What a trainer absolute pillar of the sport how could you not love jim Bolger never be another like him
World class trainer
Thank you so much Racing TV for such an interesting intelligent hour with the grand Jim Bolger such a gentleman and a master trainer listening to him here its hard to believe this razor sharp straight talking master of his trade is approaching his 82nd birthday.
Terrific trainer. Really enjoyed this. Alot of top end group one performers he trained. Lots of multiple group one winning fillies to some top class mid 130s colts like St jovite, new approach. I'm fairly sure teofilo would have been absolute top class 3year old also particularly over middle distances. Proving to be a very good sire also. Also not mentioned amoung others polonia group one winning sprinter and good. Also noora Abu the way she improved through the ranks one of my favs.
Excellent interview an amazing number of wonderful horses
I backed poetic flare in the guineas. I knew that when Jim bred him it was to target the 2,000 guineas and the plan come off at 18-1
Top man great trainer
Trained and sold the winner of a Melbourne Cup also. Great trainer stretching the extremes with breeding his own stock. I think if you told someone today to breed and own the horses they’d say you where crazy.
But He didn't train the winner of a Melbourne cup
@@robertdelacy3434 he did train him Robert, your reading into it too much. And “sold the winner of a Melbourne Cup”
@@JoeDoylePhotographer Joseph obrien trained it an he didn't own it when he sold it godolphin did

One of lrelands all time great trainers was in the Curragh when st jovite won the derby jim had a five timer the same day harry dobson was the owner of two or three that day magnificent trainer 😊
Bolger is very possibly the best trainer of today, he just doesn't get enough good horse.
No he's not 😅
@@robertdelacy3434 It was a year ago I posted and he's been a little quite lately, but history has shown that when he gets a good horse it's in as good as hands as any other trainer around today.
@@nightowl7459 even a year ago he wasn't. Nobody will touch him after the doping allegations he should retire
@@robertdelacy3434 He still has the same owners? And if that is the case, it's quite a shame, maybe that's why we will always have doping and people too scared to speak out? I just think he's like a lot of trainers when they get to a certain age, they lose many of their old owners for natural reasons and they start to wind down.
@@nightowl7459 godolphin got rid of him really quickly after he said it
Doesn't suffer fools great trainer.
Mellish, why didn't you smile when you were shaving this morning, you would have got it over and done with or take a leavf out of fran Berry's book.
Such a shame "Gentlemen Jim" fell asleep during Teofios monster drift in the Guineas, just a day before he was coincidentally pulled out injured and retired. Most unfortunate.
