If you're new here, I'm a former beauty/makeup RUclipsr who has transitioned to reactions because I love experiencing new things with y'all. I'm a definite ARMY (one of the non-toxic ones, I promise), but I'm so excited to discover other KPOP groups as well. I have plenty of love to go around. Music/singing is a great passion of mine and I'm excited to share that passion with you! Join me on this journey. It might be a tad chaotic and unfocused at times, but we will definitely have fun! I upload Monday through Saturday with a Patreon coming soon.

When Kids write hard hitting songs they hit hard. When they want to get you in the feels... they make a tearjerker. Bace yourself when you will come across Slump, Secret, secret, Winter falls... in general most of songs written solely by Han or Changbin. Han esp poures his soul out. I know that it dosent have an MV but you should hear Charmer. Its not sad but according to most it is the best song on the album.
Definitely agree 100%
Stray kids the lyrics & the production do tie together often. So listening or reading the lyrics to familiarize first can enhance the viewing experience & at time are going to like a line in lyrics & watch for how they illustrated it in video.
If going the flip side- is more the angle of watching the video & trying to guess what the video is trying to illustrate.
I prefer lyrics first or watching it once focusing on the lyrics & a 2nd time for the production.
That said you are our host- therefore it is best if you choose the way that you feel enhances YOUR experience & we in the audience respect your approach to enjoying our mutual interest.
No matter which approach you choose- I am a fan of you & SKZ so I will be here regardless ❤😂
That was so personal and vulnerable of you. Love your honest reaction(s) and authenticity. Wish you nothing but the best and keep doing what makes you happy
When Oddinary first came out, I ranked this song last -not that I didn’t like it but because I felt like it didn’t resonate with me. But then one day I was listening to it and I dunno, it just clicked and I full own bawled. I absolutely agree with you on societal expectations. You should go to college, marry, punch out 2.5 kids, have $100k+ saved, etc etc. But our generation (I’m 36) is not doing that and the boomers have such an issue with it. My very traditional aunt asked my mom why I wasn’t married. Like??? Who cares? It’s not bothering you? Let me make my own path! I’m going to fail and fall but I’ll pick myself up and continue down it!
Even though I’m older than skz, their songs still really hit hard, especially the ones about growing up. You don’t stop growing up when you turn 20! I really wish I had these guys when I was young but I’m so glad I have them now.
Lonely St is a beautiful song and experiencing it live was magic. The entire arena was singing along and I think we all had chillsl! They have so many hard hitting songs but a lot of beautiful slower ones too. I definitely encourage you listen to the three other songs on Oddinary that don’t have mvs. Waiting For Us in particular!
I’m having so much fun going on this journey with you!
I'm sure they're amazing live! Thanks so much for sharing with me ❤️
i like it when you first read the lyrics and then watch the MV (like you did in this video)! :)
but do whatever is most comfortable for you!
They said in the Oddinary intro that this song was written about how they’re feeling in the moment. All of 3racha have written and/or spoken about mental health and I think songs like this hit harder because of this.
Chan has also spoken about how he likely wouldn’t be here (as in “not on this Earth”) if he hadn’t found SKZ when he did.
They’re always so open about mental health which you don’t see much in kpop imo!
There's no reason to apologize, just always be yourself. Cry when you feel like crying, laugh when you feel like laughing, even if people will talk sh*t behind your back. Shame on them! The Kids talk about it all the time on the lives, write songs about it, and actively promote the value of personality and individuality. You are you, you are unique and beautiful just the way you are!
❤️
I'm similar to you regarding being emotional with confrontation or being overly frustrated when explaining myself. Drives me nuts cuz I just want to say something but my emotions are like 'hey, this can't be easy for you, let us help emphasize what your saying to make this awkward'.
As for the lyrics, they are a big reason I am such a big fan of theirs. They do such an amazing job at capturing the feelings they want us to experience and making the songs extremely relatable. They pull from their own experiences or experiences they feel STAYs are going through and need support with. There is clear purpose behind their songs. I really wish I had their music when I was growing up. It would have really helped teenage me get through things.
I agree as well with the whole societal expectations crap. I'm 37 and had plenty of 'I don't want to but it is what's expected' situations. I do have my almost 15 year old son, but never got married. I have my job, but don't know if I'd call it a career. I joined the military before I even graduated high school, but it wasn't for me. I went to college, but just ended up in huge debt I can't pay back and essentially 2 useless degrees at this point. But now the way I see it is these are all experiences I can share with my son to hopefully prevent him from doing the same. I try to make him understand that his life is his own and he doesn't have to do or be anything unless he truly wants to.
Thank you for being open with us. I understand not feeling completely comfortable with crying on here. If you never are, that's fine. At the end of the day these videos have to be what you want to do and what makes you happy. How you structure the videos is also up to you. I think the main reason I like seeing reactors do the lyrics video is to clearly see who is singing what. Some will watch it after the MV so they can form their own opinions or understanding of what's going on first and then see if they were right with the lyrics. Again, it comes down to how you want to experience the content. 😀
I'm really enjoying your videos so far. It's nice watching from the beginning of your journey. Even though I've seen all the stuff, it's like me experiencing the firsts again. I'm still a newer STAY (May of this year), so the feelings are still fresh. Looking forward to the next video.
Thank you for sharing that with me 😊❤️
Omg i have a lot to comment but I’ll save it for videos. Most of the kids’ songs with this like theme hit really hard, they treat topics like depression, being to old for something, anxiety, loneliness and they make you feel like really someone understands your thoughts without judging them. Ia have cry with plenty of their song and feel identificated as well. Something i have learn from them is that it’s never to late.
I'm sad you cried but happy the song touched you the same way it touched me.
Honesty, I loved your take on how the society have certain paths ready for us to just take without regard to any of our wants.
I live in Egypt, and I totally feel the same way. The problem is that because I've been trained to only do what's expected of me, the moment I freed my self from that, I became so lost. Just because I don't know what I want out of life and I feel like time is rushing and I haven't done anything worth telling but at the same time I can't go back to just doing what's expected.
The title of the song resonated with me so much because I truly feel like I'm in a lonely street.
Truly loved your reactions and the ones before this. You are so genuine and fun ♥️
I'm so sorry you feel that way too. It's hard to go against what's the norm since there's no blueprint. You just have to figure it out as you go. I hope you find your path and happiness someday. ❤️
i'm 25 and i feel what you said at the end SO HARD!!! i think we all can choose our own path but society really does try to make us feel bad about it. it really sucks.
but thank you for talking about it because i relate so much and it's nice to feel not so alone about being so sensitive and all that.
Definitely not alone 😊❤️
omg that's a good idea. i'm so glad you took the suggestion well 🥺 thank you so much
The way that you describe yourself, sounds like you are a real Stray Kid. So, welcome to the family!
Thank you ❤️
SKZ actually have a fair bit of rocky music! I only listened to like alt/indie/metal before getting into them and obviously it's not fully in the genre but it utilizes it more than most kpop! Most of it's older but some things to maybe listen to in ur own time or however; yayaya, slump, awaken, beware, my side, hello stranger, then id even say a bit of red lights and "time out" is like summer punk pop.
I really fell in love with them even in late 2017 because they fuse genre's amazingly well and i feel like they did experimental music as a craft before it really rolled into mainstream kpop (and their experimental is still a different format!). As you go, you'll see they talk a lot about not just trying to make stuff they know will do well but stuff they dont mind it being made fun of bc they like it.
Please react to Stray kıds 'secret secret' and the response song 'silent cry'
I wish u react to these songs with lyrics - ‘Secret Secret’, ‘Silent Cry’, ‘Streetlight’ by Changbin, ‘and Alien’ by Han.
No it's okay I actually appreciate this reaction more than anything bc it what we really felt about this song too, I can feel your pain even I'm just 22 years old but I really can relate to what u said that's why this song every time hit on your heart ,, the reason why skz is now part of my life bc their songs is so relatable bc they made their music with their own experience the way we all could relate bc we all have different experiences of that case
You’re not too late, lovely. You do you at your own pace (not only my opinion, but you’ll discover it’s another huge recurring message in SKZ music actually). I’ve had a very varied life, many many homes in different towns and different countries. Many different jobs in many different, completely unrelated, fields. And I loved it all! I love the variety. It’s okay to go at your pace. And it’s never too late to change your career path or how you feel about relationships and family, at any age. There’s no set in stone rule that says you only need to stick to one thing either. Try it all if you want. I have too many interests to choose just one thing. I’m over 40 now and I haven’t got a clear path ahead of me, but I have a very interesting path I’ve already walked. Wouldn’t change that for anything. You’re okay ;)
Thank you 😊❤️
I really liked your words at the end
I really appreciated that you open up to us like this and I have to say, as someone who cry really easily too, that it's okay to react like that !
But I have to warn you then the majority of stray kids songs have deep meaning and some of them are really hard to listen to. Like the first time I listened to Another day with the lyrics I was on the vergé of crying and I was trembling because I was overwhelmed because of the lyrics. And the worst was probably when I listen to the English version of Slump, I literally burst into tears and couldn't stop crying for half an hour. Even three hours after I had the lyrics in my head and I wanted to cry.
That's definetly one of the reason as why I love stray kids so much they are not afraid to talk about taboo topics and they always do it with the right words.
On a happier tone, you talked about the fact that you love rock and so I have to tell you that stray kids have multiples rock songs like Yayaya, Awaken or Time out !
I've never commented on your videos but I really enjoy your reactions and I'm excited to see the rest of your stray kids journey !
The synopsis was very interesting. This is among my top 3 songs, and it really gives me a lot of comfort. I'm on a new path that is lonely (recently divorced) and it's been hard. My friends aren't into kpop either (their loss!!), But Stray Kids make me feel less lonely all the time. Love these guys so much.
And yes I was as touched by this song as you! This song and Streetlight really compete for my nbr 1 fav song...and both written by Changbin, who is also my ult bias. 🥰
You should definitely do the #lovestay song you’ll even hear Felix sing it’s not an “official” song but it is a really good one
Girl, please I can't even watch the teaser without crying my soul out. Love your reactions 💙 and independently of how you chose to react I will keep liking cuz the lovelyness of it it's you 🤗
Thank you ❤️
Don't worry sweetheart. Every stay was crying river's by watching this the first time. It's ok
This song was my least favorite on the album until one day I decided to listen to it and give it another chance. I cried for an hour straight LOL. I don't know why but it hit me really hard. SKZ have a lot of songs that sound really upbeat but are actually very sad like this one. Han and Changbin especially have written a lot of songs that have made me emotional. They like to really dump all their emotions and thoughts in their lyrics, and are very honest. That's actually what made me a Stay.
Also this song is incredible live. If you ever get the chance to react to a live version, I highly recommend that. I remember when this song came on at their concert and EVERYONE was singing along. That + the song itself made me even more emotional :^) Chan told us during his Vlive from the night before that he couldn't wait to hear everyone sing the "still astray" line with him, so we made sure to do it as loud as we could.
Love it so much that you’re showing your real reaction & yes this songs slaps hard ://
The song that got me was Ex, that one make me cry and i didnt expect it. The pink eyeshadow look so pretty on you 🌸, love your videos, please react to Hello stranger and Ex 🌼🐇
This song is so good
I mean I can relate almost everything you said in this video, I think you are strong too, and good for you because you are making your own path, that’s impressive. I felt the song deep in my soul again, as I was listening for the first time, it’s so good. Thank you for this video haha x
totally not stalking ur channel istg..
You might wanna react to their song Awaken... for that rock vibe
As a millennial that is a couple of years older than you, I can tell you that the biggest mistake we make in our 20s and 30s is to hold ourselves to the expectations and timelines that we created in our teens and early 20s, when we knew nothing about life let alone who we were. Yet, as we get older we keep going back to that timeline and expectation trying to make sense and make it fit when it's never going to because the day after you made that expectation for yourself you were already a different person. There are very few real timelines in life, for most things there is no deadline. The best thing we can do for ourselves is be a bit more lenient and patient with ourselves. Appreciate 16yr old us who had big dreams, for the beauty of being so brave and believing in our potential but at the same time love our current self for knowing better and being brave enough to seek happiness in its many different iterations. Best of luck on your path I hope you get to keep doing what makes you happy! ❤
Thank you ❤️
I CAN relate
*Hugs*
❤️
also I'm the same with like confrontation/getting yelled at. when I was younger and I'd get yelled at, I'd immediately start crying 🤣 I remember a few times when I was younger and my parents would yell at me, I'd start crying, then they'd yell at me to stop crying lol. I never thought I'd find someone who was the same
Yeah, luckily it doesn't happen too often.
I think the last time was a few years ago when my principal and assistant principal were telling me my teacher contract would not be renewed for the next school year. I barely heard anything, I was trying too hard not to cry 😭.
@@RedheadReacts aww. it's hard to see it in the moment, but everything works out eventually.
in high school, someone copied my essay. so the teacher thought I gave it to them to copy. as the teacher told me what happened, I just started crying, which just made him think I was guilty and did it on purpose 😭 so, I worked really hard on an essay and got 20 points off because I cried. oh well. I think it made me stronger though because I won't falsely take blame again
I will say that the only thing about reading genius lyrics is that the translations can be iffy, but if you don’t mind that then whatever is comfortable for you!
❤
Have you checked out xdinary heroes? They are kpop band under jype. I think you will like them since you like rock
I have not yet, but I will hopefully get to them in the near future
my god, 32?! your skin looks AMAZING lol. I was thinking you might be my age or younger. I'm 27 with more wrinkles than you lol. I know you've ventured a bit away from it on your channel, but (if you don't mind) what's your skincare routine like?
I'm still always happy to talk about makeup/beauty! I don't do much. In the morning, I wipe my face with some micellar water (Garnier's with vitamin c is my current favorite). Then I put on some e.l.f face cream with SPF, then my sunscreen, and then goes my makeup. At night, I use e.l.f. makeup remover balm, then their daily hydration cleanser, and finish with their daily hydration moisturizer. I'm definitely loving e.l.f. right now 😄. I'm looking into retinol (since I'm getting up there now).
@@RedheadReacts ahhhh that's pretty cool. I haven't heard much about elf products for skincare recently. I'll try to pick up their face cream and moisturizer. spf is definitely where I'm lacking lol. thanks for the response!
i love your ring! where is it from?
i mean the one on your right hand just to clarify lol
I got it on Amazon. This specific one isn't available anymore, but it's from the brand Chuvora.
