LK I love you but it was like 2 months ago hahaha. Either way, excellent video. Clearly Axl is a bit of a problem, getting eliminated by the wizard dude last year and remi this year. There are some pretty strong Axl's in the community discord who I'm sure would love to run sets with you if you're ever interested. I would love to see you back in top 8!

Very interesting video! It’s also worth noting that some random upsets like what happened to zando very nearly happened to the top 2. Leffen almost lost in r2 pools to a relatively unknown axl and an asuka player almost beat NBNHMR in r2 pools as well.

Fun topic for a video. Though I will say the editing felt a little too snappy and jump cutty, but that just might be my personal taste haha. Either way great vid!

Im pretty sure playing at EVO feels like playing the Celestial Floor trial but you need to win 50 matches and can only lose 1, and every player you face are the N°1 player of the server

Cool video! Glad I got to catch LK VS Remi Celeste live. I think a 4 day event would also make it harder for people to get the time to come out for it, it might benefit the tourney logistically but not the convention side.

I really agree with the statement that it was harder for Leffen to make top 6 than to win Evo. That's such a grind, but once he got that comeback against Peppery, it was almost set in stone. He excels on the momentum from playing his best, and that was peak performance. Also, HC had no tricky matchups in top 6. A well rested Leffen feeling like from God the day before, with no Leo's or May's or Chipp's, it was kinda in the bag. I remember saying he was gonna win out loud the day before finals.

Massive respect to Tene for recognizing the amount of mental and physical energy needed to win a major like EVO with Happy Chaos. People really think this character just wins stuff mad easy and thats why him winning 2 EVO's is not impressive. Its such a crazy take because while HC is strong in a singular set, lasting a full 10+ hour tourney where he then has to fight the best of the best is mad hard.
Yes HC is probably top 3 if not top 1. But in these massive endurance settings you would really be better off betting on a Nago, Sol, or Leo. Leffen played out of his fucking mind.

Do you guys ever do day long marathons to train for these tourneys or is everyone just too busy
