I've seen some major freak outs myself even in recent times and just wonder why they get so scared. It more than likely isn't accurate because most people will use really bad grabbers to try and feel powerful and it won't even lead directly to your location in most cases, just your general area. And even then they can be completely wrong and say you're in a place you've likely never even heard of.

@@whoknows3252When obtaining IP addresses with malicious intend, then you should be worried. If someone maliciously obtains your public ip address, then you’re at risk of being ddosed. Among other attacking practices, which I doubt most wannabe hackers know, it could be a serious threat.
