    Usyk HW career is insane. He’s had 6 fights. Let’s review the numbers
    -5 of the 6 fights are against guys who are currently top 10 HWs(Chisora just beat Joyce and Pulev and only lost to top guys like Fury,Usyk, Parker).
    - He CLEARLY beat the 3 belt title holder in AJ twice.
    -He then beat Duboius in an amazing manner. Daniel didn’t win a single round. And then Daniel went on a tear beating Hrgovic and AJ!
    - He fights Tyson Fury is 4-5 inches taller than him and weighs 40 plus more lbs. Some were even putting Fury in the top 10 all time HW with his wins over Wladmir and Wilder. But Usyk beat him cleanly. Those scores are absolutely insane but Usyk won even without the knockdown he had atleast 7 clear rounds.
    The only way Fury wins is if Usyk ages. Usyk uses movement and speed which is the first thing to go. Usyk will be less than 30 days away from turning 38. So even if Usyk loses, he is still the 3rd best fighter of this century. With everything he did at CW and HW you can’t deny his greatness

    i do think fury has a chance, but for me as long as usyk doesn't get knocked unconscious or robbed i think he's likely to win again. usyk is just the better fighter, he's too smart, too slick and too tough, and his stamina and speed are unbelievable for such a big guy (particularly at his age). the size "advantage" also isn't very relevant in my opinion, fury's always struggled with shorter opponents while usyk has proven to be very comfortable against the big boys and easily able to slip in and out of range to land shots regardless of any reach disadvantage. fury isn't gonna suddenly improve his cardio or relearn all his boxing skills (which in my opinion he never fully recovered in his comeback and started neglecting after beating wilder), so i just don't see the path to victory for him. he can't outbox usyk at range and usyk has proven he can neutralise his wrestling and bodywork in close, so unless fury finds a way to crack usyk's iron chin (which i really don't see happening if aj and dubois couldn't) i think he's gonna lose again. i am nervous about the scoring though, i knew they'd try to rob usyk in the first fight and they very nearly succeeded

    Great analysis. I really don't know who is going to win. I am not a fan of Fury, though I acknowledge that he is a great boxer, but I have no idea what he is going to be like coming into the fight. Has he fully committed to training? Has he been putting in the hours sparring? Will he have learnt from his mistakes in the previous fight? I just don't know.
    What I do know is that Usyk will come in fully prepared, ready for war, and with a confidence that he knows he can beat Fury. You are completely correct in what you said about Usyk making fighters fight at a pace they are uncomfortable with, but I don't think it is just physical. The mental effort of always having to be on and to have to think of ways to fight Usyk takes its toll, and I believe that this was a point Tony Bellew mentioned after his defeat to Usyk.
    I think the beginning of the fight is going to be hugely important, whether Fury can get any control of the fight. If he can't I think Usyk wins, just because of his engine, but if Fury can somehow change the tempo of the fight he will probably win, but that is a big if.
    I know after my last couple of incorrect predictions, I am certainly not going to stick my neck out and say one way or another. Though I hope Usyk wins, just because I don't like Fury's bull.

Usyk now has a much better idea of how to deal with Fury's awkward range and style and he'll create more opportunities to score damage earlier in the fight slowing Fury down until the middle rounds when he starts to visibly hurt Fury consistently. Then turning out his lights within a round or 2 of that.

    • @timothyduggan8989
      @timothyduggan8989 6 дней назад +1

      I agree fully. It all comes down to Fury’s conditioning. The knockdown in the first fight was more a result of exhaustion than it was from the punches. If Fury wasn’t so tired he’d be able to keep his hands up and protect himself. Not to mention he could simply move and get out of the way. Right now Usyck has Fury’s number because Tyson gets gassed in his fights. Fury needs to put down his fork and put on his sneakers and start running. If Tyson had Marciano’s work ethic he’d be unbeatable. 8:42

      Usyk is OLDER. He has had 2x more fights than Fury. Usyk had over 330 fights before he even turned pro. It's as simple as that. Usyk is just a better athlete and hasn't abused himself with drugs and alcohol like Fury has.

    • @adamcohen2632
      @adamcohen2632 7 дней назад

      All true. Fury has never, ever trained the way Usyk does (no heavyweight does) and has taken too many big shots in his career that do permanent damage over time. You see it in the degradation of Fury's reflexes. Usyk has skills not seen in the Heavyweight division going back a few generations. What Rummy doesn't address is that Fury's physicality and inside game where he wears out opponents leaning on them is an impossible tactic to succeed with against Usyk. Usyk's footwork is too good to get caught there and when Fury tries his big grab / bear hug tactics he opens himself up inside to Usyk who has and will make him pay for it. Fury's best chance is to come into the fight in the very best shape of his life. What are the odds of that happening?

    They say evreything can happen in boxing witch 8/10 is true (depending on boxers and time/place), but unless Tyson Fury double-down on his classic dirty-boxing by using his massive mass to weight-down and lean over Usyk or rabbit-punch Usyk or hold-and-punch Usyk or low-blow Usyk, I don't see it happen for Fury to win a clean victory.
    Oleksandr Usyk is a very-rare breed of boxing tallent and had from day 1 Fury's number = Why he so badly wanted to fight Fury beside he held the WBC title, the final pice to unify the HW crown.
    Usyk out-boxed Fury by all means and was on his way to KO Fury in the 9th round if the referee had not illegaly jumped in between despite Fury had not touched the canvas with a glove or a knee as only way he could have done so was to WAVE OFF the fight in favour of a Usyk win by a TKO contest. At one point in the middle rounds, Fury was schooling Usyk. Usyk couldnt get in range to punch due to Furys catching on the way in. Fury was placing his punches with precision. Not until that left hand that hurt him did the momentum shift. But we all know Usyk isnt gonna just come with the same old gameplan either. If Fury has a great camp it will be 50/50. The problem is you never know with Fury what shape he will be in. The fight is right near Christmas when all his friends and family will be getting drunk and celebrating. We always know what Usyk will bring - I'm predict Usyk on UD this time.

    The IBF title is literally the most ridiculous title right now. Fought out between two boxers who the true world champion has already defeated. Actually, these two were basically fighting for third place in a world championship, but the winner can somehow still call himself “world champion”. What a farce! And this means no disrespect for the great and honest figthers that Joshua and Dubois are!

  • @nofam
    @nofam 6 дней назад +1

    Great vid as always Rummy. I don't see it being that close to be honest though. Unless Usyk has gotten old all of a sudden, his legs will still be good enough to win him this fight like last time. Like all exceptional fighters, Usyk wins by taking away what his opponent brings to the table. He nullified Fury's size advantage with his positioning, and is fit enough to start moving through the gears later in fights. UD is the likely outcome, but if Fury is shopworn we could see a stoppage.

    Most of the analysis I've watched or read about the rematch are mainly focused on what Fury can do to change the outcome of the fight, but what about Usyk? Maybe some experts are underestimating Usyk's ability to learn from the first fight and make adjustments to beat Fury again even in more dominant fashion. Now that he shared the ring with Fury for 12 rounds, I'm sure he has downloaded a lot of info about the Gypsy King and we all now he's a high IQ operator, maybe like no other fighter in the world right now

  • @JasonMarshMusic
    @JasonMarshMusic 6 дней назад +1

    Thanks for the vid. I don't agree with the scoring in the first fight. I thought Usyk won most of the early rounds and should have been given a unanimous decision. Also, I think if you can get out-boxed, you can get out-boxed twice. Makes me think of my favorite fighter, Pernell Whitaker. He fought a skilled boxer, Buddy McGirt, for the welterweight tittle, and outclassed him. It was even worse the second time they fought. I'm sure Fury downloaded some info after fighting Usyk, but Usyk now knows about Fury as well.

    Fury was saved in the first fight. He was the lightest he had been in 5 years. He trained hard. Usyk just took a few rounds to figure him out and adjusted. It's Usyk's strong point. I'm open to being wrong, but I think we see the same fight again.

    My guess is that Usyk doesn't employ his usual tactic of solving an opponent (he solved Fury by the end of 4 rounds) then letting them exhaust themselves trying to unload everything (as Fury did) then Usyk has a break and invokes his round 9 and 10 assaults (as he did against Fury). Instead, I just suspect he repeats everything but just starts hammering Fury non-stop for 6 or 7 rounds (not dragging them into deep waters) and it's stopped.
    Judges will have Fury ahead by 8 rounds but its over before it gets to them.
    *cheers to Rummy for pointing out both deserve a LOT of praises for taking that to the final bell that way.

    In the long run up to the first fight a lot of the Fury supporters would not entertain the idea that Usyk was different to all the other people Fury had dispatched, this included his manager and hangers on team. I agree with Rummy the relentless pursuit of Usyk is too much for the giant, his agility and ability to go the distance was the difference. The first fight was absolutely fair to all parties, referee free and fair, some of the past fights with Fury involved a lot of man handling arm around head stuff, have I never seen that come from Usyk in any of his fights he's a real straight shooter in my view.

  • @JackRascal
    @JackRascal 7 дней назад

    Things always seem to get worse when someone starts to dominate Usyk, he seems to kick it up another gear. There was a patch in the figlht as you talk about where Fury was able to land at distance. His arms are so much longer he can hit Usyk when he's still sat on his stool. That factor leads me to edge towards Fury, given that Usyk has to do more at base level to compete. Fury's stamina is usually better than it appeared last time, unless it was just Uysk wearing him out.

    Usyk does tend to dial it back during the mid rounds. I assume he aims to maintain these rounds while downloading data on his opponent. He then ramps it up when his opponent either tires out or starts finding success. You saw this whenever AJ had a strong round, Usyk stepped it up and reminded him who's in control. Or once he has you worked out, he goes to work. Bellew, Chisora, and Fury were the same. That's why I find it hard to judge how much success Fury was actually having in those rounds. To me, Usyk was just in maintainence mode and wasn't in any real trouble. Perhaps an uppercut or two rattled him a bit, but that was it.
