I was looking for Bergamask and found Brutus. im glad. your review is fine and splendid and enjoyable and informative. i am happy to be a new subscriber and will recommend your reviews. so great. i will start with Brutus.

So happy that you found the channel Louise💫 For me Alessandro Gaultieri is a genius. Awesome perfumer and incredible marketer...he knows how to push the boundaries in both areas (and does it very well personally).
I've actually reviewed just about all of his creations: ruclips.net/p/PLl2get-JHWtc8nzTJFuLwhmp27jKu6rD0 (so you can binge!)
Thank you for reaching out Louise. I'm actually going to do a Mate Talk episode this week on the Nasomatto's, I'll be curious to know your thoughts on the ones that you've experienced👊🏽

Interesting story on the history of brutus, nice to hear. i agree with you its not a huge performer like bergamask or megamare, but its still very good and is a nice fragrance, i love mr gualtieri’s fragrances, a very nice review, take care sir

Citrus opening, Patchouli, musk, even a sweaty skin funkiness (just a bit), woods all the while Gentlemanly to wear as you say. Great for office, meeting, white shirt & tie, I wear it whenever I want wearing whatever I want. The musk, like in all OP's, is the driver. Love it. I wore Blamage today, hasn't caught on with me yet but I'll give it more time. OP line is my jam. Check the content coming Marcelo. All the best from Southern California.

This portfolio of videos will quickly become a bible for those interested in the brand, awesome work!! Q - is his signature musk very present in this one? I find with my others that it seems to be the musk that lingers most on skin

      @TheNicheFragranceCollector  2 года назад +1

Thanks Max; yes, hopefully these episodes can assist someone to explore further (or even jump into) the Orto Parisi range.
Interestingly the signature ‘musk’ is not as prevent in this fragrance. I’m sure it’s there, but has been seriously dialed back compared to his others in the range.
For me the woods, with spicy elements is what lingers most. Great to hear from you buddy

I'm having a problem with Alessandro's work, most of his perfumes I absolutely can't detect after 2-4 hours (excluding Black Afgano, but that's because I can't stand it). I really thought Bergamask lasts 3h on my skin, but lately I've noticed it's not true - in my experience (I tried all the Nasomatto and Orto fragrances) his work first of all makes you noseblind fast and completely (I wouldn't pick Bergamask up after 4 hours sticking my nose to the place I sprayed it on) and, I think, these need some time to mature with oxygen after you use the first sprays. I've used/shared with friends about 5ml of Bergamask already and it feels like it's getting stronger, much stronger with time.

    • @TheNicheFragranceCollector
      @TheNicheFragranceCollector  2 года назад +5

Great to hear from you Sebastian and loved reading your comments here. A few things I've learnt from my experience with Alessandro's work:
      - don't overspray any of these. 2-3 sprays is plenty to do the job (except Brutus, I do spray 4 times)
      - If you can't detect the fragrance, find out if others can smell it on you. Most of the time the answer is 'yes' and like you've mentioned you've gone nose blind on it
      - don't spray around your face, neck or chest. With all of these perfumes, I like to spray on my stomach, solar plex and arm (3 sprays) and I find that I can smell the perfume all day
      - 100% they intensify in the bottle. These perfumes (like a lot of the niche brands) continue to macerate in the bottle so the scent profile really amplifies
Thanks for reaching out and really appreciate your insight into this....thanks Sebastian👊🏽

I love the name of this fragrance and I like the fact the name is deceptive to the actual scent. Great presentation Marcelo and nice to know it ramps up when body heat increases. Just when it seems like its anchored near the skin it ventures out.. Game changer 👌

I’ve stumbled upon your channel in the past, checking out your xerjoff reviews but kinda lost the track, but somehow I recently saw some of your videos again when exploring the orto parisi brand and I immediately got stuck. I love the way you describe the meaning and backstory of a fragrance’s name and how you even go into history/historic events. It’s very interesting and enjoyable listening to you, because it reminds me of myself talking about fragrances with my friends/family/coworkers. Also the way how you perceive the scent and it’s facettes combined with everything else is just pure perfection to me and couldn’t get any better. I also wanted to remind you that there’s gonna be a new Orto Parisi fragrance launching in September or October I think. I’m excited for your review on it☺️ greetings from Germany

Hey, Marcelo, thank you very much for the review, which intrigued me so much that when I ordered other Alessandro Gualtieri fragrance, I also requested a sample of this.
The scent opens with pleasant notes of bergamot and lavender. The first 10-15 minutes had such a pleasant impact that I was convinced that I want to have this fragrance in my collection. For me there is a similarity with another fragrance from the "Nasomatto" range, namely, the top notes remind me of "Duro".
Shortly, after about half an hour, the perfume acquires another dimension, unfortunately, less pleasant for me. If you have been through Italy, also in the mountain areas, and had the opportunity to visit goat farms, then you will understand what I mean. For me, after the first half hour and until about 3 hours, the fragrance has a repulsive smell. It is a mixture of goat dung with hay and dust. Sometimes some wormwood notes come through. Obviously, this ordeal (for me) at some point ends (after a few hours) and the repulsive smell becomes pleasant again, with a warm and earthy finish.
I understand the admiration for this perfume, and I understand what you're saying that this perfume allows others to form an impression of you before the perfume affects this impression, but for me the resemblance to the repulsive smell of a goat farm mixed with the smell of sweat gives me a repulsion.
If, probably, I had not visited such places to feel that smell, I would not have made this association.
Thanks again for the review. I like them very much. Enjoy your tour of Italy!
PS: You are right, Alessandro Gualtieri is a very good marketer.

After viewing your review only last week of Megamare, I've been instantly hooked on the Orto Parisi line. Purchased 50ml of.. megamare, viridi, bergamask, terroni, and have Brutus arriving Fri. Didn't like seminalis unfortunately, the doughy cookie scent was a little off putting. Hope to try the remaining ones eventually.. Great value for money as longevity is rather good on my skin chemistry. Megamare is unbelievably powerful, but I love it! Thoroughly enjoy all of your content, the passion that you put out is addictive. Thank you. 😊

Wrong story, u are talking about the wrong character, its fron Marco Bruto, an important militar and politician from Rome. great literary works allude to this character as "the divine comedy", also the perfumer in an interview here in rome said :
    Brutus was not a talker,
He was precise, sharp, direct and never changed.
Mark Antony honored his fallen enemy (Marco J Bruto), declaring him the noblest Roman.

Patchouli is the cilantro of colognes. A tiny bit can really make a meal taste great. A little too much and you smell like an annoying hippy that no one likes.
I HATE patchouli by itself, yet all the scents I love say they have a slight patchouli in it.

If patchouli is not your jam then I would recommend this one to you.
There is a subtlety to this fragrance that doesn’t yell out “patchouli”
If you get a chance to test, I’d be curious to know what your thoughts are on this one Heber
      Great to hear from you👊🏽

I am waiting for the FedEx truck to drop off my Teroni. !!!❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊
Its going to be like owning my own little Caravaggio etching such is the perfumer's mastery and virtuoso skill with his materials....lolol..AT LEAST THAT is what you've led me to believe, Marcelo...😂😂 We will see.....(?)..

      I'm reading this in reverse🙄
I can see that this one knocked your socks off🫣 But like a true Caravaggio, there's more going on than the first glance. So like I mentioned in my last comment; hang tight, this one will weave its magic on you.
Plus all the Orto Parisi's are designed to make you scratch your head in wonder if this is a wearable perfume???
Awesome to connect with you @2WheelsForever....would love to know your name (if you're ok with that)
