fun personal fact i used to have a hightop and was trying to get my dreads like polo g because of one of your videos where you said it looked like a hightop because of his hangtime.i dont blame you cuz it does but little me was so excited for dreads i grew 2 years worth of a hightop just to find out it was a burstfade/mowhawk after that i learned more about locs through this channel and outside sources.i started doing that because i wanted to learn about sizing parting and overall maintenance of dreads to get them exactly like polo g.my final straw for my hightop was when i was getting my hair parted by my auntie and she gave me a middle part which i don't really rock with due to polo g having 3 dreads in the front,when i wanted to change it my mom intervene instructing my auntie that i would have her up here all day in a degrading tone and to just do it.every since then i figure the only person who could make it the way i wanted was me and started my own dreads that are 90 percent exactly like polo gs from the cut to the parting and the sizing.your channel helped me out big time and for any one wanting to start or maintain their own get theeesssee -great locs crotchet hooks/or any but...come on support ya mans -great locs acv shampoo or any shampoo that is a clarify anti build up and residue shampoo - a 3 way mirror so you can see all angles -rat tail comb with steel/metal end -oils of your preference *great locs oil comes with the good stuff needed for growth and helps with itching and is vegan.i used it to grow out my back and now i just use a mixure of grape seed oil-because of sir cruise and helps prevent breakage as well as good fatty acids and helps with moisturizing vegan keratin oil- being the protein for hair caffein-activates inactive hair folicles and peppermint- i aint really look into it but it comes with the basic oils like almond and soy oil mostly use it for its smell though. also biotin-to promote the making of protein for the hair. be free to share any info as this channel has helped me alot. also mans has went through almost all dread types so i tryst him heavy as his info works. and remember all of our hair works differently. ...oh yeah and cop a durag-to secure your dreads over night bonnet- i mostly use it to cover my dreads that hang outside the durag at night so they're protected.being that just using the bonnet without dangling hangtime length leaves to mych room for my dreads to make a bedhair look. wave cap-just for then nights you not tryna strap down a durage or bonnet or for regular day use in the house since i dont know when i feel like sitting or laying down randomly ps-make sure they're all silk made.
oohh and make sure your hair products don't come with sulfate also learning how to do your own dreads helps like gunther said if you mess up you learn from it instead of blaming someone 💯

(I have a professional job, so I’m not tryna go through that ugly stage) Any advice or tips on what I should do?
So you first loc your hair up and then put it into one of these styles, they continue to lock up more and then I can take the specific style down and have loose ones again?
