i love it. Innovation is 10000000% > than heritage. Things change, techonlogy changes, I got a full trellis Monster but it was time to let go of that boat anchor of a frame.
@@ducatinyc You are the master of the trellis frame Monsters on RUclips, if you say that they have to go.... there's nothing to argue about. Are you going to upgrade?
Hey man, could you provide some general thoughts/impressions about the new monster vs the scrambler nightshift in terms of feel, suspension, throttle response, and overall performance? These were actually the exact two bikes I was between for my first Ducati.
I've ridden both, opted to buy the Nightshift. Very diferent bikes, the monster is a scalpel in the road, similar to a Japanese in design, don't like the style. Brakes are very good, suspension is firm, basically a naked sport bike. The Scrambler is softer, more style, confortable and nicer in design. Coming from a CBR 600, I really wanted a more torquey motor and upright position, good for the Sunday's blasts in and off town.
@@hugobico2028 Awesome thanks. Yea, I also just placed my order for the nightshift. I agree, the looks alone were enough for me to make the decision, softer suspension will also be more appropriate for where/ the type of riding I will be doing. My only hope is that I’m not going to be looking for more power after a couple months, but I think the overall torque will satisfy that. But congrats and thanks for your input!
hey i’m 19 i’m about to buy my first bike. this is the bike i have narrowed down too. is it worth buying it brand new for 12k or do you recommend i buy an older monster for cheaper.
I own a ‘19 Scrambler Desert Sled and a ‘21 Monster Plus. I wouldn’t say it runs any hotter than the air/oiled cool bikes but it’s definitely a Ducati. On a hot day you will feel the exhaust and engine heat, in a very noticeable manor. On a cold day, you have a seat heater.
Good looking bike, and I'd buy it just for that reason. But i just can't get past the fact that compared to a street triple RS for example, it's not even close in terms of comfort or smoothness.
thanks for the honest review. I ride the Trident-660 & 390-Duke ... now looking for 3rd, and Monster/Supersport-950S is one of the options, along with litre-class inline-4 or V4 ... I would have loved Streetfighter V2 (L2) ... but let's hope it sees the light of day. Panigale V2 is too tall for me, I am 5'6" only. Superduke isn't sold in my country, India, or else, I would get it. How about Aprilia V4 Tuono ? .... Streetfighter V4 looks the part, but it's engine sound is like a V2 but with deeper tone, added base, only, that's it, not proper exhaust note like the Tuono V4. More than Monster, I like the Supersport 950S (white) because I am getting bored with Nakeds, but it's overpriced & underpowered for what it's worth. CB1000R is overpriced too, considering it is low on power (145 PS only), and weight too is on the higher side, 212 kg. Also, I don't like the clinically perfect & boring BMW S1000R-R. Don't want to repeat Triumph by buying another inline-3 Speed Triple 1200 RS
@@BurtoniMotors According to nowadays contemporary consumistic neoliberal society the term Naked is a well defined segment of the market which is a sports bike with no fairings and a more upright riding position...
Nice review ... but at £10K+ and making 111bhp this bike doesn't compete against the budget friendly MT07 (£6.8K, 70bhp) .. it's natural competitor from Yamaha is the MT09SP (£10K+, 119bhp) 😉
This bike can be a beginner bike. You can put it in Uban Mode which limits the horsepower to 75bhp and maxes out all the safety features. I canceled my 2023 Triumph Trident pre-order to buy this bike. I'll grow into this bike. Do better research.
What did you think of the all-new Monster? Innovation > Heritage?

Do feel that it runs hotter than other Ducati models? Ducati after all is known for this on all their bikes…So would be curious on your thoughts.

I don’t necessarily want my bike to be more stiff though
They're not. The 1200 has been cancelled. It's off their site as of this weekend.
i miss the styling of the old monster :(. But im always reluctant to change

This really does resemble the mt09 alot!
No it doesn't lol
Mt09 looks like a robot/transformer (which is not a bad thing)
6:38 it is not 35hp, but 35KW, so it gets to 50hp
The Monster back in the '90s gave birth to the "naked" segment...
The term naked is just a fancier word for a “standard” bike which has been around since the beginning.

My video, my experience, my opinion. I still don’t think it’s a great beginner bike.
The main thing here is to not grow into asphalt.
