this is your best puzzle yet! I love that the objects/environment/NPCs of the puzzle are thematically coherent, so one can get most of the solution just by looking at the overall situation going on. I am definitely using this one.

I'm just glad that Wally wasn't one of the scarecrows and that none of the pumpkins turned into a mimic when the characters reached inside to empty their seeds.

Nice puzzle, like the open end nature of what do they do with their weapons, and if they disappear into the corn field, what other consequences down the line might happen that the party finds out. That town down the road? attacked by a pumpkin headed scarecrow?
Funny you mention that. In both one shots I ran for Patreon (sorry we missed you for those games), they simply slipped into the cornfield. At the end of the game, I updated the players on their next mission... to track down the ones responsible for a string of horrific killings with knives, machetes, and claws. lol.
