I just use the auto shotty on their feet they dont have great bloom and only have 15 bullets in every mag so its really easy to get up close and just work your way around their shield.
The sniper this season is getting unbearable for me, I didn't like the heavy sniper at times but now this sniper is just better in every way, everyone carries it, and can still one shot
Ive been playing squads, and ive had situations where our team is constantly getting pressed by the same team. Our teams will fight, there will be 1 survivor that revives the team, and they come back for more. There are some people that just really want that medallion. There are also people that will carry a medallion on a team, but not in solos.
In my opinion, the map feels too wide open. Very few objects, props, huts etc, between areas. If you don't drive around in a car, you're a sitting duck. POI's are boring and all feel the same, so I don't really care where I land. It's boring having the gameplay funnel people into getting medallions and mythic weapons. Same repetitive gameplay loop as the vault and loot Island seasons.
I enjoy the riot shield, not to just hold it all fight but for rotations in open areas or to block snipers. Can also be good with the pump to hit big damage and block there spam shotguns

If you are exposed to the enemy I think it is best to switch to a spray weapon for damage inbetween pump shots. If you are playing off of cover you can just stay behind cover inbetween shots and only peak to shoot.
I've been enjoying Chapter 5. I feel like I have more encounters. I like the timing and progress of the storm. ARs are great again. What's not to like?
What's not to like? That ARs are "great" again. Not only ARs, but the weapons are generally stronger, making the time to kill much faster. The ARs this season shred, and they can be customized to be even better. I dislike strong weapons since I like slower TTKs than what we currently have, and weapons with relatively high TTKs like the sniper should take more skill to use (the sniper with a slower bullet travel-speed, and without 3 shots that can insta-kill as higher punishment for missing). This brings up another point of balancing. Weapon attachments should be more balanced, as to not make or break a weapon. Say you have an AR or a sniper without a scope, people would likely choose another AR or sniper *with* a scope, regardless of their rarity. Now, a sniper with a scope really should'nt be in a game, because it breaks the weapon, but an AR with a scope is so much better than without a scope because it's basically with the controllable recoil over the random bloom. I think that if every weapon can get an attachment, they should still have the same amount of bloom, so it would be a choice, and not a must to have the scope. That's my only complaint this season.
My biggest complaint and why a lot of people I know stop playing altogether is the guns having bullet drop and travel time instead of being hitscan. It completely screws up the whole Fortnite formula.@@erezsolomon3838

I post the first game that I think was good. Some people consider vids like this lazy but they typically take more work than my regular videos because a lot can go wrong like the players we spectate arent decent or play in a pretty boring way etc and if I just spectate match after match the game quality just gets lower so usually I like to win a game before spectating but doing that 2-3 times back to back to not get a decent video is pretty time consuming.
The Ranger Pistol is great, but the ARs are insane this season. If only the pistol was hitscan... I would definetely think it better, but right now there's no advantage on using it over an AR

I have fun using the sniper with the holo scope at mid range, but yeah, the abundance of sniping gets to be a little much.

It shouldn’t have a gun! Let it cover your back for taking an inventory spot or you can “use” it and get say 40 damage per mellee?

Season 5 is so amazing. They need to clean up a couple things (riot shield, sniper spawns, early game weapon strength) but overall so much fun

Another way to beat riot shields, get them into five tick storm and have them die 5 meters away from exiting
