Here’s a suggestion! You could try combination purling. You wrap the yarn on the purl side clockwise instead of anti-clockwise (which is the normal way). It’s easier on your hands. You do knit through the back loop on the right side though, so keep that in mind. It really helped me with a testknit that had loads of purling. Thanks for the calculator stuff, we’re going on a holiday in the UK, and now I can easily convert to euros! ❤
You always pick such interesting projects, Lauryl! Can’t wait to see what you decide to cast on next, but I’ll vote for the Rachel Illsley. I cast on A Game of Croquet on New Year’s Day and would love to be knitting on one of her patterns at the same time that you are 🧶❤
I just love your 3day sweater, and hearing all about it 😊. I checked my calculator on my Samsung android, I do have a number of conversion charts! ....not currency though. My husband has a Google Pixel android, and he doesn't seem to have anything. Take care. I know that my anxiety level is through the roof lately. When I mentioned it to someone, they commented that we should remember that throughout the history of the world there have been difficult, scary, anxious times, and people made it through. Somehow, it strangely gave me a bit of comfort. I think what can make it worse is that in this day and age, we are bombarded with images, misinformation, etc., with social media that we didn't have years ago. On a brighter note...I have two rows and an icord bind-off to knit on my Garter Marler and it will be done! I'm loving this sweater more than I ever expected to ❤
Hi! That 3-day sweater is so gorgeous, I love it 😍 I’m currently bouncing back and forth between my husband’s In Stillness II sweater and a crochet ripple blanket. The sweater just has like 8 more inches on the body and the neckband to go, the blanket Is like 8” long… so it’s got a ways to go!
I'm so glad you enjoyed the sweater, it turned out so much better than I anticipated. 🖤 I don't think my husband will ever get a sweater out of me yours is quite lucky
Holy moly the conversion trick on the phone is incredible…..I can convert inches to centimeters 1x2.5 but the euros thing and everything else - like temp…..this is incredible!!!!!!!
Lauryl, your sweater came out so cute! It fits you perfectly. I love the colors and textures. I had no idea about the IPhone hack. Thanks for sharing! 🧶Heidi
I love your 3 day sweater, especially the pops of pink fluff 💕 I have the Danish version of the book, and I’ve been eyeing this for a long time, but I have been very intimidated by the bottom up construction (and because I’m still learning Danish and the pattern is def more a recipe), do you think this approach could work with a top down, in the round construction? The Lærke Bagger in me says to just try it, the scaredy cat perfectionist is trying to get a way out of it… Would love your advice
It’s a basic raglan sweater so yes I do think it can be done, Lærke likes the bottom up because she likes the finished look of the neckbands of her sweaters this sweater doesn’t have a neck band, I would keep in mind that there is some flat knitting around the neck. The other thing you could do is make any raglan sweater pattern with a large gauge and just use the vibe of the three day sweater, I have seen people knit other patterns but put the Lærke bagger twist on it, I really hope this helps Mel, I can’t wait to hear what you decide 🖤
So did you knit it in 3 days. I do not think you finished the time line…or did I miss it? I really like it and looks great on your, very form fitting and you can wear it! Yeah!
Androids can do most of those things except currancy, bummer, but I do love the rest of what it does. I always forget about it, thank you for the reminder.
Omg Lauryl, this hack was new to me! I’ve had an iPhone for years and this is the first time I heard about it. I should be paying more attention to the tips feature in iOS, lol. Thank you for sharing! Also, your 3-day sweater turned out great! While watching this episode, I’ve been working on a shawl for my partner. 🩷
Susie Im so happy I could share this hack I was constantly googling the conversions I have already used it a ton. Your partner is lucky shawls are so perfect for this time of year
🖤Hey knitting bestie, what have you been working on?

I think I might have to do the Rachel Illsley next, just so I can have a knitting bestie to knit along with 🖤

I did not know that hack and tried it but my iphone is soooooo old (still have the home button on the bottom) it doesn't have that option 😂😂
oh no ! you can still use Siri (I think) but it takes a little longer
Thanks for the calculator trick

I often forget little hacks like this so im glad I could remind you. 🖤
Might be fun for a beginner....
I love your podcasts and work. I especially love your energy and ability but to me the random holes look like a mistake.
