the boat like I’ve gone this far. Wouldn’t hurt.
