Yea its a great spot, I think the first time I went was when my cousin took me with my little suzuki quad LT80. About 29 years ago! Probably wasn’t allowed back then either but hey ho! My first taste of the open road!
You've done a terrific job with all the mods, she's looking like a true old school scrambler, well done! (I didn't know about that hidden bit off the Woodhead Rd, it was a busy day, maybe Richy Vida went by on his Africa Twin!)
Thank you kind sir. Yes its well hidden that little bit and first time I've been in, ended up going back the same day for a picnic! Great place for bike spotting.
@@DormanDiaries I'm in idiot you did say in the video now I listen again... I'll have to make a video and give you credit for the indicator mods, thanks!
Absolutely well done with your bit by bit build, to your taste but I think it looks great . I like your SUV remark or REMAKE I love your how to videos , I do not have an R.E.
Very impressive stuff and love the quality of the mods... Suspension upgrades are excellent, well thought through and perfectly machined my the mysterious ‘silver fox’.. Sounds like you need some leg extensions pal... how would you get on with a big Tiger or GS? 😜
Thank you... in fairness it’s probably lower than my last bike its just with the weight of it it’s reassuring to get ya foot down. Once I’ve extended my kickstand I’ll be happier as easier to get on and off then
A fellow over in India, art of unwinding, found out that Himalayan damper rods were a drop in fit for his scrambler build. I’m thinking of trying it out to increase my fork travel and rake. You could always add lowering spacers to split the difference. Cheers from Washington state!
Very interesting, you could do that and just let them up through the mounts 🤔 I really like the revival build I bet thats fun but my feet would be a foot off the floor!
@@DormanDiaries Lot of great riding around here, especially the North Cascade pass. 75 miles of a winding mountain road with no towns in between. Climate is just about the same as Northern England as well.
Yep, that’s a lots of mods, the one I agree 100% is the golden Royal Enfield logo instead of the ugly stock one👍🏻, question: how could you sleep at night having that ugly dent on the gas tank?😟
Nice one mate. I have a tire question, since I’m looking to change mine too into a scramblerized version. Is your rear size a 150 and does it have enough clearance to the sides, particularly the chain side? I like the bridgestones but leaning more for the Pirelli scorpion rally str right now. Just worried that the side walls might get to close to the frame and chain... cheers!
Hi C4rlos - My rear is a 130/80. The main thing to be careful of is the height of the tyre for clearance as the swing arm isn’t very long. I think I’ve got about 20mm clearance at the moment. Will increase as chain slackens. Its not ideal as mud and gravel will scratch the swing-arm over time. Another thing to bear in mind is the sizes will vary with tread pattern. ie a tyre in same size from one manufacturer will likely be different to one from another particularly once you get into knobblies. Cheers
@@DormanDiaries thanks for your quick reply! The more I learn about tires I want to fit in my Interceptor the more I think I should really stick to factory sizes, especially the rear.. again thank you and safe rides!
I like the way people are personalising these bikes ! Be it just cosmetics or mechanicals everyone has thier own aesthetic and it's all thanks to the bike lending itself to being a blank canvas 👍 only ever seen one that looked like hammered dogshit , just couldn't get my head round it !
I agree it’s fantastic how RE have clearly built it to encourage modification and they do encourage it via collabs with bike builders like Revival etc.
@@DormanDiaries I think once Motone have developed specific parts for the twins as they have done the Bonnie's I think the world will be your lobster ! I swapped out the original indicators for the black Motone ones and they really suit the bikes retro feel , I've done a few mods but mostly blacking out silver parts , just waiting for new stainless downpipes to go with my S&S cans 👍
Hi Mate, I've put a spacer in the bottom of the fork leg and also previously put a spacer in the top take some slack out. But I do only have the standard 18 inch wheel not 21. Will do matey, not seen many bullets at all on my travels so be good to see one in the flesh. Always loved the look of them I think i would have bought one by now had the 650 not come out. Might still get a trials one day!
Nicely done, it's great to see a Royal Enfield Scrambler!
Thank you 🙏🏼
The bike looks great and totally unique. Excellent work.
Thank you Mr, I’m interested to see what you are doing to yours!
Lovely around Yatehome res! Ran round there everyday in the 90’s and 2000’s 😃👍 beautiful this part of West Yorkshire . Great bike and vid!

Great video. You've really inspired me to do loads of work, especially electric work, on my Interceptor. Thank you!
Thank you, glad I’ve been of use thats why I make them. Normal shirt but I’m wearing a Knox urbane pro underneath.

Such a nice build! Would you mind telling me where the short seat and luggage rack conversion are from? They look the business.

Bike's looking great! Digley Res?
Thank you and well spotted!
One of the best RE builds I’ve ever seen. I’m in love with that fuel tank, did you put decals on it or did it come that way?
Thanks pal! Glad you like it, I put the decals on, wasn't feeling the original badges.
Looks fantastic, where are the mirrors from?👍🏍🇬🇧
Hi Mr Dorman Diaries u should make a vid on Honda XR50 and the Kawasaki KE100
I know, I keep meaning to! I could use some help from the XR50 owner..........
Haha I’m sure u can do it and anyways ur the expert!

Very well, I couldn't sleep if it was somewhere important though like the frame!! That would have to be repaired!

Jubilee clips on the ends of fork gaiters were the norm in the past and they are very cheap
That’s so weird

Nailed it!!!
It's not. REAL motorcycle review unless it starts with putting your riding gloves on.
