A little something previous generations called “integrity”, or “character”. You can’t talk about those human characteristics now because people don’t value them and will call you horrible things. Everyone has to play the victim card.
Ya know, I've said this before, and I'm sure I'll say it again, but here goes: Alec is a showman, and a very good one at that. But YOU, you are a craftsman. The shear quality of the things you make blows me away, time and time again.
I'm amazed you could make this in 10 minutes. I figured it would take a lot longer to forge. 🙂 Seriously, though, it's an amazing piece and it really shows off all the time and effort you put into honing your craft and into the piece itself.

If you read the whole post, I explicitly acknowledge the time and effort he put into it. Even if you didn't read the whole post, though, believing ANYONE thought a 10 minute video with dozens of cuts was somehow of a 10 minute process...That's entirely on you. Only Will could grind a perfectly straight 2ft median ridge only to etch his name as a slant....lol that's a great looking piece. Definitely something to be proud of keep up the awesome work Will.
ridiculous projects like this are great. The toasted marshmallow patterned handle is absolute perfection. Absolutely deserves the award it got at Blade Show. It's creative and audacious and hilarious.
Absolutely one of my favorite creations! It's magnificent! It actually deserves its own specially built, matching case to be stored in while between professional marshmallow roasting events. 😆 But seriously, it deserves its own specially built, matching case. What an artistic work of craftsmanship Will, ...really nice!
Exquisite craftsmanship as always. Every time I see Will using that needle gun I think of all the hours I spent ruining my wrists with one. Good times!
Hey ALEX…sorry to say this this … but you have been left in the dust … Will has been outshining you for a while now… THIS is now a gentleman worthy of respect in the creation he makes and the devotion he has in his craft, peers and tools… keep it up Will ,, we appreciate you.. God bless.
Simply stunning, and excellent editing to give us an idea of the work involved in just 10 minutes! Just one thing, I wish there was a clearer shot of the finished fork so I could pause and examine it more.
Blacksmiths are the worlds true artists. Anyone that takes glowing steel puts it under a machine that most people wouldn't walk within 10 ft of when it's pounding down with that kind of force, then twists said hot steel, pounds more, files, grinds, oils, polishes and on and on and turn out things like this can send people with their paint boxes and clay off to play with the blocks in the corner!
Idea for something that isn't a blade: A Kiseru, the japanese smoking pipe, in many circumstances were common for people that couldn't carry weapons, or even gangsters, to have quite long kiserus and use it for self-defense.
You should make damascus pattern BBQ tongs with a hand made spring and locking closed mechanism. Maybe 14 inches long. P.s. highly functional tongs. Ask some of your chef or cook friends what they look for in a very useful set of BBQ tongs. A pair that are an extention of ones own hands.
Well done! Once again, you raise the bar. Keep it up. Young man, you are the future of this craft. You follow the history and keep that history alive. Nicely done, Will.
Wow, that's amazing a lot of skill, knowlege and craftsmanship went into making that exquisite piece. I could never afford something like that, I guess i'll have to stick with my homemade coathanger wire one. You are an artist Will.
don't get me wrong, I love the videos with commentary... HOWEVER, there is a beauty to this form of video too that I found myself watching all the way through, and not at 2x speed like I normally do. VERY SATISFYING
I LOVE this format! Even the pommy git with with the wire brush hair couldn't ruin it! (It's a joke people! I love Alec's channel, but If the poms and the ozzies don't sledge each other, people get mad. So don't bother to write in.) Beautiful piece.
Hey Will, love your work. Just a critique on the audio. The content you create -for the vast majority - is Evergreen Content. But the lack of narrations or even annotations/regular notes on screen its unlikely to reach the potential audiance that your workmanship deserves. However, if you'd injected some voice over narration or text-overlays it would be a LOT easier for the uninitiated to understand. Just my 2 cents. Keep up with your awesomeness always!
That's a very very nice project. Have you considered getting a forging drawing roller for doing these damascus projects rather than beating the piece out on the hammer and press? I bet you'd get a lot more done faster.
Here I was watching your video thinking that it took you 10 minutes to make the marshmallow fork... then finishing this video and realizing you were titling it after the length of the video. Kewl fork!
That 1/2 second Alec "hellooooo" -- I hope their friendship never fades.

Another masterpiece, It is truly a joy to watch your pieces develop from raw steel to this! Well done, Sir.
should Will make Tamahagane prestige covers for harmonicas?
And not even Will, it was a wild Alec appearing!
Shoulda shown a little clip of your award for this amazing piece from blade show. Too humble eh?
He's the best for his humility.

Alec's damascus swords prove he is not a showman but i get your point and i agree, Alec is loud showman most of time and Will is quiet craftsman
@@mrgodBG Agreed it is clear both have some serious skills and patience, just presenting them in different styles.
Alec my be part showman but his work sold for 16k us i would say that makes him a craftsman
Wow, the damascus lines really worked well into the 'guard'. Great piece, Will.
Love the Alex cameo lol. This thing is pretty sick!!!
i love the way the handle looks like roasted marshmallow and how the guard became mini roasting forks. Very creative piece! The pommel looks epic too!
I'm glad Marty has been making more cameos. Solid dude
That was Alec, i think.
Yep Alec Steele.
@@shopdoc Marty is the name of Will's dog

The video is 10 minutes my guy… this took hours and hours. Days.

Just amazing craftsmanship! Both the blacksmithing AND the editing!!
WOW! In Texas, that would be one Hell of a BBQ Fork for the grill! Beautiful!
Love the mini forks on the guard! Handy for holding spares!

Absolutely gorgeous work and such a cool video to sit back and watch a true craftsman work his craft.
6500$ and worth every penny. That's a masterpiece. It's amazing Will, well done.
buy it
Really enjoyed the process without conversation. Joy to watch a master at work
No spoiler but when you know who made a cameo that was awesome! Great job on that art Will, God bless ya!
I really loved this simple no talk video, just enjoying the making of and machine sounds
I always have been and will be intrigued by the craftmanship of a blacksmith. It unites Power and Art to make such fine pieces Like this.
A Wild Alec Appears!!!! XD
And just as quickly as he appears, he disappears!
you're a maniac and I love you for it...well done!
This video is definitely going to get millions of views.

That, my friend, is a thing of beauty.
Outstanding project.

Fantastic! and the little surprise 'hello' was very funny too.
Congratulations on "Best of the rest" at the show, awsome job❤
Nice hilt design. You can have two marshmallows at the ready for roasting.
This is the most EXTRA marshmallow roasting fork ever, and I love it! Thank you for sharing
I really enjoyed this video. I like hearing you talk about the process and what youre doing, but this was a fun change of pace. Pure artistry.
That is a perfect video, no music, nice camera work finished with amazing work with iron. This why we watch 😊
This was fun to watch the build again with a different edit.
You are an amazing Blacksmith .
Beautiful piece of metalwork .
My wife loves your knives and other kitchen items you have made.

Will, I must say, that is the most beautiful Valyrian steel marshmallow fork that I've ever seen.

Alec hopping in to 'Steele' some of the spotlight.
Love the video with no commentary. Great showcasing of your skills.
Incredible piece. The handle looks like a chrysalis or cocoon. Almost alien-like. Beautiful Damascus pattern as well. 🤌🤌

I think this is my most favorite thing you've made, other than only the pizza cutter maybe. 👍
I liked the sounds this time round. Good artistry ❤

Love how the only word spoken was hello from Alec
I could easily see something like this being used as the trophy at BBQ competitions. Especially if paired with one of your chefs knives.
Really nice piece of art.
