Awe Jasmine you broke me. I was choked up, but as soon as you started so did I. All of you did such an incredible job. I loved getting to see a story told through your collected culture. Desiquest will be missed.
Incredible work--the storytelling, the fits, the minis, the whole production is first rate. All the emotions. PLEASE announce a second season (maybe featuring Baccha?!)
Such an incredible Actual Play series. The love that’s gone into it from everyone in front of and behind the camera is evident. Brilliant storytelling from Jasmine that weaves in a culture I’m personally unfamiliar with in such a beautiful way. Both entertaining & educational with superb RPing from everyone that joined the table throughout. Congrats all on an excellent season.
This entire production was a great take on a desi DnD setting! Gives me a lot of motivation for the One shot I'm trying to host for my Cousins this summer! ❤️
Amazing series! I have enjoyed every episode. This was truly a new and unique experience to watch. It was very obvious how much fun you all were having. Jasmine I have watched (as far as I know) every ttrpg show you have done and you are consistently fun to watch. You are a great DM. I look forward to more from you.
How do I join the chant for season 2???? I'd love to see these characters have more adventures! Murkha "Oh, I'm doing good, I'm just living in a fire tunnel" lol and "my reflection looks absolutely incredible" extra lol Laddoo Auntie and Sitara making me tear up at the end there ("THAT is the person I'll stay with 😭but also the comedic timing of "it was in the other one?" and "I can hit people with any shoe"🤣). Ash's finale Inflict Wounds was amaaazing!!! Jasmine that ending speech 😢❤ What absolutely stellar cast, guests, and crew! Amazing work and I hope everyone is so so so so SO proud of the incredible thing you've all made together. THANK YOU for sharing it and here's to more in the future!!
So glad you enjoyed it!! If you're on the email list for DesiQuest you'll get all the updates for a potential Season 2 (go to desiquest.com to sign up if not)
1:24:46 I noticed your Arrested Development reference. This was a fantastic show, you can tell the amount of love and passion that went into it. I can't wait for a second series.
Lots of love from Australia! Watching live release on my lunch break. Thank you all for such a brilliant show, have loved every moment. Best wishes to you all! 😁
Desiquest is incredible! Thank you for keeping it available, as I've only just discovered it. Thank you for amazing storytelling, tying culture into TTRPG, and making it truly your own. I hope Desiquest comes back...after all, there is still more to do!
This first season was amazing! You all did an incredible job 👏 Please tell me there will be a Season 2 🤞 and maybe "The Adventures of Baccha" detective spin-off show.
what a journey 💖 thank you so much, everyone! i instantly fell in love with the world and the characters, i loved learning about the culture and gosh, i'm going to miss it :,)) the finale and jasmine's speech made me tear up, just incredible work and lots of admiration for the whole team
I've rarely enjoyed a campaign as much as this one, and these characters!! love me some Laddoo Auntie! And so culturally involved! Great DM'ing... KUDOS!
Rules notes: 13:30 - A nat 20 automatically hits on an attack roll, regardless of AC and modifiers. (And nat 1 automatically misses.) This is separate from it being a crit: even if a grave cleric or adamantine armor or something prevents it from being a crit, it still automatically hits because of the nat 20. And a champion fighter that crits on a 19 doesn't make that an automatic hit. (Some tables house-rule that nat 20s and/or nat 1s are special on ability checks and sometimes saves. In 5e rules-as-written, it's only attack rolls.) --- Hellish Rebuke is a reaction spell. Legendary actions are things a "boss" enemy can do between turns, not reactions. But I guess you could homebrew a monster that can use up one of its legendary actions per round on Hellish Rebuke instead of spending a reaction normally, or something like that. Or as the only way it can cast Hellish Rebuke. And yes, wildfire spirits are fire elementals, immune to fire :) Scorching Ray damage is 2d6 per ray. I'm not sure if the +7 Anjali added was her spell attack modifier or what. Fortunately even the 12 she rolled on 2d6 was enough to kill the target so it didn't matter. (I think they're only level 5. At level 6, she'd get an extra 1d8 to add to the first fire damage she does on a turn while her wildfire spirit is out.) --- RAW, Divine Smite only works on *melee* weapon attacks. But ranger/paladin is a fun multi-class that's probably not OP if you don't take feats like Elven Accuracy for more crit smites. --- This channel divinity confirms my guess that Ash is a Life-domain cleric. The healing can't bring people above half HP, but it's quite a lot of total healing and great when multiple people are low. He can do it once (per short rest)? So they're level 5. Level 6 gives you 2 uses per rest. And it's not a spell, so yes it combos great with Spiritual Weapon. And nice, 1d8 + Wis (+5) = 13 is max damage. --- 40:45 - Bless should still be active on Auntie. It would only end on her if Ash lost concentration on it, e.g. if *he* got knocked unconscious. If she'd fully died and been revivified, there might be some question, I'd have to google that. But just going unconscious? She wasn't concentrating on bless (or anything else; she was raging), the caster was. And Bless itself doesn't say anything about special conditions for ending early on a target (unlike e.g. invisibility.) RAW rage ends when you're knocked unconscious; Jasmine allowing her to continue a frenzied rage instead of having to spend a bonus action to spend a new one (and having a level of exhaustion from the first one ending) was a generous way to support Luis's narrative RP about what his healing arrow did. Losing Bless instead is a smaller penalty but partly balances out that rule-of-cool bonus. --- 48:40 - Legendary resistances are totally separate from legendary actions. Most creatures that have one have both, usually 3 legendary actions per round, and 3 / day legendary resists. Spending a legendary resistance doesn't cost anything in the action economy, it just turns a failure into a success on one roll of a saving throw. (Just like making a saving throw in the first place doesn't even cost an action, despite narratively ducking and covering from an incoming fireball for example.) That's RAW; Jasmine may be intentionally homebrewing it if she doesn't like the (lack of) narrative explanation for how a creature would know it's spending a resistance. Or some mechanical balance reason. --- 1:04:00 - RAW, drinking a potion costs a full action, or to administer one to someone else. (Not a free object-interaction). A common houserule is that you can drink one yourself as a bonus action, especially at larger tables: when it takes a long time to get back to your turn, spending your whole turn drinking a potion sucks. --- Hellish Rebuke is a reaction to taking damage; normally you have to survive the damage to be able to take the reaction to cast the spell. But narratively, this isn't an ordinary mortal; maybe the body exploded in fire as it ran out of HP, or the spirit flailed around some. Inflict Wounds is a touch spell (big risk for the life cleric to run up and cast it!) Ash should get a dex save to take half, but maybe they didn't bother because either way he's unconscious but not insta-killed by going to negative max HP. ---- Very nice wrap-up to the campaign! Jasmine did a nice job of putting a finger on the scales (metaphorically) to make combat feel risky and dangerous, but still have the heroes survive. e.g. a generous ruling or having an NPC do some healing when some unlucky rolls had the party in trouble.
Awe Jasmine you broke me. I was choked up, but as soon as you started so did I. All of you did such an incredible job. I loved getting to see a story told through your collected culture. Desiquest will be missed.

Amazing-such a wonderful show, and a delight to watch. Congratulations!
Amazing Journey overall....I hope one day I can have a live session with this level of pageantry
Really beautiful. So glad I watched this.
Thank you
You're welcome
Not the chappal 🤣
pausing at 9:06 min to say, i think there was a miscount: 7+5=12, not 13. fingers crossed that 1 point won't be fatal later.
Season 2? :)
