I didn't want my prayer time to become a religious ritual, so I started praying even when I'm watching tv or cooking. Specially at work. Even if it's just, Hi God, here I am, you're in my mind and in my heart. Thank you for the stories that I watch on TV, thank you for allowing me to cook for my family and thank you for showing me how important it is to be a servant. I keep it simple but I try to do it often, no matter where I am or what I'm doing. Always with thanksgiving ❤. God bless you all 🙏 🔥✝️
Actually, prayer is petition... It's not really about thanking God. Consider the Lord's Prayer and how it is petitioning God for our daily requirements.

Do you think all God wanted us to do was copy & paste a prayer from the Bible and call it a day? I don't think so, The LORD's prayer is a perfect guideline to how we should pray but it doesn't mean that when you pray, to just copy exactly what it says, but we are to follow it in our prayers.

I want to listen to gospel music, I want to bring God with me wherever I go, and tell God how beautiful the sky looks and give thanks to Him for allowing me to have my favorite snacks. I still take time to kneel and pray and read my Bible for sure, I just want to incorporate God into more of my life than just a small time in my day where I read the Bible and pray.
The hardest part of prayer for me was confessing my sins, especially a repeated sin. But I made myself do it; I needed to. I pray a lot and it's helped in my life to overcome difficult sin. Thank you for sharing this video and all the work you have done. God bless
this is me with smoking weed. The guilt from doing it despite the conviction causes me to feel like I’m not worthy. I’ve been pushing through and praying nonetheless and the conviction is stronger than ever. After 12 years of daily smoking, quite happily identifying as a “stoner” and not seeing anything wrong with it, praying and reading Gods Word has resulted in this intense guilt and I know in my heart it’s because God knows how much its negatively impacted my life and how He is all I’ve needed all along 😢 every night for the past week I tell myself tonight is my last night giving into temptation but I fail every time 😢
Me too. Especially as a high school student, there's weeks where I do repetitive sins and it lacks my confidence in prayer because I think I'm unworthy and I'm sometimes being anxious about the fact that I'm not able to overcome it. But Jesus helped me to get over it and I remembered that I'm saved through his grace and not based of my works. Amen 🙏✝️❤

It is difficult to pull away from a difficult sin; I would suggest finding a Christian who has experienced what you are going through and seek fellowship with them. I had to give my problem to the Lord before I could walk away, and it took me over a year of constant pulling away before I did. The Lord took away the addiction, not me, and it's through Him, and Him, alone that I am free.
As a baby Christian, I cannot thank you enough! I struggle with lustful sins, sometimes blasphemy, and a lack of motivation/desire to pray and Bible read and stuff, and so this has lead me to think I’m too far gone, unsavable, etc. I want, to want to change, and get healed 😢🙏
The Holy Spirit is the only one you should ask to help you overcome these sins. God is happy when we confess our inadequacy and ask Him to help us. Jesus died for all of us and is always willing to help each person at every point we are unable to please Him. He's waiting for you yo come with all these you have identified as your struggles and He will help you.❤
Im currently at the part where i dont feel like i read Bible enough or all the time but im trying to put God first and seek to please Him instead of me and to stay in the Word and sometimes it is difficult, because we as sinful humans make up excuses when it comes to God related stuff I also want to tell you that you are not too far gone or unsaveable because i was once there and im completely free from that lie from the devil, I was at a point where I thought that there was something I did that caused God not to forgive me or that it is over for me and thay God holds it against me as if God hears my apologies and prayers but just turns His back on me as if theres no hope, thats how i felt and that season i went through was the darkest season i have ever been through and it just miraculously ended, i just want to let you know that the thoughts about, you are "unsaveabale" or "too far gone" is doubts and lies from the devil and the more you entertain and let it stay, the more and longer it will stay. The Bible says resist the devil and he will flee from you, the devil wants to kill, steal and destroy, the devil will put doubts and lies into your head to steal the joy and freedom that the Lord wants you to have in Him, but resist the devil and he will flee from you. Just trust and believe on the Lord that He will bring you through it because, He will never leave you nor forsake you He is a faithful God and if He brought me through it He can bring anyone through it. Let me share the day that changed my prayer life the most. I was trying to grill something out back. Neither me nor my wife had grown up with a father in our lives so we did not understand how to get a charcoal grill going or sustained. I was giving it one last shot before giving up on grilling. I was struggling. I was getting upset that I was denied a father to teach me stuff (other things were going on in life). Then it hit me, God adopts us as his children. I now have a father. A dad. So I prayed just asking “hey you want to grill something with me? We can just hang out while I try.” It was at that moment I felt God move me to this one position and had me turn the grill’s holes too. It lined up just perfectly with the wind that had been blowing out what embers I got started out and now was fueling them instead. I just talked to him the whole rest of the time and he occasionally nudged me about something with the cooking. My family asked me to grill at least twice a week for the rest of the summer. I share this to say, pray while you work. Pray like you’re calling your parent while you’re driving home. Pray not as a ritual but as an act of love and humility. God talks back in the best ways.
I know most people won't see this, but for the chance anyone does, can you pray for me? I struggle with lust but I have a goal to get full marks on all the tests/quizzes i had this week. I have asked other people, and I know their prayers are effective because I already know i got full marks on one of them. I ask you to pray I get the goal and that lust doesn't hinder my goal. Just today I put some unnecessary rules on myself and made myself feel guilty for not praying right, and I thought to myself, I'm being dumb, right? But then, what if I'm not? I don't want to disrespect God! Glad I saw this, I was, in fact, being dumb. 😅 We can pray reverently with our heads bowed, and we can pray casually while we do other things, God just wants to talk to us and be in our hearts. I’m not sure where I learned it, but I’ve always considered them just simple conversation since I was very young and ever since I can remember. If you are still searching for the answer, it's by belief in Christ. Knowing He died and resurrected isn't enough, though. You also need to try your best to follow His commands, because demons also know He resurrected, and guess where they're going. But don't take that as a limitation. Christ is a safety net for you in your walk with God. When you fall, He is there to catch you and bounce you higher than before.

I was out for two weeks at school because i had my tonsils took out... Thank you for this video- I have been struggling with wondering why my prayers aren’t answered. I really want to go back to God, but it’s kinda hard when you’re surrounded at work in an environment where drama is very common, and I’ve been guilty to participate in the drama. I’m asking for prayers for my relationship with God to grow so I can find real friends, and better my relationship with my family. There are also times that I struggle with loving myself because of how much I pour into others. I truly want to know that God is there with me, even though when I don’t feel his presence. God doesn't always answer prayers the way you intend Him to. For example, if you pray for strength, He will put you through difficulties to build up that strength. Remember, you don't need to be involved in drama. I know sometimes you have no choice, maybe someone brings you in, or someone just says something you know is untrue about someone else. You *should* get involved to defend that person and make the other know he's doing something wrong, and if he still insists then disengage. God bless, my brother

Also, I'm feeling quite shy but is it okay if I ask people to pray for me, I have major exams coming up and I need to get all As to get my CGPA back up plus I have competitions I need to excel in, in addition, my spiritual growth is one step forward and 2 steps back, and sometimes when I try to pray, I feel guilty asking God for things when I'm not doing what he wants. We will have to walk by the spirit. 4. When we do lose sight of God‘s love, we might make try to either earn His love or make it as an assignment or a daily task. 5. We might create unnecessary rules when it’s supposed to be a relationship with God.
I don't know, it's hard for me to imagine prayer as a conversation, because it just feels so one sized. It feels like I'm talking to someone who's ignoring me because they just want me to shut up. It's probably a problem from my personal life leaking into my prayer life, but it just feels like I've done something for God to hate me.

I read some bit of Proverbs and noticed that there is repetition about obeying and treasuring up God’s commandments. my main issue lately is the last one, I was doing a prayer wall at new year, then I stopped because I realized that I would only pray when I wrote it on a sticky note. even now I still wait to get into prayer until after my little sister is asleep, I try to remember to give thanks and ask for help through the day, but it doesn't happen often. its been helpful to read my bible before I do anything else in the day though, I never imagined how helpful that would be.
I just talk to God like a friend a lot of the times. Something funny happens and I’ll joke with God about it right away in my head. It feels like I’m breaking the 4th wall of reality sometimes and helps me not take this world so seriously.

I have to bookend my days. I realize that if I do not start and end my day with Prayer, Bible reading, and Devotional.. my whole day is out of wack. That is a non-negotiable for me now. I do not always do it but I try my best to do it daily.
Really good vid with great insight and advice. I’ll pray anywhere at any time; however, I do have more “serious” prayer time when I wake up and before bed (typically the longest and most detailed prayer of the day). Morning prayer really follows no pattern nor the ones during the day, but before bed I generally follow the acronym: ACTS. This stands for: Adoration Confession Thanksgiving Supplication(s) There is never any time requirement I place on any prayer.. I’m talking to my Father and I know I can go as long as I need to but I’m not repetitive. Anyway, this works for me and hopefully it may help others. 🙏🏻✝️👑 God bless y’all!

I’ve been struggling to pray I’ve gotten to a point where I hated praying because none of my prayers have been answered and all I’ve been praying for is a closer relationship with God. And I’ve been just tired of repeating myself to God. I’ve been busy and tired from work. I can get to God on the weekends or my days off but on the weekdays it’s a bit harder. Because I also don’t like reading the Bible, it makes me feel bored and sleepy. And I’ve also felt like God doesn’t love me anymore since he seems to never wanna answer my prayers for a closer relationship with Him. And He is silent or quiet with me. And He doesn’t speak to me and nor have I never felt his presence before which has made me feel unloved and not good enough.

I still take time to kneel and pray and read my Bible for sure, I just want to incorporate God into more of my life than just a small time in my day where I read the Bible and pray.

The hardest part of prayer for me was confessing my sins, especially a repeated sin. But I made myself do it; I needed to. I pray a lot and it's helped in my life to overcome difficult sin. Thank you for sharing this video and all the work you have done.

this is me with smoking weed. The guilt from doing it despite the conviction causes me to feel like I’m not worthy. I’ve been pushing through and praying nonetheless and the conviction is stronger than ever. After 12 years of daily smoking, quite happily identifying as a “stoner” and not seeing anything wrong with it, praying and reading Gods Word has resulted in this intense guilt and I know in my heart it’s because God knows how much its negatively impacted my life and how He is all I’ve needed all along 😢 every night for the past week I tell myself tonight is my last night giving into temptation but I fail every time 😢
Me too. Especially as a high school student, there's weeks where I do repetitive sins and it lacks my confidence in prayer because I think I'm unworthy and I'm sometimes being anxious about the fact that I'm not able to overcome it. But Jesus helped me to get over it and I remembered that I'm saved through his grace and not based of my works. Amen 🙏✝️❤

@@kerrie101 I totally understand the guilt you feel. It is difficult to pull away from a difficult sin; I would suggest finding a Christian who has experienced what you are going through and seek fellowship with them.
I had to give my problem to the Lord before I could walk away, and it took me over a year of constant pulling away before I did. The Lord took away the addiction, not me, and it's through Him, and Him, alone that I am free.
As a baby Christian, I cannot thank you enough! There is so much fear mongering online when it comes to religion unfortunately, but this channel always reminds me that my relationship with God cannot be rushed. The Holy Spirit is the only one you should ask to help you overcome these sins. God is happy when we confess our inadequacy and ask Him to help us. Jesus died for all of us and is always willing to help each person at every point we are unable to please Him. He's waiting for you yo come with all these you have identified as your struggles and He will help you.❤

I also want to tell you that you are not too far gone or unsaveable because i was once there and im completely free from that lie from the devil, I was at a point where I thought that there was something I did that caused God not to forgive me or that it is over for me and thay God holds it against me as if God hears my apologies and prayers but just turns His back on me as if theres no hope, thats how i felt and that season i went through was the darkest season i have ever been through and it just miraculously ended, i just want to let you know that the thoughts about, you are "unsaveabale" or "too far gone" is doubts and lies from the devil and the more you entertain and let it stay, the more and longer it will stay. The Bible says resist the devil and he will flee from you, the devil wants to kill, steal and destroy, the devil will put doubts and lies into your head to steal the joy and freedom that the Lord wants you to have in Him, but resist the devil and he will flee from you. Just trust and believe on the Lord that He will bring you through it because, He will never leave you nor forsake you He is a faithful God and if He brought me through it He can bring anyone through it. And always remember Jesus paid it all on the cross (1 Corinthians 15 verse 3-4) (John 3:16)

Let me share the day that changed my prayer life the most. I was trying to grill something out back. Neither me nor my wife had grown up with a father in our lives so we did not understand how to get a charcoal grill going or sustained. I was giving it one last shot before giving up on grilling. I was struggling. I was getting upset that I was denied a father to teach me stuff (other things were going on in life). Then it hit me, God adopts us as his children. I now have a father. A dad. So I prayed just asking “hey you want to grill something with me? We can just hang out while I try.”
It was at that moment I felt God move me to this one position and had me turn the grill’s holes too. It lined up just perfectly with the wind that had been blowing out what embers I got started out and now was fueling them instead. I just talked to him the whole rest of the time and he occasionally nudged me about something with the cooking. My family asked me to grill at least twice a week for the rest of the summer.
I share this to say, pray while you work. Pray like you’re calling your parent while you’re driving home. Pray not as a ritual but as an act of love and humility. God talks back in the best ways.

If you are still searching for the answer, it's by belief in Christ. Knowing He died and resurrected isn't enough, though. You also need to try your best to follow His commands, because demons also know He resurrected, and guess where they're going. But don't take that as a limitation. Christ is a safety net for you in your walk with God. When you fall, He is there to catch you and bounce you higher than before.

Thank you for this video- I have been struggling with wondering why my prayers aren’t answered. I really want to go back to God, but it’s kinda hard when you’re surrounded at work in an environment where drama is very common, and I’ve been guilty to participate in the drama. I’m asking for prayers for my relationship with God to grow so I can find real friends, and better my relationship with my family. There are also times that I struggle with loving myself because of how much I pour into others. I truly want to know that God is there with me, even though when I don’t feel his presence. Thank y’all for reading this.
God doesn't always answer prayers the way you intend Him to. For example, if you pray for strength, He will put you through difficulties to build up that strength.
Remember, you don't need to be involved in drama. I know sometimes you have no choice, maybe someone brings you in, or someone just says something you know is untrue about someone else. You *should* get involved to defend that person and make the other know he's doing something wrong, and if he still insists then disengage.

I don't know, it's hard for me to imagine prayer as a conversation, because it just feels so one sized. It feels like I'm talking to someone who's ignoring me because they just want me to shut up. It's probably a problem from my personal life leaking into my prayer life, but it just feels like I've done something for God to hate me.

my main issue lately is the last one, I was doing a prayer wall at new year, then I stopped because I realized that I would only pray when I wrote it on a sticky note. even now I still wait to get into prayer until after my little sister is asleep, I try to remember to give thanks and ask for help through the day, but it doesn't happen often. its been helpful to read my bible before I do anything else in the day though, I never imagined how helpful that would be.

I’ll pray anywhere at any time; however, I do have more “serious” prayer time when I wake up and before bed (typically the longest and most detailed prayer of the day). Morning prayer really follows no pattern nor the ones during the day, but before bed I generally follow the acronym: ACTS. This stands for:
Adoration
Confession
Thanksgiving
Supplication(s)
There is never any time requirement I place on any prayer.. I’m talking to my Father and I know I can go as long as I need to but I’m not repetitive.
Anyway, this works for me and hopefully it may help others. 🙏🏻✝️👑 God bless y’all!

I’ve been struggling to pray I’ve gotten to a point where I hated praying because none of my prayers have been answered and all I’ve been praying for is a closer relationship with God. And I’ve been just tired of repeating myself to God. I’ve been busy and tired from work. I can get to God on the weekends or my days off but on the weekdays it’s a bit harder. Because I also don’t like reading the Bible, it makes me feel bored and sleepy. And I’ve also felt like God doesn’t love me anymore since he seems to never wanna answer my prayers for a closer relationship with Him. And He is silent or quiet with me. And He doesn’t speak to me and nor have I never felt his presence before which has made me feel unloved and not good enough.
