merci de jouer si bien et avec sensibilité cette nouvelle musique moderne pour guitare qui charme nos oreilles et semble en effet comme chez Debussy en accord avec les rythmes naturels d'une nature apaisée..
Very fine playing: assured, captures Takmitsu's idiom (to my ears) and clearly delineates the sections of each piece. I also thought the forest background was tastefully done, capturing the moods of the pieces while not being obtrusive.
Funny enough this is a theme he quotes in almost all of his music known as the "water" theme and is the foundation for nearly every composition of his.
Whoa whoa hold on a second! Red card! From start to finish this video bears a striking (and extremely fishy) resemblance to a video Dave Veslocki and I created more than a year ago. If this isn’t straight up copying -- all the way down to the bird samples in the beginning -- then I don’t know what is. Sorry Benjamin but I just have to call you out. Have a little artistic integrity. Here’s the original for anyone who's interested. In the Woods: Wainscott Pond
I have seen both videos. I can't see any copying. Having the idea making a video in the wood with a piece called "in the woods" is not an Einstein mental masterstroke. You both play very nice, but very different. Even the video recording is different. I'm sure if the name of the piece was "in the lake" guitarists would come up with the idea playing with the feet in the water.

Fine playing and fine video. Thank you.
This deserves way more views.
This is possibly the best interpretation of this amazing piece that I've heard so far. Congratulat
Das ist mein sehr sehr netter Onkel auf dem ich sehr stolz bin
I come back to this so often. I appreciate you, Benjamin.
That stretch at 3:56. Amazing technique and impeccable composition.
great playing and video
Super musikalisch gespielt! Die Dammann klingt auch richtig Klasse!

Great playing! Really finding Takemitsu's inner Tonal language.
Wow! Once again, wonderful job.....Fun to listen to after a Debussy jag..........
So incredible. One of my favorite pieces of all time. Just did Toward the Sea at school, thinking about trying to play this on marimba.
the future memory of music;human outside with the birds...wonderful
Takemitsu had the personality.
Alucinante!!
Ufff, what a lilting wonder this is. I hear cross-pollination between Brouwer and Toru, but they are/were contemporaries. Luminous.
Du spielst ganz toll und super gut und schnell Gitarre
thanks for sharing
Benjamin Grundmann du spielst wunderschön Gitarre
notice the theme developed in the first piece (around 1:55 for example) same theme as the castle attack scene in Ran :D
I'm really late to the party but great catch!

👍😀😁
Incredible !
Sorry for the insolence but .. What is your nationality?
Sorry for the bad english
Dear Matheus, I am from Germany.
This song isn't based on a happy theme
DAS IST Mein Onkel Ben und Benni
This sounds no more dissonant to me than Villa Lobos........maybe my ears are growing up.
horriffic
