Beautiful song. The relation between Page's melodic, eastern influenced guitar playing and Plant's soulful singing and beautiful lyrics is what makes this song wonderful
man its crazy how their music makes you fall more and more in love every time you hear it. might not sound as great the 1st time, second times it gets better etc. its mad
I love how Robert offers his hand to Jimmy - kinship, brotherhood - soulmates in music ! Robert had to hold Jimmy's hand a bit longer - just to ensure that Jimmy understood his heartfelt passion ! They both know that song kicked ass !
My wife and I saw one of their tour stops during the "No Quarter" tour, simply amazing. The whole set was so full of soul and emotion. They definitely were meant to make music together.
This is an amazing song, Jimmy's guitar is celestial. Robert's vocals make it a perfect combination of celestial and earthly signs of a celestial aura. They are trully the best mix of Led Zep.
Didn't really care for 90s rock in general, never really got into Nirvana, NIN, Pearl Jam or any of that stuff... THIS album, No Quarter, was my 90s rock.
Oh, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page,... Led Zeppelin are fantastic wonderful musicians!... I have no enough words for my feelings - I can't eat, I can't sleep, ... when I'm listening to their fantastic vocal, guitar, brilliant powerful sound filling all space, air and all my mind gets to their music entirely. I have big respect for Led Zeppelin from my first hearing them in 1972 and all the time still now! Thank You
what other band during the 60's and 70's rock as hard as zeppelin did, and then 20some years later also make a acoustic masterpiece like this. forever legends. every one of them, RIP Bonzo
It was the end of my first semester in college (last year) and I played music from this performance. At that particular night, I was feeling very relieved and at peace, in contrast to the incredible anxiety and stress and loneliness immediately beforehand. I listened to this for as long until I could not stay awake. floating in a bubble of paradise, knowing this state of reality's rarity and would pop soon after waking up to a new day. It was a haven to appreciate while it was around.
Absolute genius of Jimmy Page! Capo on the first fret of the 12 string and not sure of the tuning! A true master as only Jimmy can do it ! Lots of open strings and a fantastic melody!
GOD that melodic guitar tuning and playing is absolutely amazing, and Plants Vocals just make it that much more amazing. truly two of the greatest to ever live, and in part with one of the best Rock bands of all time, def the best of the 70's. this music will live forever long after they are both dead, just like sammy davis junior, sinatra, michael jacksons. they all contributed greatly to the art of music, and for that i am truly grateful for all the emotion and sweat they put into everything.
"Shall we dance and never stop. Take my hand and stop the clock, from turning over"...There is something so poetic and magical behind these words that always leaves me in awe. In my opinion, one of the best lyrics made by Robert plant!
it's so great to see Robert and Jimmy high-five like they did at the end The have to be the two best examples of Musicianship this world has ever seen.
No matter how heavy the lead is, the Led Zeppelin will never fall, crash and burn... It'll keep flying through anything in their way... With great people traveling through it, forever... Their spirits will rest in the Led Zeppelin forever... Rest in peace, John Bonham (Bonzo)...
No puedo creer, la precariedad con la que ese publico aplaudió al final de la canción. Acaban de hacer una obra de arte en tu nariz. es para aplaudir como nunca lo habías hecho o simplemente quedar estupefacto.. WONDERFUL SONG.!!!
I totally agree, It´s pretty obvious that Page and Plant - together with Michael Lee and Charlie Jones are more chilled, more mellow, more relaxed. That´s why I love Page and Plant more
Shall we dance and never stop? Take my hand and stop the clock From turning over And spirit weave, spirit bend In the move that has no end That we must follow Oh, that is why Show me your eyes, oh, light of the son Touch me with fire, my mind is undone All life conspire, my freedom has come I drift through desire, my wonderful one When you do what you do I can never, never, never Let you go
I think that Page, like Hendrix, made the guitar an amazing instrument. You said that he fuck the electric guitar, but that's not true, listen to "Whole Lotta Love" or "Heartbreaker" or "Dazed and Confused" and you'll see what is a genius. Page showed us the possibilities of the acoustic guitar and the electric guitar.
this song is one of the most beautiful i ever heard. I love Robert Plant he is a true artist and i love the path he started a path of search for the music essence and for us lucky mortals the way is still long.
I've heard people say Page is a bad musician, but he can't obviously be that bad if he can write such beautiful music. I personally defend Page because you have to have respect for the man, seeing as how he has written music which artists of today could never write if they had an eternity. Robert Plant is also a fantastic singer still.
I listened to "Whole Lotta Love" over the headphones in 1983 when I was in 8th grade. My life was instantly changed. I'd never heard anything like that. Been following them ever since, even though they've never officially reformed.
This song proves the pure musical genius/talent page, and to a dergree plant, have. It makes me sad that this duo is probably over forever. They could have made some more great music.
This is my fav song from Page & Plant's 2 reunion albums.. even more so than "Most High" (the single they chose to promote at the time). So beautiful...
God I LOVE these people! ..They have provided the anthems to my life..They never fail to produce the most incredible amalgamation of voice and guitar! Cheers Robert, Cheers Jimmy...Long may you continue!
Couldn't agree more. Love how he's pushing all the time; it's so much more brave than the crap out today. Soul trumps technique when it comes to rock. It's all about how it feels!
this is as good as any song page wrote in the past.Phenomenal.Incredible chords and harmony. And great lyrics.Steve Vai said that this song is amazing and that Page still had it.I think it is in the same tuning as Rain Song. Some completely nuts tuning
This song will own you for the rest of your life
UTubeChannel this, and the Rain Song!!!
And Kashmir
Amen. First class.
mystical.... magical... so beautiful... how lucky are we to have heard it?
Robert and Jimmy should always perform together, it's not the same when they're apart.
Beautiful song. The relation between Page's melodic, eastern influenced guitar playing and Plant's soulful singing and beautiful lyrics is what makes this song wonderful
I wish to go back in the past and see Led Zep live. Oh how wish I could see them at least once!
This, in my opinion, is the best original Page and Plant song.
Lyrics are great, Jimmy Page on guitar is awesome.
Jimmy Page is a FRIGGIN' GENIUS !!!!!!
man its crazy how their music makes you fall more and more in love every time you hear it. might not sound as great the 1st time, second times it gets better etc. its mad

his composition skills are comparable to masters of the past
dont expect mtv to ever know what that means
Jimmy Page is such a GOD!!!!!!!!!!! ON GUITAR! Everything he does is so WOW! HE ROCKS 100%
this song brings so much relief for the pain i'm going through my life right now long live page and plant ZEPPELIN FOR LIFE
I have no words to discribe this masterpiece! Amazing!
Jimmy's playing in this song somewhat resembles the intro to "Midnight Moonlight" which he did with The Firm in the 80s.
A hauntingly beautiful song.
beautiful song and beautiful lyrics. i must of listened to this a million times and i could listen another million times
IMO, Plant's voice is at its best during this era, his best.
This is my favorite post Zeppelin song by them. Truely an absolute masterpiece. They weren't great by accident.
Absolutely beautiful lyricism.
"Shall we dance, never stop;
Take my hand and stop the clock"
I love this.
Didn't really care for 90s rock in general, never really got into Nirvana, NIN, Pearl Jam or any of that stuff...

This is the best live version. Such an amazing song.

No Quarter Album/cd..is one of the very best ever recorded.
Long Live Zeppelin
Absolute genius of Jimmy Page! Capo on the first fret of the 12 string and not sure of the tuning! A true master as only Jimmy can do it ! Lots of open strings and a fantastic melody!
I was here at this concert it just blow me away the harmony that these two still have and show why they are entenal greats
Plant's voice shines in this song, jimmy is jimmy
Yes, incredible LIVE!! Awesome Awesome Awesome! Simply amazing! Everything these two touch together turns to gold (or platinum *winks*)
What a beautiful performance. This one makes me tear up.
Wonderful one is just one of those songs that, no matter where, can always soothe your soul. I love this song, one of my favorite lz songs.
MadLad it’s not a Led Zeppelin song. It’s a Page & Plant song technically.
GOD that melodic guitar tuning and playing is absolutely amazing, and Plants Vocals just make it that much more amazing. truly two of the greatest to ever live, and in part with one of the best Rock bands of all time, def the best of the 70's. this music will live forever long after they are both dead, just like sammy davis junior, sinatra, michael jacksons. they all contributed greatly to the art of music, and for that i am truly grateful for all the emotion and sweat they put into everything.
i love the ovation jimmy page has
Back when I could get excited about new music.
"Shall we dance and never stop. Take my hand and stop the clock, from turning over"...There is something so poetic and magical behind these words that always leaves me in awe. In my opinion, one of the best lyrics made by Robert plant!
I wouldn't hesitate to call this Zeppelin's best song... I'm amazed I didn't find this song until now.
it's so great to see Robert and Jimmy high-five like they did at the end
The have to be the two best examples of Musicianship this world has ever seen.
That main riff always reminds me of the Rain Song, this is such a wonderful piece of music.
No matter how heavy the lead is, the Led Zeppelin will never fall, crash and burn... It'll keep flying through anything in their way... With great people traveling through it, forever... Their spirits will rest in the Led Zeppelin forever... Rest in peace, John Bonham (Bonzo)...
This is so gracious... You almost can't wrap your head around how beautiful this song is. My god, how I love Jimmy Page :)
No puedo creer, la precariedad con la que ese publico aplaudió al final de la canción. Acaban de hacer una obra de arte en tu nariz. es para aplaudir como nunca lo habías hecho o simplemente quedar estupefacto.. WONDERFUL SONG.!!!
Robert Plant was my first voice love, then came Roland Orzabal. They are opposites but equally amazing (and good looking). They both live in my heart.
Music of the Elves of Middle Earth!!!! This is as sweet as it gets.
I totally agree, It´s pretty obvious that Page and Plant - together with Michael Lee and Charlie Jones are more chilled, more mellow, more relaxed.
That´s why I love Page and Plant more
Shall we dance and never stop?
Take my hand and stop the clock
From turning over
And spirit weave, spirit bend
In the move that has no end
That we must follow
Oh, that is why
Show me your eyes, oh, light of the son
Touch me with fire, my mind is undone
All life conspire, my freedom has come
I drift through desire, my wonderful one
When you do what you do
I can never, never, never

I can listen to Robert and Jimmy All day!
I dig how Jimmy's body keeps moving to the beat when his hands have stopped strumming :>.
That’s because Jimmy IS MUSIC AND STRUMMING AND GUITAR AND BASS AND DRUMS. That is why
Plant is my favorite vocalist of all time, hand down, there is just no equal.
I will never forget seeing this show at old Boston Garden..
A masterpiece. I was moved to tears. Loved it when Robert and Jimmy smacked hand at the end. Thank you for posting 😊 .
WOW. I cant believe I have never heard that before! That is freek'n sweet! I'm gonna buy the album now.
i love everything, the music, the lyrics, the sweetness, the softness.
love these 2 artists.
I've no shame. This song makes me cry. Every. Time.
I keep returning to this song. In my opinion, it stands with Zeppelin's best.
this song is one of the most beautiful i ever heard. I love Robert Plant he is a true artist and i love the path he started a path of search for the music essence and for us lucky mortals the way is still long.
His voice hasn't aged a day!!! Long live the Zep!!!!

These two men were destined to be partners in music making. Linked forever.

I've heard people say Page is a bad musician, but he can't obviously be that bad if he can write such beautiful music. I personally defend Page because you have to have respect for the man, seeing as how he has written music which artists of today could never write if they had an eternity. I listened to "Whole Lotta Love" over the headphones in 1983 when I was in 8th grade. My life was instantly changed. I'd never heard anything like that. Been following them ever since, even though they've never officially reformed.
What can you say ,,, MUSIC !!! Can't beat it !!! Hope the industry can mabe learn !!!
If this song has been recorded and released in the 70's it would have been a huge hit for LZ
This is the classic beautiful side of music that Robert Plant and Jimmy Page bring so warmly.
To anyone that doesnt have it, I highly recommend this DVD. Its awesome as an "extension" to Led Zeppelin. The songs and the arrangements are great.
