Canadian here. I have never understood why, for all the altruism I see in American Hollywood movies, and here in speeches by politicians, you have allowed yourself to be purchased with PACs and SuperPACs. In Canada, it was actually a conservative prime minister who clamped down on large donations from individual groups; not surprisingly it was actually targeted at unions but it still applied across the board. I stand to be corrected on the figure here but I believe it was Australian that just passed a law restricting political donations to a maximum of 20,000 Australian dollars. That's approximately 17 or 18,000 American dollars on a good day.

Hello Vic. I must say I had a very difficult time finding the details of the march. I finally found it in a Newsweek article dated 2/3. I don't use Instagram if that was how the information was being disbursed. The Dems need to get a bigger megaphone and wider net. I found nothing on the Dems website for our state, and nothing in the weekly newsletter I receive. Disappointed.
An example of what you are talking about: Rahm Emmanuel was a Democratic Party gatekeeper on Congressional campaign funding when Tim Walz decided to run for Congress. Emmanuel would not fund Walz even after Al Franken told him Walz had talent and could win (flipping a red district). Franken gave Walz money from his own campaign account, Walz started showing up in polling, and Emmanuel finally gave Walz a stingy allotment. Walz won and kept winning reelection for 3 or 4 terms, before running for governor of MN. Rahm Emmanuel is a poster boy for what went wrong for Democrats. He also became Obama's chief of staff after his negligence of congressional campaign support.
I’m very unimpressed with Rahm Emmanuel, and your comment adds to that impression. Thanks for telling that story. From a Minnesotan who is loyal to Tim Walz- he’s the real deal.

Well, lets just wait and see what he does first. This whole GOOD BILLIONAIRE statement has me worried that nothing is going to change in the DNC. Billionaires want one thing, POWER and they use their wealth to gain power over the masses through lobbying and donations. IF the DNC can't run without Billionaire money then nothing has changed. This new Chair needs to build from the ground up not from the wallets of GOOD BILLIONAIRES.
