    The spread on these lights is crazy and really shines on bigger tanks. With 1 light I saw almost a 4 ft spread on the sandbed.

    Everyone complaining about the price, radions are in the eu also alot more expensive then in us.. price of coralcare is €620 - €730 in EU

    I agree with most of the comments. Great video Thomas! Keep them coming! BRS is a great resource for the reef community! I still think the AI prime is my choice for lighting. my 2 cents.

    Mimicking the natural ocean light? At what depth? The ocean light spectrum changes with time of day, depth and latitude.

      Oled or plasma will give you more contrast and deeper blacks than LCD.

      This is a relatively new light, but the Gen 1 did a great job growing coral. Probably most notably, Terence's tank from Neptune Systems used Coral Care G1 lights 🙂

      There is a little bit of shimmer, but nowhere near that of Kessils or Radions. I suppose that could be a positive or negative depending on if you like shimmer or not.

      I know. Lights are so crazy. Nicrew got a new salt water light on amazon different wattages are different prices but I love mine. No dimming tho it's on a on/off timer. But I got a cheap light that does sun rise n I have that come on before hand

      I have 2x 2018 Coral Cares on my tank, Set Up another one with the evergrow it5012, but Sold it after 3 months.. the way it dims Up and down is horrible

      @@thomasgaal1908 for a $50 you can get the module that changes ramping from every 6 min to 1s and will let you use your phone to control it

      You mean the DIY Controller where you need to Open the lamp right?

      @@thomasgaal1908 you have to open the lamp to install any module in it. There is 2 or 3 on the market at the moment. I made my own with arduino WiFi board. plenty source codes around ready to be used. All you have to do is change the number of channels and outputs.

    Kessil can do all of this a lot easier.
    These lights are for people's big wallets

      I'd actually disagree, I think Kessil can do some of these things pretty well, but the spread and subdued shimmer of these panel style fixtures provides a lot less shadowing and more even coverage in a tank of mature corals. Much more like T5. To accomplish the same thing with Kessils alone would probably cost more. I am curious to see how the Straton from ATI compares to this fixture! I think it will be more in line with the bluer spectrum many reefers prefer.
