I wanna share a pointless story even if no one cares! I met her once and didn’t even know who she was. I used to work at a tattoo and piercing parlor in the Bay Area and she had come in to get something done. She was waiting and I sat down next to her when a couple of my co workers as well as other patrons were looking at me funny so I put my hands up like what? 🤷🏻 I thought whatever and started watching TV on my ten ignoring everyone including her when she said “I like your septum, is that one piece or two?” I said thank you and went on to explain that I had stretched my septum like you would with your lobes for gauges to stack two pieces. She said it looked good on me, then proceeded to ask if it hurt? I said “No” and we talked about piercings and tattoos for a bit until my break was over then said “Well it was nice talking to you but I unfortunately gotta get back to work.” She said “Fasho, it was nice to meet you, have a great day!” and I said “You too!” We shook hands and I walked away. After she left all my co workers rushed over and asked “Do you know who you were just talking too?!” I said “No, who?” and they all blew up on me and said “Oh My God dude!” “What The Fuck?! 😡” “That was Kehlani!!!” “You shook her hand!!!” I was like “Oh, I’ve heard of her but never listened to her music. She’s nice” and went about my business. When I look back on it now I did notice some people asking her for pictures and shit but it didn’t really register to me as to why (probably because I was doing my job 🤦🏻) But I like to believe that she appreciated me treating her like a regular person and having a genuine interaction with normal conversation rather than acting like a total fan boy and going nuts. But in hindsight I totally should’ve shot my shot even if I got rejected lmao

Fr I see all these people turn 18 and get covered. TAKE YOUR TIME! you have so much time to get what you want and where and make sure it's done well. The tattoos I got at 18 do not fit the aesthetic I've grown into as I've matured into a woman, and I wish I could change some of them. It pays to be patient and allow yourself time to mature before making permanent decisions, I swear!! All of my friends who got tatted young feel the same way. We all have at least one tat we would gladly get rid of.

My Dad had quite a few tattoos. But none you could ever see if he was dressed. Like they were strategically placed on his arms and chest you would never know he had them. As he got older he'd say he wished he never even got tattoos. I don't even really know why.
my stepdad is a tattoo artist and honestly some people just handle it a lot better than others. i do notice a trend of women handling it better probably because of a higher pain tolerance i guess. some people start to pass out too

I used to want a lot of tattoos until I moved from NC to Norfolk VA and at the high school I realized there were freshman that had hand, neck, and face tattoos and I realized that they did this without a second thought of their future. I was just blown away by that, people acted like it was normal and it's not for 14 year olds to have hand and neck tattoos. FYI not one person with those tattoos went on to be successful. Unless you count fast food or stripping as successful. I have tattoos but all of mine are in spots that I can hide with clothes 🙃 I gave it more thought 😅
