I just got the Shimano vanford 1000 my only complaint is I don’t like how thin the bail feels. Compared to say that Daiwa 1000 size LT series reels they’re a lot more beefier…But everything else about this reel is on point.
Right on! Yea it’s helps with it being lighter, everything is a compromise Daiwa reel maybe be heavier which effects sensitivity on the bite! I’m liking it too though! Thanks for watching GET MADE
Awesome video Mike. As you know I have the Vanford 1000 and got to break it in this past friday. I love how s light and smooth it is. I don't have anything else remotely close to compare it to. However most of my 1000 reels are lower end Shimano reels. I love then all buy this one is awesome. You get what you pay for I guess.
Hi Mike, You are probably going to say yes but can the C2000 Vanford spool fit on the 1000 Vanford Reel? If you could take it off and put it on the 1000 reel, that would be great! I suspect the C2000 has a different rotor to the 1000... Cheers for a great review

Stick with the 2000, I’ve used mine on my dragonfly so it will be ok with your elixir! Anything bigger is for other species. If your catching regular trout you’re fine!

I know the handle is removable. But Can u tell me if the handle will fold when u loosen it half way???????? I know the stratic handle folds when its loosened. For storage and transportation purposes. Thank you

The 2000 has the long stroke spool which I don't believe cones in the 1000 and 500 I forget. Got one myself. Tight lines!
